- Today I'm painting a seascape and the subject will be ocean and cliffs that recede into the distance, using atmospheric and aerial perspective!
Materials: Oil paint, stretched canvas, brushes and knives.

Wasn't expecting a new video from you today, but - hey, I was happy to put up with it and watch it. 🙃Again a marvellous scenery, made with wonderful colours, a piece of Australian paradise, because nature only cares about itself and not about what is happening around it. Hello Richard. Super beautiful seascape both on your canvas and in your video. The colors are incredible and i find that the foam of the waves which throws itself on the rocks, in the foreground, is magnificently successful. This moment spent with you is always too short, it does us so much good, especially with the current horrors that our neighbors, the Ukrenians, are suffering. Thanks a lot.

I have been a diver for many years and I can almost feel the pull of the surf and the tranquility of the bay. I think you captured the nature of the ocean so well in this painting.

Gidday mate, great to see your cheery face greeting me today. Another seascape/landscape to whet the appetite. Caught those magnificent cliffs perfectly. A perspective treat to the eye. I have become well aware of how you move your body with the brush/knife, that movement transferred to the canvas in ebbs and flows. Each action seemingly random and yet, each placed with intent and purpose. The strokes of turquoise in the bay were on point. Thanks once again Richard, be safe. Cheers, Rich

Wow just been able to get on and watch this one. Really great. Was there any special reason you used the brushes rather than just the pallet knives, as you seem to get good soft touches with the pallet knives in previous paintings, or do the bushes give a special touch? That sea in the foreground looks spectacular. Bill
G'day bill, thanks mate! I just used the brush for variety, it is a little easier to achieve softness with the brush, but the knife can do it also!!!

Beautiful scenery. I never set out to see this when I lived in S.A.
Doing this in a studio from photos rather than on site getting blown away by the wind is obviously the best way to go.
