I’m very interested in these products but I’m so torn with this or the nomad cotton wood , I like pants better than bush wonder what the pants are like ? Have you tried nomads Berber cottonwood?
We haven't tried Nomad's berber cottonwood. What I can say we would advise is not to think that anything 100% berber is going to do anything but collect burs like crazy. Some burs are going to catch no matter what the material, but it will be a disaster in berber. The Code of Silence Zone7 Dialed In bibs switch to a fleece wool at the bottom, helping some with this issue. They also have the Verdigre series, which I have worn down to 30°, which are all a fleece wool. I hope this helps some! You can see a more detailed review of the Dialed in bibs in this video if you would like... ua-cam.com/video/PCYh0eqMq0k/v-deo.html -Bryan
I actually returned the cottonwood set I had. Bibs and jacket. The stretch material on the jacket on the sides and on the arms made me cold and didn’t stop the wind at all. The I also didn’t like how the bibs stopped at the waist, not really bibs in my opinion rather a pant. Also collected burs like craaazy. Ended up settling with FirstLite and haven’t looked back. Hope that helps
What set did you go with through first lite? How well do you like the camo pattern? I’m not sold on the specter pattern with all the green in it. I really like the ASAT and code of silence camo patterns to really break up your outline. I’m interested in the code of silence gear with the Berber wool and fleece wool creating that drab look and really absorbing the light to match the surroundings and blend in with the time of day whether it be morning, mid-day, or last light. However, I hunt where there are a lot of burrs and they stick to everything and end up making my gear way louder than it should be. The camo pattern printed on the first lite gear almost seems too “bright” and stands out when out in the woods.
Are any of zone7 versa, zone7 dialed in, or coldfall jackets/bibs waterproof or water resistant?
No they are not. They are all Berber wool, you get wind proofing and warmth but not water resistance.
@@TheSeasonsMedia are they 100% windproof? Have you ever felt wind coming thru any of the pieces?
