LOVE YOU F WORD LOVERS!!!! ...... Jess
This was SO helpful! Thank you for this Jess 👍🏼
Yay happy to help!! 🏕🙌
Last weekend was my first festival. There's no such thing as being "over prepared" but it will 100% suck if you don't come prepared.
Don't underestimate comfort. Last festival I went to I brought a ton of gear with me to be comfortable and I got a lot of side eyes originally. We got the best sleep at camp and by the end of the festival people were praising our set up. Good sleep is so important!!!
ABSOLUTELY!! Set it up takes forever, but it's SO worth it!!!
@@LIVINGBYTHEFWORD 10/10 worth it lol
Can you elaborate what you brought as I'm going to my first one
@@masflaitek8 I brought a canopy. Mini stove so I could make coffee and hot food. Aka feel like a real person. I also have an air mattress cot so I have more space for storage underneath and stay warmer.
@@Neonravekid thanks, I'm flying in so can't bring a lot of that stuff
Today everything is 5V power, and i mean everything, even laptops, and i bring my laptop sometime to festival, just get a 5V small solar panel, which you can use for hocking too, and use it to charge a powerbank, gety to heavy duty power banks and one charger during the day one you use that day and cycle them. power problem solved. vor cooling i learned something really good and cheap, get 2 insulated frigo bags, like the ones you buy at grocery stores, put 1 inside the other, and put 2 2 liter bottles of water frozen in them, and then add in what you need. after 3 days it was still warm, and you can drink that water too. the only problem is with drinking water, but i never go somewhere that isn't far away from a water source. so i just go and refill there.
Thank you for your tips 🙌
Highly recommend a queen size cot rather than the large air mattress. When you put the air mattress on the ground (even with a pad underneath), they tend to deflate or get punctured. Especially after a night of parting. The cot keeps you elevated, plus you can store stuff underneath of it.
Definitely have seen all my friends that drive with cots! Wish I could fly with a cot! My air mattress has lasted for years now though so I'm still happy with it 😁
Def some great tips and ideas in this! Thanks, Jess!
Very helpful! I’m camping solo in a few weeks. Thank you so much for doing this
Always dishing out the 411 🥰
Maaaan, I feel you are so underrated. So much information in your videos. Thanks a ton.
awww thanks! just commenting helps a alot! Feel free to share with your friends. Thanks for watching :)
Ugh this video makes me wish i had more money to attend mire campinf festivals 😢❤ ive done two! 😊 very informative btw thank you!!
I think this is my new favorite channel, amazing
Aw thanks so much! So happy you're here! 😄💖
This was a fantastic video! Very informative!
Thanks I appreciate it!!
Great video!!! I've been to a few camping festivals and I still found this very helpful 💕 you're awesome!
Thanks for watching Jess, happy to help!
amazing video! me and my boyfriend are going to imagine this september and this and your checklist is so helpfull
So happy to help!! Have an amazing time!!
Something I noticed people who don't have car camping will make multiple trips to and from their vehicles. It is smart to get a folding dolly if you have a bunch of stuff for your camp. If you get the one's with the beastie tires, then you can make fewer trips with ease...
Yes exactly! You need a wagon to bring stuff in, or really need to limit what you bring especially internationally I've gone bare minimum!
@@LIVINGBYTHEFWORD my last Festival I drove 28 hours in a packed Element, I am kinda a priss about my camp having everything I need. Porta potties are icky lol. I wish I could go minimal like you! But I do have to say I watched your videos to prep me for my first, and I will watch every single one you make for refreshers. Thank you for all you do for the festival community!
@@mrsjokerstout I only go minimal if it's walk in and usually in another country. Otherwise I'm a maximalist at festivals and real life 😂😂😂 thanks so much for watching! Happy to help!!
@@mrsjokerstout if you don't like the porta potties you can get a travel john for at camp 😬😂 just mentioned that in my video "10 under rated items for camping music festivals!"
so helpful!
happy to help 😀 thanks for watching!
Excellent topic! I am gearing up for camping/festivals :)
Awesome! Hope this helps! Which ones are you planning on?
@@LIVINGBYTHEFWORD at the moment, just a couple local (small) ones in my state - hopefully :) Might just be friend weekends at local state/national parks - waiting to see what actually happens with COVID
For those who are traveling and do not want to rent pre set-up tents which can be pricey there are several sites that have packages or you can rent things a la carte and pick up at a local retailer or shipped to a UPS store, they include REI Co-op, Arrive Outdoors, Outodoors Geek, and Kit Lender.
Dope tip! Thank you for taking the time to comment!!
What about a blackout tent? Good idea or not needed.
I have no idea how well those tents work honestly! I'd read reviews and figure out if it's worth the investment. But another alternative is to put an ez up canopy over your camping tent and hang large tapestries or tarps to make your tent shaded. It probably could cool it down at least 10 degrees.
Were you ever in Slovenia? 🇸🇮
No I haven't been there!
@@LIVINGBYTHEFWORD you're welcomed
Thick Sleeping pads > air mattresses.
I like being elevated though! Do you feel like you're sleeping on the ground?
A six person tent for one person is too big for most festivals and only means that other campers have less space
Sorry for being a Negative Nathan but that was incredibly triggering for me
Depends on the festival. In the US it's quite common and fits the perimeter but in Europe or South America it can be easier to bring just a two person. I have two tents but I'm going to stand up and get ready in comfort now that I'm 37. It's perfectly acceptable. I'm sorry I triggered you 😞
