I would suggest a G500 Txi, two GI 275 as standby, a GFC 600 AP, a GTN 750, a GTN 650, a new TX with traffic awareness, and two new IO 550, and your plane will not only last for the next 50 years, but also be a high-end GA airplane! I know, this investment will be around 350.000 $, but consider the price of a used DA42 and compare the value! The Baron will be cheaper and better!
You sell yourself short! It's more than just a "stable, reliable platform". It's a great airplane! (I have a few hours on a B-58). The very pinnacle of piston engine aviation! The next step up would be a turbo-prop or a jet, but all are on the wrong side of $1,000,000.
Yes, I agree with you. Beech Baron is unsurpassed in the light twin category and has stood the test of time being in production for 60 years. Very few aircraft have been in production for 60 years. It is certainly the pinnacle of piston general aviation aircraft for those reasons I had no doubt it would meet the mission.
Damn i would've kept the ash trays.
Why are you wearing sunglasses in a closed hangar?

To be wronged is nothing unless you continue to remember it.
I’ve flown in a B55 fitted with the IO-550s
What are your real world performance and fuel burn? Looking at the same model potentially.
