One of the best horror sequels ever made. The end of the movie taking place in the doll factory still goes so hard. Love this movie even more than the first.
This one, Halloween 3 Season of the Witch, Friday the 13th 2 are definitely the best horror movie sequels, also White Noise 2: The Light and Dr. Sleep and even Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and Final Destination 5.
Technically the southern hemisphere is beginning to enter its spring season so by the time this is finished summer will be in full swing for them so for once viewers from south of the equator will actually have a summer series for themselves finally. You're a very good host for your international audience.
The miscellaneous season of Chucky continues. This movie gave the series one of its better characters in Kyle. She’s technically still a kid herself, but she is honestly one of the smartest characters in the whole series.
For the first three movies the better aspect emotionally is how Andy is a normal human being and a kid going through some of the harshest and roughest kind of parts of human life but specifically for kids. Because of Chucky's actions we see a single mom struggling in Chicago with a tiny apartment trying to do her best for her son, an older scarred child who manages to actually make new family in the form of Kyle even with chuckles efforts and highlighting the harshness that is the foster care system a bit earlier I think before it became such a rampant film Trope for a while, and the third movie touching up on older troubled kids being forced into military schools. Which is why regressing and ditching the previous films cast every movie was my biggest complaint of every film for me. This movie ignoring the cops testimony just so they could put Andy's mom in The Nut House forever, Kyle presumably being sent to jail for the murders or foster care again never to return, and the third movie ended with Andy going back to jail and losing his first taste at romance if I'm right. I've yet to watch the later sequels but I know Andy shows up at some point as a vengeful adult and you know what I hope he killed Chuck for good.
5:02 Andy running away the moment he saw a Chucky doll fall is too real. He quickly glance at it, was like “nope” ,and stepped over it and ran as fast as he could.
I know it's going to sound crazy but the theory I had on why the dumbbella spelled didn't work remember John told him the more times he spending that body the more human he becomes I mean his vessel and heart is still in that same doll's body it was just giving new parts and everything
The first movie was part of some pretty severe childhood trauma delivered by my older brother and his best friend. Forced myself to watch all of them as I got older to help deal, love them now. Can't wait to see the next review!
He's a lil dry and crusty in some of the shots of him speaking, but the inactive doll version looks soooo good. I assume they had to make the face with a different material for the speaking version.
Hey fellow ADHDer! It`s so good to hear and see another hyperactive person, but, I have a horrible edge. I`m also bi-polar type 2, so hyperactivity with mania. yea.......When you talked about the kid getting in trouble by reacting to a personal disturbance with the ending"...memories." Grace Zabriskie is a really nice lady. She played my friend's grandmother, on Big Love. We lived in the same neighborhood. It's the Los Feliz area of Hollywood. Candyman shops at the same Vons (grocery store) with his daughter, as Grace. So, sometimes you might see both of them, when you go there. A lot of other stars are in that neighborhood.
Anyone else remember the made for TV end credits scene where Chucky's body gets tossed into the hot plastic and we see his new head on the conveyor belt and he gives a sinister smile to the camera

Can't call it The Fall of Chucky? Or, rather, The Autumn of Chucky? Also unfortunate timing for the Chucky series to suddenly be cancelled, leaving it on a cliffhanger and leaving everything unresolved. Guess that means both Andy and Kyle are now presumed dead.
The Extended TV Cut of *"CHILD'S PLAY 2"* had extra scenes that showed Phil Simpson (Gerrit Graham) as more of a false protagonist and is portrayed in a much more sympathetic light, unlike in the Theatrical Cut.
I love your videos! Also, Decker, in case if you're wondering what powers Chucky was calling on, it's the West African Serpent God of Voodoo known as Damballa.

Am I the only one mad that Joan didn't stick up for Andy when Phil accused him of breaking the statue. Seeing as how she was with him the whole time.
That's kinda my whole thing with "The Final Character" is how no-one believes anything they say
No. Because they don’t know when Andy broke it. He could have come down stairs at 5am when everyone was asleep and smashed it.
"This is our incredibly important, valuable and fragile heirloom. Which is why we keep it put in the middle of the room on a very low surface."

This is definitely one of my favorite horror movie sequels, alongside one of my favorite 90s horror films in general.
Child's Play 2 (1990) is my favorite Child's Play movie
This was quick
Phil definitely just wanted that meal ticket
With how old the movie is, it has aged so well
