Guys, there is a reason behind Mettaton NEO's gauge not emptying at once. The one who fights him is not Frisk/Chara but Mega Man X, and he despises needless violence, thus, his LV is not that high.

the thing about the 'atk' value in undertale is that is IS NOT how strong you are, but rather a MEASURE of how much YOU WANT TO HARM SOMEONE. As a result, in the case of Neo, dispite hime being only slightly less strong compared to undying, he dies in one hit because YOU the PLAYER want to inflict harm him, and his DEF is too low (i.e. his will to survive is low, which is why he is so easy to kill. In his case, everyone except alphys is dead, and so are his fans, so he dosen't care if he will die, Unlike Undyne, who survived because she believed that she was the only thing left saving the world. And then there is sans who has 1 atk and 1 Def (and unknown hp for all of those people that just assume that he has one hp)(unless its in the game files of corse /:) He has no will to harm you, because he dosen't care, because of himself being too lazy to care, because he knows he will still lose, and he has no will to survive, because everyone he once loved has died. Its crazy how toby fox constructed this world, huh?

Also because I hate fun, here's more reasons the oneshot joke is a dum First and foremost the only reason you oneshot The One is because your damage output is just plain st00pid and exceeds his max HP and because the lore is that he's actively not fighting you or something like that, not because the boss character is intrinsically weak in a fight X1 hadokeyblast deals 32 damage (the max HP for bosses) In Undermeme it couldn't do that since RPG and HP values are different/scale, so averaging HP values is the only practical/sensible way to go about it Undermeme average boss (minibawses don't count) HP is 7352 (88,219 / 12 bosses) Therefore hadokeyblast is only swinging for 7352 damage NEO has 30K HP X has to hadokeyblast five times to kill him dead While this is feasibly possible for a player to manage provided they don't suck and can avoid getting hit and losing hadokeyblast that isn't really what's on the table What's on the table is "ha ha ecks would totally oneshit metatoe keanu" and I have clearly demonstrated this to be false There it's settled can we go back to suplex and bad time now pls
The ikarus sounds horrible, but it extends the track nicely. Waiting for someone to make a version of the ikarus that sounds like the orihinal. Aslo Power of NEO is my favorite track as well.
What if on the day Chara kills frisk and erases the world, he isn't erasing the whole planet but just the underground. Mettaton's original ghost form is able to hide and then free himself from the underground as Chara destroys the barrier. Mettaton finds a new body in the form of a damaged maverick and is able to redesign it into a more powerful version of the Mettaton neo body, using spare parts that are also inside of the vacant maverick factory. Then after X finds the factory that he himself destroyed, and finds Mettaton, he believes it to be a maverick. They battle until Mettaton stops X as now he knows his new body is more than enough to face Chara, after this little test run. He flies through the roof while Zero and X go after him to see what his agenda is. Mettaton, X and Zero arrive at the specified coordinates that Mettaton gave X before he left the factory. X and Zero look on in confusion at a destroyed city that they had gotten a report about prior to the confrontation at the maverick factory. They look into the distance, down the long central road of the city. A place once bristling with life, now only home to corpses and ash. They see a figure in the distance. Chara. Mettaton tells them that Chara is the human who has destroyed the once beautiful town and that they all must be on guard and ready to fight. They all ready their busters and prepare to fight the true final boss. And that is my non canon story of the day undertale and megaman became one. *Mettaton: Ready for round two darling? Because I want to shine like a star all the same.*
Love this. It sounds a lot what I would expect a "full version" of Power of NEO to sound like if this were an actual fight. It would be even better if someone made this in the actual in game soundfont used.
i like to think that if mettaton neo were in megaman x he would be like zero in megaman x3, you can call him in once every stage and he cant fight bosses and he is super powerful but he can only charge shots, and he can have a quadruple jump but he overheats and is immobilized for a few secs. to balance it. Dear god this should be a mod for one of the mmx romhacks out there.
The thing I always like about your arrangements is how you manage to put your own spin on them. And a lot of the songs just sound so RIGHT in other soundfonts.

I know what you mean when you say "that shit needed to calm the fuck down" I uploaded an extension of a remix of gaster's theme to my channel around the time the game came out/was still popular, and while it is my most viewed video, the comments section was also pure cancer. I finally had to disable the comments after what could be easily called a clusterfuck.

First and foremost the only reason you oneshot The One is because your damage output is just plain st00pid and exceeds his max HP and because the lore is that he's actively not fighting you or something like that, not because the boss character is intrinsically weak in a fight
X1 hadokeyblast deals 32 damage (the max HP for bosses)
In Undermeme it couldn't do that since RPG and HP values are different/scale, so averaging HP values is the only practical/sensible way to go about it
Undermeme average boss (minibawses don't count) HP is 7352 (88,219 / 12 bosses)
Therefore hadokeyblast is only swinging for 7352 damage
NEO has 30K HP
X has to hadokeyblast five times to kill him dead
While this is feasibly possible for a player to manage provided they don't suck and can avoid getting hit and losing hadokeyblast that isn't really what's on the table
What's on the table is "ha ha ecks would totally oneshit metatoe keanu" and I have clearly demonstrated this to be false

What if on the day Chara kills frisk and erases the world, he isn't erasing the whole planet but just the underground. Mettaton's original ghost form is able to hide and then free himself from the underground as Chara destroys the barrier. Mettaton finds a new body in the form of a damaged maverick and is able to redesign it into a more powerful version of the Mettaton neo body, using spare parts that are also inside of the vacant maverick factory. Then after X finds the factory that he himself destroyed, and finds Mettaton, he believes it to be a maverick. They battle until Mettaton stops X as now he knows his new body is more than enough to face Chara, after this little test run. He flies through the roof while Zero and X go after him to see what his agenda is. Mettaton, X and Zero arrive at the specified coordinates that Mettaton gave X before he left the factory. X and Zero look on in confusion at a destroyed city that they had gotten a report about prior to the confrontation at the maverick factory. They look into the distance, down the long central road of the city. A place once bristling with life, now only home to corpses and ash. They see a figure in the distance. Chara. Mettaton tells them that Chara is the human who has destroyed the once beautiful town and that they all must be on guard and ready to fight. They all ready their busters and prepare to fight the true final boss.
And that is my non canon story of the day undertale and megaman became one.

Great track, but I'm more amazed at the sprite of Mettaton and the background, that would be an interesting fight if that were ever a real boss fight
i like to think that if mettaton neo were in megaman x he would be like zero in megaman x3, you can call him in once every stage and he cant fight bosses and he is super powerful but he can only charge shots, and he can have a quadruple jump but he overheats and is immobilized for a few secs. to balance it. Dear god this should be a mod for one of the mmx romhacks out there.
