    As someone who studied, worked and lived in US and then moved to Canada. My advice for people thinking of US to Canada, "Don't". 90 % of people who move from US to Canada hate it. Only people coming from India, who have no other reference model are impressed by Canada.
    Unless you are sure you cannot adjust back in India, or want a passport as backup, only then move to Canada. Other scenario is if you are from an Indian body shop - Infosys, TCS as a contractor in US and your strings are pulled from Indian management.
    I know many people who moved from US to Canada, some left within few months or a year. Some waited till they get Canadian passport and then left.
    The tech job market is poor in Canada, salaries are low, inflation is high, houses are crap and expensive. Taxes are high and you can die waiting to receive healthcare here. I had many surgeries in US, regular x-ray and tests in US, with good insurance (that you get from employer), its very continent. Overall, Canadians are not nicer than Americans. Quebec people are outright rude. Canadians are not as accepting and tolerant as Americans. There is a reason

      Could you tell me where you lived in Canada (the location actually), how was your job search, and when you visited a clinic/hospital (the location and the clinic or hospital name if you could)? Cos I can prove you incorrect in each and every point you bashed against Canada but yeah, waiting for your reply.
      Canadians are not nice???? Housing is crap??? Lol, Dunno where in Canada you lived?
      Maybe Brampton (where Indian dudes are outright rude and never rent house or even offer some water unless you knew Hindi or Punjabi) and yes you are right, a section of ppl (Hindi and Punjabi dudes) are 100% not nice in Brampton.

      Have you figured out that USA has a debt of 33.5 trillion dollars. That is uncollected taxes. When they start collecting that money, your tax situation will be much worse than in Canada. Also the social security and medicare is falling apart or running to nil. Also only good thing about US is you can carry around your AR 15.

      Just did recent visit to GTA. Everything mention is true. Yes Canadian are welcoming as mention in videos, there are polite but not welcoming at all. And there could be a reason, due to heavy immigration, local Canadian are forced to compete with immigrants. Coming to infra- roads are broken in windsor and no proper road sign. About jobs no match with USA and Indi. But why I want to come because my kid is raised in North America and he doesn’t know much about India and in future I can use - Tn visa, e2 visa.

      Quebec people are rude really. I'm insulted. Explain me that. I'm a Quebec person. Don't mix politicians and people. A lot of immigrant works as public servant in Canada and Quebec. Something you don't see that much in many other countries and states.

    The problem with Canada 🇨🇦 is that it relies on young immigrants for the taxes to feed their old rather than relying on them for innovation. It's not like Canada 🇨🇦 is bad place it's just that it has a bad policy towards business. Why would a skilled immigrant with a great business idea and deep pockets want to stay in Canada 🇨🇦 rather than use it as a gateway into USA 🇺🇸 where you are paid more, taxed less and have better access to the capital. No body does PhD in STEM to work in McDonald's. It's like Canada 🇨🇦 has immigrants who are well suited for the USA 🇺🇸 (highly educated and talented) and USA has immigrants Canada 🇨🇦 wants (willing to work in hard labour jobs, although illigal).

      Talented Indians are coming to Canada only because it takes 40 to 50 years to get US green card. Canada is no replacement for the US. Due to some personal reasons, I decided to move from US to India. But I thought to have a backup and I moved here 2 years back, and if given a choice, I would have never moved here. I am just waiting for another year to pass, take citizenship and leave for India.
      I missed US when I lived in India, and even now in Canada I miss US. Every time I drive from US to Canada, I feel depressed. Broken roads, poor infrastructure. Roads in Ottawa and Montreal and crap while if you drive in upstate NY, Vermont, NH you see good quality roads and they have same weather as Ottawa/Montreal. Not to mention houses everywhere in US, with a beautiful countryside.

    Hi I am just saying that I follow a group called Indians in Toronto. Very engaging and helping group. Over there I see people who are earning more than 100k a year are planning to go to india. I am not saying Canada is bad. All the people who might say Canada is bad to live, if you ask them when are you leaving Canada, they won’t give an answer. So just relax, just know that we have to struggle to get a job and support a family not only here but everywhere. And all jobs are not stable everywhere.

      For tech people, India is much better. I moved from US to India, but found it very difficult to adjust. I wanted to get a backup, as I cannot get US green card due to backlog, I thought of getting Canadian passport as backup. In India, I was getting around 50L of base salary and in Canada I get around 150K of base. I had better purchasing power in India. The only country that surpasses tech jobs in India, either for pay or quality of work is United States. I moved from US to Canada and trust me, its better to spend whole life in US on H-1B than work in Canada.
      For my case, if my parents were not in question, I did not had a strong desire to return to India (although with backup of US/Canadian passport), I would immediately run to US on H-1B. Better spend whole life on H-1 than live in Canada.

I can live freely in India closer to parents snd in future if i want to move to US, i dont need to get H-1B stamped. Since i would be on H1 for eternity, it makes more sense. All people are choosing Ontario and that is going to make the situation bad. I don't think (from the people I've met) Canadians are against immigration itself, it seems they're uneasy about huge numbers of people of 2/3 groups that dominate the immigration figures. People that, realistically, have no historical, social, cultural or political link to the country *at all*. It's not a multi-cultural immigration system at that point. It's heavily represented by a few.

      lol, it dosent take a genius to know how bad India Is... unclean and still with a poor standard of living and human development Index is next to nothing.
      there is no city planning or proper administration in place, nd even if they do everybody are corrupt and billigerent to anybody who wants to know the state of affairs within the govt. , there are no ethics for freedom of speech, no ethics followed in the hospitals, doctors are a complete joke, they sell you medicines than cure your illness, nd if you ask whats in the prescription, he'd just mutter a few words and wont say it clearly for you to know , food is unregulated in the country, heck even saudi banned import of chillis from India cuz it has alot of pesticide residue in it . there are still areas in India which has black outs, stray dogs roaming on roads in a pack , animal feeces throughout road , human wastes littred through out road, cops are mostly corrupt dont have any moral standards, traffic polices are corrupt and will confront any driver as they please to extort money. there are no regulation to overlook a safe construction in a neigbourhood, food processing is by and large to this day unregulated in restaurants. potholes on roads & highways even tho you pay road tax and toll gate fee and other tax related to the vehicle and the list goes on... so India was never a great country to be in, and it likely will never be until corruption has been rooted out, freedom of speech/right to know is on everyone's lip and caste racial segregation has been totally abolished.

      @ajaykumarsrinivasan5404 11 місяців тому +1

      Well, I honestly see no much glitches. If you look at the pattern, they have been consistently doing Occupation Specific (Healthcard, Agri, STEM) and Language (Francophones) draw and not sure why you it is quoted as a glitch.
      If you can look back at the draws for the last 4 months, there have been just two to three FSW draws and that too with a very less frequency.
      From IRCC's standpoint, it is right cos they have too many FSW dudes (especially Indians) and many occupations (Healthcare for example) are short of people.
      So yes, I guess they will continue to do Category or Occupation based draws and might lessen 'No Program Specified Draw' numbers.
      Yesterday there was another update that they are going to launch a program to just have FSW Francophones draw which will further reduce 'No Program Specified Draw' numbers.
      So yes, I absolutely see no glitch when they are able to do all other draws consistently without FSW or 'No Program Specified Draw'

    • @Majapahit-wb2kx
      @Majapahit-wb2kx 11 місяців тому

      @@ajaykumarsrinivasan5404 Exactly. There’s no glitch! But they didn’t have any draws (even for Healthcare, French, Trades, STEM etc) since October 26. They should atleast bring back the CEC draws if not for the FSW draws or all-program draws for all the PGWP holders who worked and paid taxes for all these years.

      @@Majapahit-wb2kxWell, paying taxes alone is not a criteria buddy. One needs to explore options and see how one can be survival of the fittest. Indian (Hindi speaking especially ) dudes never would leave Brampton at any cost and do not want to explore provinces such as Nova Scotia, PEI, and other wonderful provinces. So how can one go beyond their (Brampton) comfort zone if they are not willing to.
      Unfortunately draws are not happening and I get your point. But IRCC honestly does not give a damn and all they need is those who can qualify their CRS of 530 and above. I personally know a dude who resides in Brampton and I used to tell him to migrage to Winnipeg or Edmonton for clinching more opportunities. He used to say that 99 percent of Indians (People from north of India) would never even think a sec of leaving Brampton and he too kept refusing. There came a time when his PGWP was expiring and he could have honestly left Brampton and his comfort zone. But no Indian is gonna leave Brampton and try options in other provinces when times are not good.
      This is the sad reality of Indians' obsession with Brampton

    Realistically Canada does not have that many jobs to support so many immigrants, its going to be increasingly difficult for those people and also Canadian govt too for making space for so many immigrants under one umbrella. On the top of everything the licensing exam - it makes no sense if someone is immigrating with Masters in Tech degree in their respective field to sit for licensing exams in Canada, I do think health care licensing is something that is mandatory because the health standards change but for streams like Mechanical Engineering or Tech Engineering - I have never understood why Canada makes it difficult for people who want to come and work over here. First of all its not like that its a mind blowing economy , its an above average economy but still the govt wants to keep making life difficult. Canada needs more entrepreneurial visas than work visas , there needs to be job creation in the country.
