    The day I discovered COS, all my other hunting clothes went into bins never to be worn again. Best gear for the dollar I’ve ever encountered. I highly recommend to anyone I know who’s shopping for new hunting clothing. Ev is salt of the earth too. He walks the walk, and talks the talk when it comes to hunting and gear. They’ve got a life long customer whether they want me or not!

    I'm glad you did this video Bill, that is some of the most comfortable and warm looking cold weather gear that I have ever seen, love the fleece. I've used a lot of different brands over the last 10 years but my favorite jacket is still a 20 year old Cabelas fleece jacket with their wind stopper in it and the Code Of Silence looks very similar but improved!!

      Did Bass Pro ruin Cabela's, or did the greed of the Cabela's owners prior to selling out ruin Cabela's? Bass Pro did what Bass Pro is gonna do, maximize profit. It was a choice Cabela's made to abandon their decades long business model and sell out to the corporate monster model.

    Let me tell you what all we have got from code of silence this season. Well actually the last month.
    My wife and I both hunt so she got me the cold fall bibs and jacket. I got her the parka and pants in the zone 7. Then I ordered one of each of the back packs. And 2 of those hats. I love this gear. The hats make you look like Elmer Fudd but I love a hat with the short bill for bow hunting. That hat is the best thing ever. We would have gotten Candi the cold fall but the bibs didn’t come in a small. But no complaints on the Code of silence gear. Thanks Bill for advertising things that really work. I will checkout Archery Country for sure. That double pack is going to be big. Lots of guys going way back. I regularly ride a bike & cart setup for 2 miles & then walk about another 500 yards to sit. U have a much larger demographic for customers that do this than the guys that have a dream set-up. We have a much lower margin for error so anytime u can add something, even if it's just ounces, it's a big thing. I also like the hand muff thing since I climb with a rope & heavy, bulky gloves don't work for that so I'm looking forward to that. Functional, practical & efficient is all that I ask for so I'm looking to cover those bases 1st & foremost.

    • @bill-winke
      @bill-winke  Рік тому

      I think you will like this stuff Joseph. You may like the bigger pack as it has a light internal frame to give it even more support along with a waist belt for carrying heavier loads on your hips as well as your back. Good luck.

      @josephtreadlightly5686 Рік тому

      My only regret is my larger pack that isn't as functional as my smaller pack. But with the COS I could put my Wild Edge platform in that extra pouch & put other gear in the pack. My climbing line is in a bundle & I keep that outside the pack. Just one buckle strap holds it in place while the carabiner for my rope goes through a loop on the top of the pack. Very light but as I get older a smaller pack just won't hold the cold weather gear I need to perform @ a high level. 😮😮😮

I saw him at the classic this year and this line of clothing is great. To bad we can't get someone to design a ladder stand like they use too. Now a days they are design for shipping instead of hunting. Too many parts, screws, so you end up with something that you're afraid to move on it. Because it's going to make noise.

This is really good for on-trail super stealth entry and exit to stands and blinds and for checking trail cameras, etc. But you aren't going to haul a deer out with this. I contacted Ev about that so he is aware of it. That site opens on my desktop PC but won't open on my phone. Scheels also carries it.

    As someone from the south, it’s hilarious to me that the mid-weight stuff would be suitable for single digits. 😂 I would need one layer from each line to keep warm in those temperatures.

    • @bill-winke
      @bill-winke  Рік тому +1

      I laughed at that too. Ev must run at a higher body temperature than me. I would say 20s for a stand sit. But that is still pretty good for a mid-weight garment. Good luck.

    I bought some of their products and was really excited to try them. I got them and every item was shockingly small. I couldn’t even get my legs in the pants. I ordered everything in 2X which is what I wear in every other brand. Based on how these I’d need 4X. I don’t see they offer that size.
    Disappointed.

    • @bill-winke
      @bill-winke  Рік тому +1

      That is disappointing, Paul. Did you get ahold of them? Not that they can solve that short-term, but I am sure they would want to know so they can fix any sizing issues in those larger garments long-term.

      @@bill-winke hi Bill, thanks for checking in with me.
      Yes, I gave them details in an email and some more details on the return form. I honestly think some of the garments were mislabeled as 2X when they weren’t. I can’t believe that their sizes would run that much smaller than every other manufacturer. One of the pants I held up to myself and thought , maybe these would’ve fit me when I was 15. Haha
      Truthfully, I’m not really in the market for new camo, but because of the sale, I wanted to try some things. I was really excited to be getting them and looking forward to using them. Maybe down the road someday.
      I’m glad you were able to interview your friend and have him explain all the different uses for the different lines.
      Have a good off-season, and I look forward to seeing more of your videos in the new year.

    how is sizing compared to sitka fanatic line?

    • @bill-winke
      @bill-winke  10 місяців тому

      I don't know. I have not tried the Sitka clothing. I think the sizing is pretty true. I do think the bibs are a bit large, but not by much. I think everything else is pretty close to other outerwear I have worn over the years. Good luck.

It’s been a little weird this year and with it being as warm as it’s been they have been pretty spread out still and they also seem extra wild after rifle season lol. Nonetheless super cool you came in and hunted!

    Man bill, i love my realtree..... it will take some convincing to get me to switch! Most people think it's funny when I tell them why I like Realtree. I have met in person both Bill and Toxey.... bill is a awful nice guy and willing to to talk to anyone with enthusiasm while toxey wouldnt take his nose off the tv long enough to even give eye contact! Thats why i like realtree! You can kill a deer wearing blue jeans and a red flannel, camo doesn't even matter! That Code of Silence Is some nice looking stuff though👍🏻
