@@RamblersInc I believe it starts as Becca's memory in the bedroom, but transitions to Peter's as Hannah leaves the room. Although "memory" might be the wrong word, it seems more like a dream and may not reflect 100% accurately what happened at that moment. I read from wrist to elbow but the recording flips the letters making it difficult to tell. These letters in popular culture are usually used in one of a few ways: either with English words and Latin sounds (ehwaz as e instead of the sound /e(ː)/ for example and double letters), as english but using Elder Futhark sounds and rules (no double letters, letters chosen phonological rather than English spelling larger use of thurisaz and ingwaz), the letters are using their more recent divination symbological meanings, or they are words in old norse or proto-indo-european (if in younger or elder respectively). I couldn't see an English word or a word in proto-norse so my assumption is the tattoo is a name or other proper noun and if so, none of my business so I didnt want to pry (couldn't help but read it though as I have studied and memorized thes letters for decades).
Ooooh the ink. I got confused for a second and thought you were talking about the episode 😂 Yeh, I tried to have them as separate Elder Futhark runic symbols for their individual meanings as opposed to one word (i.e. Uruz for Strength etc). Probably would've been easier to get a bracelet instead😂
U were doing so well understanding the episode as u explained it in your commentary, but u just confused yourselves at the end.😟 Hannah doesn't realize she's dead, so she still has a corporeal form. That's how she's able to interact w/everyone, hold objects & touch people. Sometimes, a person's death is so sudden/traumatic that they don't realize they're dead. If u noticed, Peter was able to do the same thing when he walks up to the kids saying "I thought I told u to go back to bed." & when he 1st held the "Lady of the Lake" doll/figure until he realized he was dead & the doll fell thru his hand. The cracks in the well were the last thing she saw before she died. The longer she goes without realizing she's dead the more she sees the cracks else where. It's like her subconscious is trying to tell her she's no longer alive by showing her the cracks. The 4th candle that u gentlemen kept getting confused about was actually the 1st candle she began lighting. Mrs. Wingrave started Hannah lighting a candle for her cheating husband that left her. Mrs. Wingrave stated "That's for Sam. He may not be dead, but nobody's perfect." Hannah protested, but ended up carrying on lighting the candle. Basically, he was dead to Hannah or perhaps for the death of her marriage. If we go w/your theory that she was lighting the candle for herself, it would be another subconscious act because she doesn't realize she's dead. I think Hannah is special. I mean, not just because she still seems very much alive even though she isn't, but she can occasionally hop into the memories of the other spirits that she knew in life. Rebecca's favorite memory of Peter. Peter's memory of his death. Although she can hop into others memories, it doesn't mean she'll remember them because they aren't her own. Whilst among the living she doesn't know Peter is dead. I honestly think she repressed that entire scene by the well leading up to her death. Poor Hannah did deserve better. U know, if u go back to episode 3 when Owen spends the night, @ least I think it's episode 3, Miles says something odd. When they are taking the kids upstairs to bed, a groggy Miles tells Hannah something like "Mrs. Grose, I had a dream that I hurt u." Hannah said something & then put her arm around Miles. Yes, ghosts can be seen when they want to be seen, but also sometimes when they don't realize they are seen. I have 2 examples of my own experiences w/ghosts that happened in 1 night, years ago. Me & a friend of mine met up w/a friend of his at a coffee house/cafe that we would frequent. It was about. 9:00 pm so instead of staying at the cafe the 3 of us walked over to the Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside, California. They have a very nice bar called the Presidential Lounge. Before u ask, yes, former presidents of the United States of America did stay there. Anyway, we sat @ the bar & all 3 of us ordered a drink. Before u say "No wonder u were seeing things, u were probably drunk." Not the case, I had 1 Midori Sour which has less alcohol than a 12oz (355ml) can of beer. Plus, I was the one driving that night so after the initial drink, I stuck to Coca Cola & water. My friend & his friend had about 3 alcoholic drinks a piece. The 2 guys were chatting away occasionally pulling me into their conversation, but I still felt like a 3rd wheel. Before we knew it, the bartender rang a bell for "Last call." We got up & began to head out. It was almost 1 am. My friend gets the bright idea to go exploring the hotel. I protested saying it was late & people were sleeping. My friend said "We could do it quietly. Besides, there's something I want to show Frank on the 4th floor." We were in the hotel lobby, & there was no one at the reception desk. My friend spotted an open door & urged us to go thru it before someone did show up. We walked down several steps to a basement level area. The corridor we entered was nice & carpeted. I noticed 2 chinese vases on the shelf built into the wall directly in front of us. To our left was an arched wooden door that u had to pull to open. Several feet to our right was a brick lined archway w/a red velvet rope draped across it. Curious, I walked over to the red velvet rope looking to the left because to the right was a wall. I could see another archway & beyond that a room/another corridor w/a light on. I didn't see/hear anyone down there. My friend had opened the wooden door that was to our left to see what was on the other side. It was a longer corridor that bent off to the right. My friend had also spotted restrooms a few feet away from the door. He announced that he had to pee, & Frank stated that he also had to go. I didn't because I had gone to the restroom before we left the bar. I told them that I would wait for them in that corridor because I wanted a better look at those vases. So, off they went w/the door shutting behind them. I looked at 1 vase & then the other thinking "These are pretty." The next thing I know, the room got really cold, the hair on the nape of my neck stood up, I felt like I did a sudden drop on a rollercoaster & my heart was pounding in my ears. I turned to my left doing a 180 & feeling like I was moving in slow motion. A couple of feet (half a meter) away from the red velvet rope & about 12 ft (4 meters) from me was a shadow figure. I stared at him & felt him staring @ me. I say "him" because it felt like a him, plus he had a manly shape & was about as tall as me. At the time, I was 5' 10.5". As we stared at each other, it felt like minutes were passing even though it was most likely just a few seconds. He shook his head at me, as if saying "No!", & then he turned to his left walking thru the wall. Suddenly, everything returned to normal. I wanted out of that room. I went to the wooden door, flung it open & stepped into the other corridor. As the door closed behind me, the guys were coming out of the men's restroom. I spoke up immediately. "I want to go now!" My friend looked at me w/both surprise & concern. Usually, I'm a mellow person, but right then, I was frantic. "What?! Why?!" "Just trust me, we need to go!" "But, I wanted to show Frank this statue on the 4th floor," stated my friend. Next, Frank said to me. "Don't worry, it's in the other room." Turning to Frank, I stared at him for a couple of seconds. I returned my attention to my friend, who was peering back & forth between me & Frank. "Ok, what's going on here? What are u 2 talking about?" I replied. "I saw something in the other room! It doesn't want us here! I want to go!" My friend placed his hands on my arms telling me to calm down. Frank just stood there watching the 2 of us w/a bemused expression on his face. I sighed & said. "Can we please, go?" My friend thought about it for a second, & then said. "Just let me show Frank what I want to show him, & then we'll leave." I groaned in frustration. (This was the example of an entity purposely revealing itself.) So, the 3 of us walked down the corridor & around the bend to a service elevator. I call it a service elevator because it had a gate u open & close instead of a door. On the way up to the 4th floor, my friend complained that he felt weird in the elevator, like he was hit by a wave of anxiety. He said that he never before felt anything like that. He had no problem w/elevators. We reached the 4th floor. My friend asked if I wanted to walk w/them to the statue. I declined wanting to stay near the elevator. He told me "Suit yourself!". I watched as they walked away, going around a corner of the building. I waited & waited for them to return. Growing bored, I walked over to the nearby bannister. I peered down into the courtyard thinking it looked so empty, during the day it usually had outdoor seating for the hotel's restaurant. I heard voices down in the courtyard, but couldn't hear what was said. I couldn't see anyone either because whoever it was was on the other side of the building. I was afraid it might be hotel security so I stood up taking a step back from the bannister. Looking directly at the terrace across from me, I noticed someone that wasn't there earlier when I 1st went over to the railing. A young man w/light brown or sandy colored hair slicked back, wearing a skinny tie, dress jacket, button down shirt & slacks, was leaning against the railing on his forearms. Although his body was facing me, he seemed to be peering out into the courtyard in the direction of the voices from moments earlier. As I looked at him, I thought there was something odd about his appearance. When I scrutinized him a bit further, I realized what it was. He wasn't completely solid. He looked kind of staticky. He seemed to notice me watching him because he turned to look at me. His face was expressionless as he stared at me. Suddenly, he stood straight up & took 3 steps backward disappearing from sight, all the while never breaking eye contact w/me. My brain was trying to figure out how he just vanished into thin air. My eyes scanned the terrace across the way searching the shadows for any kind of movement, but there was nothing. I turned away because I could hear the guys' voices as they returned. Thank goodness, we left right away. (In my opinion, that young man on the terrace is an example of a ghost that unwittingly revealed himself.) Back to Bly Manor & Hannah. I think of Hannah's episode as a commentary on what it's like for a person w/dementia. I have seen a few other reactors come up w/the same theory. Constantly needing to be reminded about things jumping from memory to memory. My stepgrandfather had Alzheimer's. I couldn't be around him towards the end because for some reason he became hostile towards me. He had to be put in a care facility. Ok, enough said. I enjoyed your reactions to this episode. U weren't as mixed up as u thought u were.😊
That's what happens when you ramble on for too long about time jumps and loops 😂 Ahh ok so the 4th candle IS Sam. I really felt that wail when she first found out. And now she can't even have Paris 😔 Also poor Miles, having to be possessed at random times. I had chills just reading that. You're braver than me because I would've made an excuse and walked back to my room when they came back from the restroom. I wonder if those two saw anything when they went to see the statue but just didn't say anything. That's a good comparison to make between dementia and what Hannah went through. An uphill battle that just gets steeper as time goes on.
@@RamblersInc I wasn't staying at the hotel, just having a drink there. When we finally left the hotel, I had to drop off my friend at his place, & then drive home from there. It was about a 15 min drive from the hotel to where he was living, & then a 35 min drive to my house from his place. He didn't have a car at the time. While I was driving him home, we talked about what I saw. He said. "U really did see 2 ghosts tonight, didn't u?" I glanced at him, & then returned my eyes to the road. I sighed & said. "Yeah, I did. U know me, do u think I'd lie about something like that?" He grunted & replied. "No. U were genuinely upset. I have never seen u that way. Plus, the thing w/u & Frank when we came out of the men's room, that was weird." "I think your buddy Frank is sensitive like me." "Yeah, I believe it. He's a spiritual kind of guy," said my friend. "U know, u kind of scare me sometimes w/the whole seeing ghosts thing." "It scares me too sometimes." That shadow person incident was the 2nd most affected by a spirit/entity that I have ever been. So, yeah, it frightened me. I think, because of my multiple experiences w/the supernatural, that now I'm less afraid & more curious.😊
Oh yes. You did start off saying it was just drinks. I had to google midori sour. That looks….radioactive 😂 You must have thought about it non stop after you dropped both of them off. More so the shadowy figure saying “no” than the man leaning against the railing.
@@RamblersInc 😂🤣😂 Guess it would have been a good drink for when I was watching the series FALLOUT. 😄 It's actually sweet w/a hint of sour. Midori is a melon liqueur. I have tried many types of alcoholic drinks during my clubbing days, & a couple of new ones more recently. Almost 4 years ago, I was at the Mob Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada when I tried Moonshine mixed w/a berry puree & a sprig of rosemary.(I liked that one so much I ordered a 2nd, but learned to remove the rosemary straight away. It over powers the drink otherwise.) & a Rye w/Rock Candy (crystallized sugar on a stick) as a stirrer. I sipped the Rye, but would stir the Rock Candy for a few seconds before each sip. Little by little it got sweeter. The drinks were fashioned after the drinks they'd serve at a Speakeasy during Prohibition. The friend I was w/asked me if she could try the Rye & Rock Candy one. I warned her it was strong because I knew she was a lightweight. She took a sip anyway, & cried, "O God, how can u drink that?"😄 I smiled & said. "I told u it was strong." "Yeah, u weren't kidding! Nobody better light a match around u!" My response 😂🤣😂 Many years ago, I was at a club when I tried Mexican Firewater (It reminded me of vodka.) in a Cherry Slushy/Icee. A young woman, I had just met that same evening, managed to bring it inside the club, & offered me a sip.😊 My favorite drink, when I went to the clubs, was a Flaming Dr.Pepper. There is no actual Dr.Pepper in it. U fill a pint glass halfway w/beer. In a shot glass, pour 30ml of amaretto & float on top 7.4ml of 151-proof rum. Set it aflame, & then drop the shot into the beer. This drink needs to be chugged at least halfway/all the way because it'll start to foam. I think it's because of the reaction to the flame which is extinguished by the beer. It really does taste like Dr.Pepper which is my favorite soda. Unfortunately, the clubs stopped setting the shot on fire because it's a fire hazard & safety concern. Because that 151 doesn't get burned away, the drink doesn't quite taste the same anymore.😩 Look at me shifting the conversation from ghosts to alcohol.🙄
Ok, 1 thing I kind of forgot to respond to was the constantly thinking about what I saw. Actually, I didn't. But, it did get my guy friend to inquire whether/not the hotel was haunted. We went there for drinks once in a while. At least often enough, to be friendly w/a female bartender that worked there. She said "Hell yeah, this place is haunted!" She added, " U guys do know that there are catacombs underneath this place, right?" At the time, we didn't. Found out later that there are about 2 miles of catacomb tunnels under the downtown area in the city of Riverside. I told her about the young man I saw on the 4th floor terrace. She told me that 1 New Year's Eve a young man possibly intoxicated fell to his death from the rotunda. She said supposedly that 1 of his friends snuck up behind him to scare him causing him to jump back. He fell over the railing to the ground below. I've tried to find anything on possible deaths at the hotel, but have come up empty handed.

I wanted to be vague, as if it was personal i did not want to call attention to it to other commenters who may not be as fluent in those letters.
Ooooh the ink. I got confused for a second and thought you were talking about the episode 😂
Yeh, I tried to have them as separate Elder Futhark runic symbols for their individual meanings as opposed to one word (i.e. Uruz for Strength etc). Probably would've been easier to get a bracelet instead😂
U were doing so well understanding the episode as u explained it in your commentary, but u just confused yourselves at the end.😟
Hannah doesn't realize she's dead, so she still has a corporeal form.
I looked at 1 vase & then the other thinking "These are pretty."
The next thing I know, the room got really cold, the hair on the nape of my neck stood up, I felt like I did a sudden drop on a rollercoaster & my heart was pounding in my ears. At the time, I was
"I want to go now!"
My friend looked at me w/both surprise & concern. Usually, I'm a mellow person, but right then, I was frantic. "What?! Why?!"
"Just trust me, we need to go!"
"But, I wanted to show Frank this statue on the 4th floor," stated my friend.
Next, Frank said to me. "Don't worry, it's in the other room."
Turning to Frank, I stared at him for a couple of seconds. I returned my attention to my friend, who was peering back & forth between me & Frank.
"Ok, what's going on here? What are u 2 talking about?"
I replied. "I saw something in the other room! It doesn't want us here! I want to go!"
My friend placed his hands on my arms telling me to calm down. Frank just stood there watching the 2 of us w/a bemused expression on his face.
I sighed & said. "Can we please, go?"
My friend thought about it for a second, & then said. "Just let me show Frank what I want to show him, & then we'll leave."
I groaned in frustration. (This was the example of an entity purposely revealing itself.)
So, the 3 of us walked down the corridor & around the bend to a service elevator.
(In my opinion, that young man on the terrace is an example of a ghost that unwittingly revealed himself.)
Back to Bly Manor & Hannah.
U weren't as mixed up as u thought u were.😊
That's what happens when you ramble on for too long about time jumps and loops 😂
Ahh ok so the 4th candle IS Sam. I really felt that wail when she first found out. And now she can't even have Paris 😔
Also poor Miles, having to be possessed at random times.
He said. "U really did see 2 ghosts tonight, didn't u?"
I glanced at him, & then returned my eyes to the road. I sighed & said. "Yeah, I did. U know me, do u think I'd lie about something like that?"
He grunted & replied. "No. U were genuinely upset. I have never seen u that way. Plus, the thing w/u & Frank when we came out of the men's room, that was weird."
"I think your buddy Frank is sensitive like me."
"Yeah, I believe it. He's a spiritual kind of guy," said my friend. "U know, u kind of scare me sometimes w/the whole seeing ghosts thing."
"It scares me too sometimes."
That shadow person incident was the 2nd most affected by a spirit/entity that I have ever been. So, yeah, it frightened me. I think, because of my multiple experiences w/the supernatural, that now I'm less afraid & more curious.😊
Oh yes. You did start off saying it was just drinks. I had to google midori sour. That looks….radioactive 😂
You must have thought about it non stop after you dropped both of them off.
She took a sip anyway, & cried, "O God, how can u drink that?"😄
I smiled & said. "I told u it was strong."
"Yeah, u weren't kidding! Nobody better light a match around u!"
My response 😂🤣😂
Many years ago, I was at a club when I tried Mexican Firewater (It reminded me of vodka.) in a Cherry Slushy/Icee. A young woman, I had just met that same evening, managed to bring it inside the club, & offered me a sip.😊
My favorite drink, when I went to the clubs, was a Flaming Dr.Pepper. Because that 151 doesn't get burned away, the drink doesn't quite taste the same anymore.😩
Look at me shifting the conversation from ghosts to alcohol.🙄
Ok, 1 thing I kind of forgot to respond to was the constantly thinking about what I saw. Actually, I didn't. But, it did get my guy friend to inquire whether/not the hotel was haunted. We went there for drinks once in a while. At least often enough, to be friendly w/a female bartender that worked there. She said "Hell yeah, this place is haunted!" She added, " U guys do know that there are catacombs underneath this place, right?"
At the time, we didn't.
