Niceone! thats a BIG Float ! having pains with stoppers ? use 2 and a bead of some sort just above the float and ofcourse before the stops and yer set Amigo dont mind if they travel up to a 100cm doesent matter that much . try making some of balsa wood its not that hard and boyancyis Awsome . Nice Channel ! / Paul Roger Nilsson
can skip buying that 30$ pos bobber all together, and use 3/4 in PVC lol.this also would eleminate the need for spray foam.just use whatever adhesive of choice,if desired,to secure the noodle to the PVC,and the end caps.
You all probably dont care but does someone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my login password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Marley Jagger thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Ran that one you baught for years. Loved it. Can't even find that here in Utah so now I gota build one. I don't fish without slip floats. In my opinion they are the most profesional choice. Unless I'm bottom fishing. Even then if I know my depth I can still suspend bait a half inch off the bottom lol. I am likeing this idea and also muddy rivers catfish version. Theirs has an intreasting modification. It clips to a sinker slide. And I'm sure I can come up with something to act as a sinker slide. But heel yeah. This is how real fishing is done folks. If you can't find what you need, make it. Best techniques I have seen on lakes are home brew.
I used the water cleanup foam. Takes overnight to completely setup but with water clean up one can make a can go a long way plus easy to clean the little plastic nozzle which is a pain to clean. I believe the water-soluble foam is a little lighter also. A little Elmers on the ends next to the float is a good safeguard. Be sure and tape the float holes makes it a lot easier to cleanup.
I watched this vid the first time (this is the third time) and I made a couple of these floats and now I never go fishing without one thanks again mr.Catfish Dave
Did you ever try inserting the one with a light built into the top of the float, just need to leave it sticking out enough to be able to change batteries.
Hey Dave ! Another great video! You can get the solid foam rollers on Amazon in 3,4 or for really big flatties,6 inch diameters x 36 in. Usually with free shipping since they're so light. I know it's not as fun as making your own but that spray foam is pretty messy. Anyway keep slinging that bait and good luck!
Not advertising for them, not endorsing them, but if you go on hooksetterusa.com they have a noodle style slip bobber that have glow stick slots in the top so you can keep a good eye on in the dark. Look at theirs, get ideas for yours. Just a suggestion
That was good info and that set up would be perfect for my area. I lose more tackle when pulling it in due to flood debris. Your setup would be ideal for my area. I may put a glow stick on the top of it.
I'm no professional but I would say that it allows your bait to travel to ledges and cover freely with less likelyhood of snagging up. I may be wrong but it's a theory. Fish on Sir
I haven't even watched the video and it starts at your house with you showing fishing stuff and all I saw was your wifes stuff all over! Valances, chit on the doors etc. Damn I thought it was my house! ;-) Now I know why you go fishing. I thought you were single?
Hey dave does the weight help keep the bait down? I fish for cats in Arizona was just curious cause we usually just use Carolina rigs or kentucky rigs but I'd like to try this float rig looks pretty sweet good job man great videos
Catfish Dave plus if you really want to go with the in crowd you could goto the muddy river car bobber from hooksetter.com its built different though. But that one site has what I think your looking for.
I troll for striper 95% of the time an i made a float like that for straight out the back made like a planer board where when it hits it pops free an u fight the fish not the float anyway i used 1/2 inch pvc an two caps maybe u can do that with a coffie straw glued or foam in the middle for the line if those floats are expensive but i really like your videos an i like that u make some of your own stuff instead of buying it thanks for the awesome videos an good luck
Diamond Darrel would have loved this. You did your thing. This is a great bobber!

A glow stick is an excellent idea.
Hello Dave, Dave from Georgia what is the purpose of the slip float?
I'm no professional but I would say that it allows your bait to travel to ledges and cover freely with less likelyhood of snagging up.
I may be wrong but it's a theory.
