that drum beat and vocal gives me goosebumps still
The movie need more diversity! Not everyone from Africa is Blac* lmao 🤦
@@Ryanlexz everyone knows Africa is not fully black but those who are not black (excluding whites from colonies) like North "Africans" are more linked to Asia-Mediterranean than the rest of Africa so that's why Africa is still called the Land of the blacks.
@@Ryanlexz cry more, cultist
@@king_halcyon bro who calls it that 😭
@@Ryanlexz then don't watch the movie 🙄
Still can’t believe it’s been over two year today since we lost Chadwick Boseman, truly he will always be remembered as our MCU King T’Challa , R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman. 💜🖤
has it really been 2 years?
@@Degenerick yeah its been 2 years since chadwick boseman passed away
It hasn't yet it will be two in August
@@insomniac4305 its pretty much august already. just one week of july left
Dude you still got a whole month left until it’s 2 years lol
It's good to see the many aspects of Pan African culture from everywhere come together and celebrate Chadwick and Black Panther. We proved without a shadow of a doubt that different cultures can coexist and thrive together
It is so incredible to see Kevin unapologetically include west African cultures and adding fantasy to it 😀!! Makes me proud
Black Panther is gonna be a great movie!!! RIP Chadwick for bringing this masterpiece to us!!! ❤
Yeah, because of the credit scene with Dr. Doom.
@@tordb also because the movie will be great
Good luck enjoying secondary characters
@@tordb dude have some respect
@@theanimedopeboy you too
Marvel has truly landed on something incredible. Black Panther was a moment. I believe BP2 will be even greater
no chadwick isn't in it
@@judeolsen6708 doesn't matter
@@judeolsen6708 his memory will be recognised in this film for certain, rest in peace.
Impossible.
@@AnimeBronx negative easily possible. Black Panther wasn't Chadwick. Chadwick was Black Panther im tired of people acting like he can only be the Black panther when it's a MANTLE meaning that different people can hold it like how in the comics it happened, stop being a casual
We can all admit we shed manly tears thinking about Chadwick. I’m sure he’d be proud of everyone who worked on this film.
The movie need more diversity! Not everyone from Africa is Blac* lmao 🤦
@@Ryanlexz sure normie
@@Ryanlexz massive bruh moment
Goosebumps, not tears!
Tears too Bru. We miss Chadwick so bad
That Wakandan intro... who else had goosebumps? Full disclosure, I'm totally hyped.
It's Fula. Baaba Mal is from Senegal.
@@thembanitheone He also did vocals for black hawk down. A legend of haunting vocals
Baaba Maal's voice gives me chills every time i hear him vocalize that particular song. Its gonna hit different when we enter Wakanda again in a few months, for sure, but i think Chadwick would not want us to mourn too much, butcelebrate his life, and more importantly, our own.
Onward friends. Forever!
The movie need more diversity! Not everyone from Africa is Blac* lmao 🤦
@@Ryanlexz boy most of the "white Africans" are from north Africa and wakanda does not play in North Africa.
@@Ryanlexz We got Moon Knight, right?
You have said this a lot. Everyone knows that. But when it suits everyone when you say Africa, you see black ppl so please deal and relax.
And if you know the story he’s telling in the song and what it means… man.
That drum sound will forever be satisfying to hear man.
Rest well Chadwick your legacy will always be remembered.
How fantastic is it that SDCC and Marvel have become this wonderful and unexpected place to experience and embrace different cultures
Wakanda is truly FOREVER.
The movie need more diversity! Not everyone from Africa is Blac* lmao 🤦
@@Ryanlexz go make your own movie
@@johnconnor4749 I just saying tho!
@@Ryanlexz This franchise isn't about Africa as a whole... it's about Wakanda. Sit down.
The spiritual energy in that song is insanely intense! That drummer wow!! This movie will bring sadness and joy all at once. Thanks Marvel Studios!!
Baaba Maal!! Such a fitting song for the moment. Got chills. Ludwig Göransson was talking about this song when it was made for Black Panther: "He [Baaba Maal] was singing about an elephant that had died, an elephant being like a synonym for a king, and “It’s time for someone to take over. But you shouldn’t do it too fast”
Watching the teaser had me in tears bro I’m sure everyone else was too but man once this movie drops alot of people are gonna cry and I don’t blame them Chadwick you will always be our king and your legacy will forever live on bring the best of us they will honor you Rest In Peace my friend Wakanda Forever ✊🏿👑💜

Now THIS is how you do Comic-Con.
As an African the performance really gave me a lot of Goosebumps 😭
Almost two years, and we still miss him.
Thank you, Chadwick Boseman, for your contributions and performance in the MCU. Rest in peace. Wakanda forever!
The descriptions "Black Panther Theme by vocalist Baaba Maal, tama drummer Massamba Diop, dancers, and drummers." should really be added so those of us who are ignorant of the details can learn something from such a beautiful performance.
RIP Chadwick.
This comment should be pinned. Had to scroll way down for their names 😥
Man I shouldn't be crying but hype for this movie 💜🖤
I'm a person of Mexican decent. To my African American brothers and sisters: I am with you in mind, body, and soul. And will be with you when we celebrate Chadwick Boseman's legacy in November.
Thank you my brother ❤️🩹
I think I speak for all of us when I say, the love is appreciated and Love back to you, my brother. I look forward to the time when we can show up and celebrate Mexican culture in the MCU, or otherwise being showcased👏🏾
@@creatingthedream247 well, so far we got Namor and the Atlantians being based on Mayans and Aztecs. Not to mention America Chavez is the first LGBTQ Latina character in the MCU. So here's hoping we also get the return of Gabriel Luna as Ghost Rider/Robbie Reyes.
As a white guy i'm excited that the atlanteans are ancient aztec ppl. It's a creative way. This movie boutta be insane
@ADAMシ that was my point. 😅
Shivers and tears.
Just shivers. Voix magnifique. Mes amis... I'm glad Marvel is NOT shying away from portraying different cultures and customs - No matter how toxic one portion of Fandom may seem. This was just beautiful.
Music always leads...
Dance always follows...
And we celebrate the life of one Chadwick Boseman.
🗣️WAKANDA FOREVER!!!!!!!
One thing I like black panther they really respect culture greatly
With or without Chadwick, an African cultural introduction is truly epic!
Please don't act like Black Panther is created purposely for Chad PLEEAAASSEEE don't
@@theanimedopeboy bro. Stop being a L
@ADAMシ what was the point of this comment...
African culture? Algeria, Libya, Egypt are middle eastern/Arabic. Bruh
I love black panther and Chadwick but please don’t group us as one culture
This film is going to be an emotional tribute to the legendary Chadwick Boseman 😢
Overrated
That is my concern, it might be that and only that and not a good (or great) movie.
@Frig Off I truly hope y'all find real happiness
This Film is a Tribute to Feminism
This intro was fire!!! Thank you Kevin Fiege and thank you Ryan Coogler!
Say what you will about the divisive Phase 4, but Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is going to be way emotional and to pay tribute to a hero gone too soon, Chadwick Boseman, I’m going to be choked up and feel the emotion and spirit of the film coming out in November. I cannot wait.
We will always miss our Black Panther.🥺
Rest in Peace Chadwick 🥺
The scene in the trailer when black panters mom said “I am queen of the most poverful nation but my entire family is gone” hit my heart
Please let me know another company that does this type of recognition of different cultures. Not only of African but of all. Marvel is a pioneer. It might not be enough for a lot of people, but they are making undeniable waves
Wakanda Forever!
Rest In Peace Chadwick Boseman… man it would’ve been perfect having him lead the team in Secret Wars 🙁
Rumor has it that they wanted T'Challa to be the "Tony Stark" of this next saga and sorta be the lynchpin that holds it all together.

Great to see Baba Beydi Maal one of the greatest singer in my country 🇸🇳🇸🇳🇸🇳 in Black Panther OST.
I was in that room, saw myself in this vid lol. It was a powerful performance. Not gonna lie I shed a tear lol. After they played the trailer and the lights came back on. The cast members were hugging each other and most were crying. The whole panel was very emotional. I even saw people around me with tears
This is not part of my culture but it brought a tear to my eye, incredible masterwork, i can't wait to see this film!
Im not going to be able to get through watching this movie without crying. Just watching this alone has me tearing up
Wakanda forever! Even though it’s sad Chadwick is gone and T’challa will no longer be with us, I’m trying to remain optimistic about Shuri becoming Black panther. Who knows, maybe we might see an alternate T’challa in Secret wars as a cameo. Either way, Wakanda Forever 💜
yes agree but not quite sure she will be able to carry the movie for now .....
I love that Chadwick studied multiple African languages and dialects, then was allowed to come up with the tongue known as Wakandan for the film. This is an amazing tribute to the fallen Panther Warrior-King
Nice idea, but it’s not what happened. They speak Xhosa because John Kani is Xhosa and Chad did a movie before Civil War where he played a South African and had a Xhosa dialect coach. It was Chad’s idea though to go with this accent and language.
Bruh they were literally speaking Xhosa in the movie 😐
The movie need more diversity! Not everyone from Africa is Blac* lmao 🤦
@@Ryanlexz Africa is a continent, and Black Panther is focused on Wakanda, a fictional country, you dummy, with a homogeneous population.
@@Ryanlexz that’s like saying ms marvel should have had Chinese influences cuz they’re Asian wakanda is in central Africa not north or parts of the east

It is just so amazing that the actual musicians/singers of the soundtrack are present in this tribute, simply magical… The moment Baaba Maal sang those first few notes of ‘Wakanda’, instant chills and goosebumps! More poignant with the meaning of the lyrics, now that Chadwick is gone 😢
May Chadwick Boseman Sir Rest In Peace. May God bless his soul.

Beautiful to listen to!
we are all one family. we let the world convince us to hate one another
@@BlackEra exactly, that’s the power of culture.
Millions of traditions spread across the world. And yet they give us such communal connection and insight into the people who practice them. Because they are raw, unadulterated human practices!
That’s why the first black panther shook the world, and Ryan Coogler is gonna do it again with this one, Mayan culture for Atlantis! Genius!

It could be nobody else but Baaba Maal and Massamba Diop. And if you know the story of the lyrics and the metaphor being told, nothing but this song.

For anyone wondering about the musical performance's credits:
Marvel Studios' 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' capped the Hall H presentation to thunderous roars and applause, beginning with a live performance by Baaba Maal (vocals), Massamba Diop (tama) and dancers and drummers.
R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman. You will forever be the Black Panther. WAKANDA FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks you Baba Maal with this song that show the culture of Senegal 🇸🇳 Pround to be Senegalese pround to be african
This felt like a stunning memorial service for the fallen Chadwick Boseman. He would have loved it. Some people seated right next to me teared up a bit when I was among this audience.
