The black and tan colors are always my favorites for an interior. The hexagon pattern is very modern and upscale looking. The final seat design is stunning. I’m really looking forward to seeing the final finished project. Excellent work!
My compliments! what a beautiful!! job. I am a very detail oriented person and really appreciate this level of work. Better than the factory could ever deliver. I own a Baron with an Aviation Design interior with recessed headrests. Nothing like a craftsman at work.
I fly a baron as well, I'm curious about your avionics upgrades. I was told with the de-ice boots that I might as well keep a vacuum powered attitude indicator since you need the vacuum system for the boots and that it can cause issues if you just cap the line off to the instruments since the pump is running against more resistance. Did you find a way around that or have any issues?
The attitude indicator can be removed as well to move to digital. The vacuum regulator will need to be adjusted for lack of gyros. Our Avionics shop has completed this many times. No issues. If you want to keep the vac ADI it’s up to you.
Sat in a fairly new G58 and was dismayed that my head was hard against the ceiling. Is it like that in all 58 barons, and how much headroom can you make back when redoing seats (your are gorgeous btw)?
I am 6’2” and have to slouch a little or recline the seat slightly. On the reupholster we are using the softest foam possible so I sink more. We are designing it so that we can swap to the next dense foam if the first one is too soft. So we are purposefully trying to be as thin as possible without sacrificing comfort.
@@RMAG Thanks! I’m 6’3”. Looking forward to your report! With my Archer budget, I’ll never own a Baron, but I like to keep that daydream alive! Loved your Mooney!
Way cool! An RMag video!
