I was just thinking that my hobbyking (flysky) radio was weak... , as I see it, it is as weak as a spektrum :) Well, people say that Futaba transmitters have incredible range. Maybe they're right. I'll be spending a couple hundred on such a system. Just because I don't want to loose control. Specially with a boat in the middle of the river. Take care.
Everyone hating on the cop, think about if there was a biker coming that Hallstrom didn't see. I'm not gonna write an essay like someone else did in their reply, but I do agrree with that person.
No. I can run it around my yard, jump my ramp, do backflips and wheelies for a full battery cycle with no problem. Just can't do hard starts and stops like hard track running...
Stock esc is a generic term. Some trucks have 80 amp, some have 130 amp esc's. Either way, electric systems "draw" the amps from the lipos. So a higher C rating lipo just won't be used to it's full amp draw by a lower rated motor/ esc. Shouldn't hurt a thing, and for sure it will run to its full capability with a higher C rating lipo.
Stock Gearing = 18T Pinion / 54T Spur (out of the box) Speed Gearing = 18T Pinion / 46T Spur (to get 50+MPH) What do you get using stock electrics AND the gearing it came with? With or without stock electronics, modifying the gearing can drastically change the speed of the vehicle...
Figures, traffic jam, out of radio range, and a sheriff all at once. haha.... maybe it was your day to buy a power ball or mega millions ticket! Could have been worse I suppose, glad one of the semis wasn't coming along to run it over. Nice speed run on it though! Any thought of adding the Traxxas gps module right to the truck to get the gps speed via the app?
@@turner9422 what batteries is he using? I'm running the stock motor with a max5 on 18/46 gearing, with 8s yowoo lipo's, and mine tops out around 50mph
@@jobbo89 u should have really used a max 6 esc max 5 is really for smaller rc cars but even if u had a stock 8s xmax the esc is prety capable probly even more suited than the max 5 just change the pinion gear to a 20t and the spur gear to a 46t then get yourself some decent 50c discharge rated batteries or higher and ull be doing the speeds he is
Well you should be using your common sense not to be running your R/C vehicle in a public road anyway and you should be driving it on a huge open parking lot instead if you want to do test speed runs. That cop is doing his job and no he won't mind his own business its his job. Yeah he ain't hurting anyone on the road but what if the r/c truck lost range and went out of control and ran into an incoming car and caused that car to crash and hurt or kill somebody you be responsible for that persons injury and damaged property, think about it.
The cop didn't know I was exceeding the speed limit, lol...
Good run I had 47 with sky rc GPS ! That was serious bad luck cop showing up find a dead road!!
Wow... I ran my xmaxx almost twice that distance and had no problem with the control
57 mph and no ticket = good day ☺️
So true. "Get it off the road." Yessir!

That was funny 😂🤣 Nice one 👍👍
Cops like that are exactly the reason why I turn on the news and see what I see. Crazy how things work.
Agree

Is it only good for a pass or two before it gets hot?
No. I can run it around my yard, jump my ramp, do backflips and wheelies for a full battery cycle with no problem. Just can't do hard starts and stops like hard track running...
Why did it stop working like that? Low battery on the controller?
No radio distance
What batteries are you running I heard 75c should be the highest you should go with stock esc

What was esc and motor Temps and do you bash with those gears
No, this gearing is what's needed for the Xmaxx to do a backflip...
@@chilly7261what use gearing
no way that was 57 mph ur phone says top speed was 37 it wouldnt be that much of a differents
So that mean the traxxas app and real time telemetry on esc are not accurate.
Sick!
That traxxas transmitter range was bad lmao

Is it fully stock normal gears ⚙
Stock electronics. The gears are changed...
What are the gears changed too?
@@funnybologna6656 It's right here at the 0:31 mark...
Lol makes sense trying to put son to sleep so sound was off but thank you
That cop was a prick
Are you running the stock gears in it
I wonder what the ticket is for running an RC car on the road.
Lol. I don't think there is one!
@@chilly7261 Not gonna lie, I would love to see a police chase with an X-Maxx rotfl
Middle of nowhere and cop comes cruising by...that's annoying.
Bet the cops radar jammed the signal

Thanks. Not adding the traxxas GPS module. I check the speed with my Garmin unit, then I'm done. I'm not a speed run junky
I don't get how some can go 57mph stock and others top out at 48mph
Thats cus his isnt stock he has changed the pinion to a 20t and the spur to 46t
Also traxxas bateries are not good at delivering power as they peak at 25c get atleast 50c batteries

Nice run,but ya gotta run faster than that ta get it off the road, lol, at least before a cop comes by..
The cop can’t afford a xmaxx. Jealousy
