45627 AKA Galatea Tackles The Peak District - The Buxton Spa Express !

- Steam to Buxton is rare these days so anything winding its way up the heavily graded lines is worth seeing regardless of the operational top & tail mode with the diesel. The Buxton Spa Express would also tackle the steep quarry line to Hindlow, unfortunately this ran 30 minutes early and we was only just able to capture the one angle. Hopefully more operators can take the risk and head to Buxton as it has so much to offer for passengers and enthusiasts. The diesel on the rear was helping on on the steep gradient to Bibbington which was expected, but there was still plenty of effort from the front.
I hope you enjoy the video.
Lovely to see steam around lovely Buxton. As you say, let's hope for more tours this way in the near future. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent footage there Liam and Phil. Galatea sounds superb and in the Sun as well
Great shots. I am still on this train.
Just left Denton after water stop.
Thanks for sharing.
Brilliantly video Liam and Phil. Nice action shots. Great selection of locations.c . Enjoyable watching. Kind regards C&A
Great shots! 45699 is certainly working hard!
Magnificent boys
Nearly every shot in your videos would make an amazing puzzle
Looks such old track at the start!! Superb film! Paul
Quality as ever Liam , good to see the Jubilee in action on a lovely day. Not like you to film a steam tour with a diesel on mind 😂👍
Great video guys, shame about the 47 pushing. Was hoping to see more round Hindlow area, but well done.
Nice video liam and Phil very good camera work as usual bye for now Philip
Lighting at2:10is interesting with the foreground in sun, the hillside behind in shadow, and the hillside in the distance in sun
I hope Galatea recovers from her Identity Crisis soon
Super video :)
Beauty on Wheels❤❤❤❤❤
I was opposite to you at dove holes
170 like very nice video 🙋🏻♀️👍💯✅ 4:10
When is Galatea going to get her true identity back? I'm sick and tired of seeing those scrapped sister engine number and nameplates attached to her.
Only problem I have is that they changed its identity a second time, but didn't change the cabside numbers to match. Other identities is fine, just pick one and stick to it.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this. It made up for the view I missed because I was standing on the Manchester-bound platform at Chapel, where a local train arrived and stopped just before Galatea came through!
Smashing video, looked so good coming over the bridge and what great whistle too, so deep. Thanks 😊
Nice videos
