Faith guitars are brilliant. I have a Bloodmoon Neptune and the voice is so beautiful, the build quality is top notch and all solid wood. For the price in the store it blew everything close to it away. Deffo check them out if you are in a store.
Beautiful looking guitars. One thing Andertons has unfortunately done on many videos is taking the direct outputs from guitars. Pickups almost never sound good directl! Best to put them through an acoustic type amp and pick up the sound with a microphone in the room as that is how most people actually use them. Still even mic’d, sonically I was very unimpressed with these guitars. Perhaps they sound great in person. Pete and Ben were awesome as always and it was great to see them together! I hope to see more content with both of them in the future!
It's a rare treat to hear and see Pete just playing guitar and not bothering about all that pedal rubbish. (I do like that pedal rubbish, but it can get in the way.)
When Taylor came out with the GS Mini and people were amazed at how good it sounds, I kept thinking it had a lot to do with the barely-there finish they put on it. It's basically like raw wood, and the whole thing just sings when you play it. I'll always take an acoustic with a thin finish over one with all that heavy lacquer. They just seem to vibrate so much more freely.
Great to see a Faith video again, it's been ages. Trembesi wins again for me. Satin finish, oh no, at least they're not reliced (yet) I suppose. Can we have a demo of some nice glossy mango wood please?
I dont play acoustic or want a acoustic. But whenever i see Ben, i have to click. Always blows be away, extra tasty combined with Pete. You two should seriously pit aome tracka together.
The pick guard/scratch plate is important on a satin finish. I don't really like satin finish guitars without this, as they tend to mark very easily from strumming. I played a Faith Naked last week in music store, it sounded great, but again no pick guard on a satin finish. I personally prefer gloss on an acoustic guitar, of course it is all subjective.
I think high gloss makes guitars look plastic and cheap. A matte finish looks nice on a guitar with metallic paint. Sometimes a satin finish makes nice wood look flat and dull. Semi-gloss is still too glossy for me. A "semi-satin" would be my preference.
Actually it's "no fret inlays anymore". I have an early 2000's Venus with Diamond Fretboard Inlays and a wooden rosette. Must be from one of the very first series. An awesome instrument. The moment I got it I totally lost interest in other acoustic guitars.
@@glenh2752I'm a little conflicted about fretboard inlays. On one hand I love the clean look of a fretboard without inlays or just one nice inlay at the 12th fret but on the other hand orientation on a neck with inlays is a lot easier. But I'd prefer something else than just plain white dots. Something that looks a little nicer. So I'm quite happy with the pearloid diamond inlays on my "vintage" Faith Venus.
One of the best opening jams ever.... EVER!
Agree
Completely agree. I’d buy an album of that.
And closing too 👍🏻
I've been away for more than a year, came back to the best jam I ever heard.
Just love it when Ben and Pete play acoustics together, they definitely have a musical affinity.
Faith guitars are amazing. The best (in my view). Not sure what it is but they just sound so good and the quality is superb.
gentleman ben is such a treasure!! please pay him well he so deserves!
Love the intro jam 👏, fantastic playing Gents!

Way to play Ben & Pete...
One of the best acoustic jams I've heard Y'all play!
Those Faith acoustics sound fantastic...so well balanced.
My go to acoustic brand for ten years now, amazing guitars and reasonable prices
Fabulous intro guys !
The joy of playing a great instrument.
Those guitars sound lovely! You guys play so beautifully too.

Fantastic, the smiles say it all.

More outstanding stuff. Hope you have a great time at the Cam Folk Fest, too (I can usually hear it from my flat when I'm not there!)
Just beautiful opening jam guys! Get a concert with both of you organised!
Faith guitars are fantastic, I've got a naked finish Saturn and it sounds beautiful.
These jams slapped!

I had a Faith before. Still miss it. One of the most feature packed, easy playing guitars ever. I’m still drawn to them.
Lovely jam, am I wrong for giggling when Ben said Pete has a small 15 inch Venus? 😀😀😀
I’ve got a Venus. Use 11s and you get a lovely sound. I’m left handed. I like that they do lovely guitars for me and it doesn’t break the bank
I'd say I'm jealous, but I don't want any accusations of Venus envy.

Who else is getting Merry Christmas and Happy New Year vibes from this intro? 👍🏻👍🏻
Love Faith guitars👍👍
Great sound with mic - but I'm underwhelmed by the Fishman Preamp. Reminds me of this synthetic 80s Ovation sound.
Lovely tonal qualities....and off course playing !
My local gold club has a real problem with the latter.
Acoustic jam is my absolute favourite kind of jam. Even better than strawberry!
While I'm not a fan of acoustic guitar - These sound awesome - I might just get one

I wonder if ebony binding is a possibility.
Secret Code to Andertons demos: If the instrument is truly a good one, the opening jam will be epic. The better the Jam the better the instrument.
Cool jam and guitars sound good. However, are the pickups "Game Changing?"?
Man that Outro.
National treasures, God bless the USA!
Please review new expensive Yamaha acoustics... Nice playing
Great intro…. Fleetwood Mac channels Dead Flowers!
Piezo pickups are a crime.

Still no fret inlays. I find this really annoying!!

@@stephanguntzel504 I guess my Blood Moon is about 5 years old. It’s a great guitar but I’m not sure when they stopped doing the inlays.

Why don't they do Harley Benton reviews??
It's thomann's brand, Anderton's has their own brand.
Another video ruined with Pete going on and on about liking and subscribing! You don’t need to say every bloody video
Red? Yellow? Orange? The sun is actually Green, believe it or not...
do those fretts go all the way u? 🤣🤣
Danish Pete tell you buddy there's a thing called picking too hard
Does Pete not have any sick leave left? Go home to bed, Pete!
