Sealant Cohesive/Adhesive Testing

I recently did a transfer case cover on a 2010 rav4 2.5 and within 2 days it started leaking again. I could not understand why since im very thorough. I had a suspicion and the test confirmed it. The Toyota FIPG 1281 00295-01281 had failed/expired. In addition, I tested Permatex 81182 side by side which I had for the same time (about 1year). Toyota FIPG has a shelf live of only 6 months... Thats right 6 months according to the manufacturer. Make sure you do a test before using it and doing the job twice..
