This is too cool. I think I speak for a lot of Prince people when I say many of us want to hear from more than the typical Wendy/Lisa/Susannah Revolution group. These NPG musicians were with Prince a lot longer, and their stories are always fascinating. I think Prince was more open and himself with the NPG folk. Most of his reclusive behaviors seemed to disappear with the NPG and later in life.
Don’t care too much for Wendy and Susannah but Lisa was there 4 years before them and even lived with him in the early days.Still,I get what your saying

Miko one of the hometown homies back in like 80 or 81 he showed me and a friend how to play this Cameo tune at Conta Costa College , it was the first song I learned and he played the bass part on my homies guitar I will never forget that day

He said p parked in the basement. That's amazing because I've never seen it in reality but I had a dream once where I was at paisley and I came in through the back entrance underground. It was paved but it led up into an area with a sound stage inside the complex.

Proud of you Miko bro for always staying authentic. Proud of Prince too for excusing himself. Funny fact, when i was playing in Miko's Boombox Band in the late 90's in Rotterdam we had the same conflict going on in a venue called The Blue Fish, Miko got angry on me for no reason, so i packed my percussion gear and left. Later that week Miko called me up and excused himself. Bottem line, shit happens under pressure but love must always win in the end. Miko and me are still good brothers uptil today working together in musical projects.💥💜💯

I'm just glad to finally hear from Miko in general! Always wanted to know more about him, ever since i saw him perform with Sheila E. at the Grammys ( or AMerican Music awards back in the day). Miko is telling the truth. P had a lot on his plate at times and this was one of them. You have to remember that he had his hands in every thing and he would get stressed just like anyone else. He was normal, but he didn't want any parts of Mico.. he wasn't a fighter.. not that he couldn't but it was the s tress.. trust me. I know. I've known the cat since 76..

Proud of you Miko bro for always staying authentic. Proud of Prince too for excusing himself. Funny fact, when i was playing in Miko's Boombox Band in the late 90's in Rotterdam we had the same conflict going on in a venue called The Blue Fish, Miko got angry on me for no reason, so i packed my percussion gear and left. Later that week Miko called me up and excused himself. Bottem line, shit happens under pressure but love must always win in the end. Miko and me are still good brothers uptil today working together in musical projects.💥💜💯
