It's complicated... I also have a GSX 1000. A 1000 is always a 1000, however the CB1000 is the weakest of the 1000, but it is extremely easy and pleasant to drive. In my opinion, in terms of build quality, the Suzuki is better... If you have the opportunity, try them both and see which one suits you best...

Get the cb...I've had 486 bikes since 1985,usually change within a few weeks but my cb 1000r is here to stay....
