I’ve been a (die hard) Weezer fan since the Blue album, I’ll never forget the first time I saw them in ‘94 at The Warfield Theatre in San Francisco. And every time they come to the Bay Area, I always make sure not to miss them. Thank You you for uploading this, I’m so glad he played Falling For You here. ❤️
How cool is this? I would have loved to be there. Rivers is so very special and extremely talented. I love how he shows his audiences so much respect. Song after song , they are all so great.
Man I know Rivers has gone through all sorts of weird phases and it seems like sometimes he's totally lost it but then he pulls something PHENOMENAL such as this and I'll be damned if Rivers isn't just the greatest.
i know this is a late reply but I was there at this show and I remember it feeling like everyone wasn't sure what the crowd energy was supposed to be until a bit into the show lol
I think they knew it. I just think they were feeling out the gig and whether rivers wanted a sing along. Then he led them in the chorus in “island in the sun” and they realized he wanted them to participated.
WTF? Why is Rivers solo show like 2X longer than a Weezer show? :( Love Weezer, but their shows are too f-ing short. Seen Weezer probably a dozen times and their shows usually clock in at like 1 hour 15. Love them, but their shows are too friggin short.
It could also be a tour thing, shorter sets because they have to do more shows. One man on his own chilling with an acoustic is infinitely less strenuous than, a tour + trying to compete over drums, electric guitar and loud ass bass 4/5 times a week. Then again Foo Fighters put on a 3+ hour show every single night, but dave grohl can barely hit the notes he use to. Rivers sounds immaculate and just as good when the songs were recorded. Minus some top range (which we all lose eventually)
Not sure why they shortened their shows...I have went to Weezer shows in the past that were like 2 and 1/2 hour sets and were awesome because of all the songs they have.
What about The damage in your heart (Pinkerton era melancholy vibe) This is such a pity (Alt rock meets new wave, genius song) Hold me (again Pinkerton melancholy vibe just not as raw production of pink)
Jesus Christ. What a fucking gem. Thanks for uploading this. Just wish that one guy would just the fuck up. It’s mostly this one guy yelling “woo!” And “yeah!” as if people are counting on him to say his woo and yeahs!
When he mentions Brian contributed a little to the writing of LA girlz anyone know what his contribution was? I assumed it maybe was the bridge because when the band does it live he really gets into that part? Unless it’s the verse melody? Just was always curious as it’s one of if not my fav from the white album.
It's well known that Rivers can shred, but he doesn't often on Weezer songs cuz it's not their style or whatever. Does anyone else think it would be badass if he played something by, say, Megadeth or Malmstein in the middle of a set like this?
FREEBIRD! I WAS WORKING AT BURGERLORDS THERE AT HI~HAT! I heard him do sound check, i was hoping he ordered a burger so i could say whats up. He did not. 💔😭
I like his voice, his personality and the choice of the songs, but this is really dull to me. He plays just the basic chords on the acoustic guitar like a random busker in every city. I think he should think of some other arrangements for these songs, maybe include piano or some other instruments. It would sound so much more unique and interesting. My opinion.
I love that people love Pinkerton as much as I do.
Lola Mae yeah. Isn't that amazing that OTHER PEOPLE also love a classic album? I bet you thought you were the only one........
Stephen G Sorry, it's just that not a lot of people I know like Pinkerton or even Weezer.
Well Lola Mae, open your eyes. There's a huge world around you.
Stephen G I understand that, but you don't have to be rude to a stranger either do you?
Lola Mae weeeelllll
What a set list.
He plays the Pinkerton songs so well on the acoustic
cursivenewb well he has been playing them for about 22 years
He also toured around the county to different local spots to promote Pinkerton’s (then future) release playing them on acoustic
@@ayetee881 like that high school radio show contest concert
They were all originally written on the acoustic guitar and translated
across the sea better on acoustic
You know the real problem with Rivers? Nothing.
1:09:21 Lol the way he messes up and apologizes is funny as hell
then messes up again and no one else cared.
1:27
Guy: PLAY CRAB!
Rivers: what, huh. oh
(ignores him)
So much of "Pinkerton", good stuff! =D
Lucky people there...
Much love for Pinkerton here

ready for them and the pixies in august?
? You betcha!!! 💖
Fan since 94 here too. 8th grade represent! 😂😂😂
William Avitt I’m older than you but props to you for knowing good music at such young age...put it there, pal ✋
#weezerforlife
And the you stopped listening after green album like everyone else right
lol to that guy shouting for trainwrecks
Munby TRAINWRECKS! I actually wouldn’t mind hearing that live...
Adam Robinson yeah it would probably be great
Can't wait for that part--love that song btw. Underrated song.
How cool is this? I would have loved to be there. Rivers is so very special and extremely talented. I love how he shows his audiences so much respect. Song after song , they are all so great.
One of the best videos ……. on ALL of UA-cam ❤
If I say I watched it a 💯x, I’d be low.
Man I know Rivers has gone through all sorts of weird phases and it seems like sometimes he's totally lost it but then he pulls something PHENOMENAL such as this and I'll be damned if Rivers isn't just the greatest.
Thank you for uploading. I had completely given up on Rivers and he once again pulls me back with a talented performance
Holy moly am I glad I stumbled into this. Thanks for sharing... so great. I will be coming back here a lot.
Thank you so much for recording and uploading this!
you're the real mvp
The way he awkwardly removes the mic at 10:50 hahahaha I love him
So many hits! Excellent songs!
43:12 "Alright" *shrug* - haha I think he was planning on one "in the garage" but everyone sang a second one! 😂
that crowd seems unfamiliar with losing my religion
Yeah it’s a shame. Losing My Religion is a beautifully written and heartfelt song!!!
Maybe they were having rapid eye movement and couldn’t respond with the appropriate approval?
Yeah, I noticed that too. REM is one of the best alternative bands of all time.
i know this is a late reply but I was there at this show and I remember it feeling like everyone wasn't sure what the crowd energy was supposed to be until a bit into the show lol

William Leary IKR?! They always leave us hangin’ like WTF?

Seriously, I'm always disappointed when they leave out so many epic songs
Not sure why they shortened their shows...I have went to Weezer shows in the past that were like 2 and 1/2 hour sets and were awesome because of all the songs they have.
I thinks it's because they keep co headlining
I love this!
stEpH what are you trying to say? Your reply doesn't make sense.
I wonder how much tickets were. I'd pay at least 150 per ticket, for something like this.
Kevin Hagler I paid $35 including fees. Sold out show
Heather Hull wow. Thanks for the info.
That's a great price for such a unique show. Lucky you!
i fell in love this evening
Love the way they feel Say It Ain't So
This is pure gold, thanks for making the video and sharing. Weezer is Life.
Legend! What a great solo performance. Thanks for uploading, this really has made my night after a really rough day. Just awesome !!!
wow this is so good
This video has probably my favorite acoustic recording of SIAS. Not for musical quality, but the fan interaction is great
Great setlist - lucky you for being there!
Thank you for uploading this fine show Rey!!!
gold! thank you!
Thank you!!!
OMG Thank you!! Ive been watching him do bits and pieces on Periscope, and now I get to see the whole song!!
Champagne Supernova ❤️
Great video, man. Thank you very much.
Thank you!! ❤️❤️
The greatest acoustic performance that ever lived
I love this show.😊
Thank you Ray !!!
This. Is. Amazing. Props to the taper!
This is amazing, thank you.
@38:10
Rivers:”screw this crap I’ve had it”
Crowd:”I’VE HAD IT”
thank you so much for uploading this!
THANK YOU RAY!
this was a treat to watch, cheers for the upload
thank you Rey !
My personal fatal flaw as a guitarist that tries to sing to covers is that I try too hard to sound like the people I cover.
that'd've been funny if he wore a baldy skin cap for the first two songs...
Michael Bridgewater highly underrated comment
If he starts doing this again, he should play "Automatic" with a bald cap
And the last one
the good life! holy Shite! ridiculous awesome!
Best quality about Rivers Cuomo is he always leaves you wanting more-a valuable secret!!
HOLY SHIT! Now this is a fucking show!! Also notice Rivers’ voice hasn’t aged a bit.
Everybody always gives make believe so much shit, but I think perfect situation is a really really good song
the first side of the LP is really good! the second side isn't Raditude-level horrible but there are definitely some stinkers.

What about The damage in your heart (Pinkerton era melancholy vibe)
This is such a pity (Alt rock meets new wave, genius song)
Hold me (again Pinkerton melancholy vibe just not as raw production of pink)
The whole record is good if you take Beverly Hills and we are all on drugs off of it.
Across the sea 💙
I love him, he's just so awesome!!!❤❤❤❤
I wish i was here!
His voice sounds so fucking good here
Damn this crowd is 🔥🔥🔥
Jesus Christ. What a fucking gem. Thanks for uploading this.
Just wish that one guy would just the fuck up. It’s mostly this one guy yelling “woo!” And “yeah!” as if people are counting on him to say his woo and yeahs!
Great set list but I wish he'd include stuff from ewbaite.

Hey I know I’m late by 3 years lol but Brian wrote the melody and came up with la girlz for his band but ended up scraping ut
Magic!
love him
Um setlist desses, bicho. ;)
HOW DID I MISS THIS SHOW THE HI HAT IS SO SMALL WTFFFFF
God bless Rivers.
good
heck yea bud
At least this audience knows how to be quiet for us to listen 😂
It's well known that Rivers can shred, but he doesn't often on Weezer songs cuz it's not their style or whatever. Does anyone else think it would be badass if he played something by, say, Megadeth or Malmstein in the middle of a set like this?
REM❤️
I guess the audience was caught by surprise in the 1st one... his voice is really cool cause he seems to be afraid of singing everytime
What did that girl shout after Rivers played The Good Life?
She screamed, "YOU'RE FUCKING GOLDEN, RIVERS" or something like that. I can't rightly remember cause I'm typing this like 40 minutes later.
fuck Yeah Rivers!!
I wonder why rivers did Today in that key after he played Losing My Religion in its standard EADGBE Am key
Prolly just to be and to play open chords
Ok nevermind, he just played island in the sun a 1/2 step higher
Does anyone know if there were any opening acts/bands that played before Rivers did his set?
No openers. Show started at 5pm. There was another show after, Guantanamo Baywatch plus others.
Thanks for the info!
FREEBIRD! I WAS WORKING AT BURGERLORDS THERE AT HI~HAT!
I heard him do sound check, i was hoping he ordered a burger so i could say whats up. He did not. 💔😭
Randy Herrera Because he’s a vegetarian 🌱
Eloisa Pantazis but we have vegan patties?!
Randy Herrera Aww, maybe he didn’t know. You should’ve said what’s up, anyway 😊
WOW!! This show is better than sex!!! 👓

Dude listen to Allan Holdsworth or Rachmaninov on your own time. We are here for Rivers and his magic.
