Bill gave us a gift. The palette knife is like a magic wand. A mountain, trees, a cabin, rocky trails, and more pop out at you! Thank you Bill for giving me 47 years of painting pleasure.
There are a few spots where I speeded it up. I moved the audio to other parts so you didn’t miss anything. This particular show he wasn’t very talkative. So you hear on the video everything he said.
lol! He was doing something different and concentrating on getting done in time. Notice in the video a time or two he quickly looks to his right, at the time keeper to see how much time he had left.
PLEASE DO NOT accelerate Bill's painting strokes. They may be boring to you, but they're not to us-and his dialogue is so good. I have MY OWN controls for accelerating or slowing down youtube videos. I understand if the video was this way when you got it, but as I've watched many dozens of Bill Alexander's videos I've not seen such. This is why I blame the channel and request that it isn't done any more. Bill works FAST ENOUGH already. That was the reason he painted wet on wet. It dilutes his teachings to modify them. I don't watch these in a hurry.
Thank you for your feedback. These strokes are not boring to me by many means. Every word he said on the original video is included in this version. What we’ve done is removed times when Bill wasn’t painting or talking or there was a bad camera shot. Every case the audio was adjusted so every word was included. When these videos were recorded we didn’t have the technology to edit like we do today.
@@AAlexanderArt I saw your notes later, but stand by disdain for sped up video. Thanks for not removing ANY audio. Bill had great perspective on everything and like to share it. It's nice to _not_ be in a rush at all times on the internet--despite or because of the "reels/tictok/shorts" mentality of folks these days. It's turning us into dopamine zombies.
@@wadepatton2433 I appreciate your feed back. Normally Bill has plenty to say but not on this video. There would be a lot of quiet time this time around.
Thank you for your input. Watch the whole video. There were only a few spots that we changed the speed and that is where he was doing repetitive motions.

I tried all this years many ago when he was only on TV, but I never kept up with the art. My mistake I now see was "when mixing the colors, you don't necessarily have to mix the colors together so much so that it creates a new solid color - Alexander does it rather quickly and retains some of the original colors in the mix (3:09+).
thank you for sharing we love this guy!!!!!! thanks for firing him in he is the best other artists dont have any personality !! too many prunes maybe//

I don't understand why Bob Ross is so much more "popular. " Bill Alexander is a much better artist and has such an engaging personality. I saw him give a presentation in the 70s and he was fantastic! Besides, Ross was copying from another "test" painting he had done prior to the taping. I have a friend who teaches middle school art and he has Bob Ross posters, etc, throughout his room and he agrees Bill was the better painter.
This is great, but... why did you fast-forward through some of it?? One of the best parts of watching Mr. Alexander is what he has to say. ❤ Still, thank you! 😊
I have to say, I prefer to watch these episodes un-edited and not sped-up. Watching it this way is not the same. Also, can you put the original title in your titles? This one was "Alpine Lagoon", Season 4, Episode 1.
By speeding up and silencing the knife strokes you ruin the reason many people enjoy watching these being painted- the repetitive movements and sounds are relaxing. It's like you completely missed why Bob Ross-style painting became so popular online.
Yeah for some reason this was the worst video I’ve seen because of the speeding up and no knife sounds and the photography was not good either wasn’t clear and moving in and out and blurred
The only thing that was sped up was a few places where he was doing repetitive motion. Did you watch the entire video? Every word Bill said was on the video. Most of the video wasn’t changed. I took out the gaps and when he cleaned his brush or when the camera got a bad shot. Nothing else was changed. I would never disrespect Bill’s work.

Wonders of Bill Alexander 💪🎨👌
Bill truly is a master painter. ❤
I wish the painting kits with the brushes and paints could be brought back. And his easel, because that was wonderful.
I love his palette knife work! So thankful for UA-cam.
Thank you for watching!
What a sweet, funny and loveable character this man was. We love you bill! You were and are the Master!
Another masterpiece by the master.
Amazing. What talent!
Beautiful. Thank you, Bill.
You are welcome Carl. Thank you for watching.
Absolutely beautiful, I just love him. ❣
Thank you!
Grateful for another upload 🙏 I love when he says " isn't that beautiful!? "
What a great comment. We should all look at our work and see the beauty. Thank you for watching!
He does awesome paintings with just a pallet knife, better many others.
I really enjoyed this one. Looking forward to my own version soon.
Amazing!
Love it! Did you all speed it up? We may have missed some Bill wisdom! That's half the journey right there 😊

@@AAlexanderArt Well, as always, he did magnificent work, and you all did too. Thank you for bringing us more of this wonderful painting magician!
Bill sure enjoyed this one immensely. Thank you for sharing. I think I must do some more painting knife work.
I love this. He was so amazing a painter that he could have been able to create a masterpiece even with his bare fingers.
I love this. ❤
I need to say it. The more I watch Bill's videos the less I watch Bob Ross ones.
Absolutely love it!
Thank you so much. It was very enjoyable.
He must have been such an energetic guy
It's wonderful. I love it 🎉
You are great Artist. .
I wish to you the best
He passed in 1997....my boy was 3....i began painting in 1995.....it was a huge loss.😮

paring out dead spots is ok, but the rapid hand movements are hugely distracting and do not accurately represent Bill's technique.

Awesome, rest in peace my friend....
I'm at work and I'm going next door to Hobby Lobby and purchasing one of those magic pallet knives. Like I'm not kidding.
They sell a plastic one that works just fine.
The ORIGINAL!

@@AAlexanderArt it’s been a month 😭
its speed up
Richard only in a few places. He explains what he is doing and then the video speeds up. All of the instructions and Bill’s comments are there.
Gteat shows ...i dont do well w knife i am the straight short brushes....kinda 😊Girl.
Why does it speed up? You shouldn't have done that. It ruins it
Thank you for your input. I appreciate your comment. Bill wasn’t talking much during this time on the video so changed the speed.
Part of what I enjoy is just watching Bill work and listening to the knife on the canvass. Would love to see this at normal speed :)

Too bad Bill never learned to break the paint when making snow
Bill was the Master at getting snow to break. He didn’t always use that technique. But watch more shows to see how Bill used this technique.
Anytime you're using a putty knife, when you "fire in," wouldn't you tear the canvas?
