    Ted didn't do anything bad or out there. He just hired a guy to find someone for him. He didn't tell the guy to stalk her or spy on her, he just wanted to know how Mary was. Then even wanted to catch up and help her when he thought she was completely degraded and changed, he still wanted to be a good friend to her.

    I love the end, when Ted says goodbye to Warren and touches near his ears and Warren doesn't freak and just says goodbye to Ted also. To me that's when Mary realized who she truly loved/wanted to be with. While this is more or less a "gross out comedy" style movie, with some real creepy dudes and really out there scenes, that one little touch at the end sealed the deal as one of my favorite movies of all time. And as you pointed out Mary, Warren remembering Ted's name is another clue for the movie to lead to the end. I mean obviously Ben Stiller's character is the "main" character next to Mary so it is pretty obvious they'd end up together, but it still works so well.

      First off, he wasn't embezzling funds - how dare you! Favre used misappropriated state funds meant for disadvantaged Mississippi families (the poorest state by GDP and per capita in the US) to build a new gym at his Alma Mater and dedicated to him (even though he donated nothing of his own), and there's pretty damning evidence he knew about the financial misdealing beforehand.

  • @reallybadgamer
    @reallybadgamer Місяць тому

    What an AWESOME reaction. I almost passed out laughing when they were in the car and the guy pitching his "7 minute abs" (actor Harland Williams) and he started twitching his head. Mary said "HE'S GLITCHING!". I couldn't stop laughing. I instantly knew he was the same guy who played the cop in Dumb and Dumber. When he as the cop pulls Harry and Lloyd over drinks from the bottle they have inside, he does the same "glitching"! Must be part of that actor's "thing". Of course, I probably would too know what was in it. Loved your response Mary. Also, I live about 15 minutes from Green Bay and I got mary'd (couldn't resist) around the time when the Packers won the super bowl in late 90's. Football is HUGE around here and we about fell over when we saw our quarterback in the movie at the end. The packers are so loved here that some of the guys went "missing" during my wedding reception. Where were they? In the next room watching the football game. Priorities.

    I think it is great that you're focused on career and other things you want to do in life. When my daughter told me she wanted to get married in her second year in college, I had a serious anxiety attack. I wanted her to get a degree first because relationships are so unpredictable and I didn't want her to have regrets in life.
    Thankfully, she proved me wrong and is currently working on a doctorate while also managing a family - but I still stand by my original concern. Most other people would not have the resolve to be married, raise kids and still pursue an advanced degree. Pursuing your goals in life should be your first priority and when you're in a good spot in life and there's no need for you to "settle", that's when you can pause and think about relationships.

    2:26 - "It's so rare to meet a Mary."
    Less than 3 minutes into the vid and there have already been too many mentions of having the same name.
    I guess it must be different down under, but the Social Security Administration lists Mary as the 7th most common female name in the U.S. for women currently alive, with more than 2 million women having that name.
