Good times. My daughter and I were visiting Mission Viejo from Canada, for some early season riding. We went out one day found a trail, and rode up (the Luge). Got a good laugh from our American friends when we were told this was a great downhill!!!. Great memories of riding in Calif.
glad you're ok. This one is a fun one for sure. Was up there few weeks ago and witnessed a poor dude pretty beat up from his face dive. Face all bloody, looked like his shoulder was out of whack and he was dazed and confused.
STTL is an awesome trail system. Glad you fell on the inside of that corner as you cooked it and walked away relatively unscathed other than the ego. I remember riding this trail back in the day when visiting family and vendors and brought my Yeti 575 just in case. Luck was on my side and happen to snatch the money shot overlooking Orange and the beach. Went to Cook's for recovery fuel and was given a t-shirt as souvenir. Definitely underrated trail and forever in my cherished memories as I come from flatland SoFlo. Great ride and hope to see more of these vids from you. Subbed
Very cool to see an OC based MTB Channel. There are a few cool spots in South San Clemente. Dog Park and the Talega trail to name a few. Beautiful house by the way. Looks like either Orange or Los Alamitos craftsman style.
That's one of those that just happens whether you made a mistake or not. Looked like you got to high on the berm and well you know... Heal up man you'll be back up to speed soon. Excellent vid I'm looking forward to more
Appreciate that - I've watched it a few times and yeah, I can now see where things went wrong even before they went down. Thanks for being a part of the channel!
I wear my Fox Proframe all the time now. I push myself to progress on the bike and hence a crash is inevitable. The new lightweight full face helmets like the Proframe and the TLD Stages breath so well.
Crashes are such confidence deflators. I crashed hard 3 weeks ago in Mt Pinos. It was raining up there that day. Sprained my left index and middle finger. Haven’t ridden since. But will be back on Sunday.
I finally rode this trail today . The ride up was tough, but the down was awesome. Beautiful scenery and made it one piece. Lol . Thank you for all your videos .
My first time on the Luge today and I crashed in the exact same spot you did Outsider. All I was thinking after my crashed was I did the exact same thing the Outsider did.

@@TheOutsiderMTB I wish for your speedy recovery so I can see more of your inspiring trail riding experience. I am a retired U.S Marines and that is why I love the see that flag up there. Again, thank you very much!
When I started this channel I did not expect to hear feedback like this. This made my day. Thanks for being a part of the channel. I love hearing that you've been motivated to get out there and experience new trails and areas. Also, thank you for your service!
Thanks! I was also worried about not moving my bike out of the way fast enough. Not much room to get off of the trail in a situation like this on The Luge.
