Hi Richard, it is quite amazing to watch the hard work and precision you put into your paintings. I just want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to watch a master at work. Your talent at bringing nature to life with your mix of colors is quite unique. Your part of the world is paradise.
I'm quite surprised you still aren't swamped with subscribers and viewers, as your work is stunning and your videos informative/beautifully done. As a fellow artist I find your content so inspiring and wish for as many people to benefit as possible!
I’ve missed you. Life gets so busy sometimes. It’s gardening time here. I’m trying to put a finished piece out each month. I appreciate you so much. Thanks for posting this. Thank you for creating it. You’re such a genius. I love your work so much. 🕊💕🕊🌹
Hi Richard. Just watched you paint this amazing picture start to finish. The sky is beautifully blended in the distance. And the stronger forground rocks and water reflection is brilliant. With so many blended colours. The result is a wonderful lifelike painting. A pleasure to watch you paint this one 😊.Jim from England.
Hey Ricky, where did you learn how to paint so beautifully? I thought myself. I am 73 and have been painting since I was 13. Wish I could have gone to a fine art school....It's my passion and I can see you probably feel the same. You are so blessed to be able to go plain air to such beautiful places in Australia? Your paintings tell of te beauty of such places these your paintings will be for another generation in the future, if this planet is still alive. They will be able to see the beauty of today's sceneries. That's the contribution we give to the planet. Is it not? May the Almighty keep you painting in good health. Thank you for sharing
What a wonderous coastline and no one but you to appreciate it! I love your colorful interpretation . We have nothing like it in Florida. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing work! I enjoy seeing your paintings on Instagram. I’ve been working as a pastel artist and branching out into abstract big free, loose work. You live in the Most Beautiful place Richard, best wishes.
Dear Richard, your technician, your work is done with great dedication, you put your heart and soul into what you do. Richard is a real artist. Thank you very much for the videos. Thank you here from Brazil.
Fantastic demonstration and explanation of how you go about getting the beautiful quality of the atmosphere and distance into the sky. As well as how you manage the play of warm and cool colours against and with each other. Going to have to watch this one again... A lot of information in each of your decisions as you go along! Also interesting is the usefulness of doing a small painting while out on location to really give you a reference that has the true, actual colours within it. Thank you, Richard. Gorgeous painting!
Another amazing painting Richard, I am just learning more and more every time I watch you paint. This one taught me about achieving that beautiful atmosphere right on the horizon line, thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge.
wow, this is a fabulous painting, you are one of the great pallet knife painters, and you give a great commentary, very informative for painters like myself, thank you for sharing your work, you have a lot of beautiful places in Australia.
@@richardmusgrave-evans my father bought me some pallet knives about 25 years ago, I used them today for the first time to paint, I used them on a building that i am painting, I was very impressed with the results. have you watched Christian Jequel, he is a French pallet knife painter, especially the "horses" painting. very cool.
Love your commitment to the canvas once you take that palette knife and load it with colour Richard. What character you developed in those cliffs and you can feel the breeze that plays with the water surface. Another masterpiece Richard. Cheers, Rich
I just love your style, amazing picture incredible well mixed to catch and interpretación of nature. I’ve learnt a lot from the process. Thanks for sharing Richard
You paint so fast and furious with so much energy, just wondering if you've ever cut yourself when wiping off the palette knife with the paper towel? Those babies are sharp! I love watching you paint.
Afternoon Richard from South Africa. A beautiful master piece beautifully executed. Love those colors and their interaction with one another. Thank you for your thoughts and commentary. It gives life and depth to the painting :)
Just stumbled across your site. So inevitably I subscribed. There is all ways an on going debate ' who's the best artist of all time . In my opinion it's got to be mother nature. As you capture just a small snapshot of her infinity. So I am sitting back in my easy chair. To enjoy .stay safe kind regards from a fellow 'smuger ' ✍✍

From South Africa. Oh WOW! I love this!! Your use of colour and image of movement is amazing! I would assume you are righthanded Richard and it's just the flip of the camera that makes it look otherwise?
Beautiful color, great presentation, but the orange reflection in the front does not correctly mirror the image it represents. Would like to see it smaller and not so imposing. Like what you did with the sky. Very nice.
Nahh.... OK, Technically perhaps, but remember artistic license. It wouldn't be nearly as bold & expressive a painting if he rendered instead of painting. He stated at the start that the orange patch reflecting the morning light off the headlands was the main reason for the piece, right? Plus, against all that blue, the oranges need to occupy a major piece of real estate on that canvas, or it would be all about blue water. Imagine the piece with only little patches of "correctly" rendered reflection amidst all that cool blue. Nice, if that was your aim, but which piece will draw gallery visitors over to it from across the room...? "Nice", or "KaBoom"? :-) I wish I could paint this wild and free ... Thanks for the inspiration, Richard!
@@richardmusgrave-evans interesting! thanks for showing the palette and for not speeding up the video. if you can when you draw a closer camera in a small format
Beautiful work, but if I may say it, that orange patch of reflection on the water looks far too large in proportion to the small orange cliff and slightly out of place..
