That hexagonal 25 yr employee gift pencil is just stellar. Carries so much history, from the time era in general terms as well as the person that carried it. 👍🤓
You never need to justify what you collect 😊 When something is as awesome as these pencils one should get all you can 😅. I recently found the eversharp silver pencil and are just blown away. Back in the day one could write with an amasing pencil amd today we only have ugly and boring ones. Thank you for all your good videos
Those retractable pencils appear quite practical. I find myself wondering why modern versions, especially compact ones, aren’t made any anymore. They would make excellent keychain EDC items.”
I'd guess modern wooden pencils can be as small as a fingernail and fairly durable anyway, so cheap and easy to acquire that these just don't serve much practical use compared to them. And you can always customize them to your purpose with a knife. Even make a "carrypouch" keyring from paracord for them. But these are very beautiful artifacts though.
these are super cool. I have a regular Eversharp from the 20,s or so nothing special but stll very cool functional pen. I´m trying not fall in to the rabbithole...
These are super neat! Are there any modern versions of these? I don’t really use pencils, but they looks so cool I’d want to throw one in my backpack. But not a vintage one of course 😂
Love this channel. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful collection with us I had no idea these existed and thanks to you, I will be keeping an eye out to see if I can get my hands on one... or 12. (My aluminium mechanical pencil served me so well for many years of study. A Magic / -propelling- "extending" Pencil will be a timely upgrade) eta: love the outro
Like Magic! I’m actually not sure how the mechanism works but I know they are impossible to fix so if you find one on eBay that doesn’t extend, don’t buy it.
Please Craig, my wallet can't take any more. I don't even write that much to be honest. Please don't introduce more cool writing instruments. That too with so much history behind them.
Very cool collection! I've never seen anything like this before. Thanks for introducing me to them.
Thanks for checking it out!
If you hadn’t already shown me at the office I’d have no idea about these things. But super cool! Thanks, Craig!
Thanks Kevin!
Those are cool as hell, I’ve never seen one before!
Excellent collection.
Thank you!
Wow! I love these! ❤ I have to admit that when you first showed the tray, I thought the smallest was just a part!
Crazy how tiny they get!
I learn so much from your videos!
Aww I’m glad!
A new fancy thing I didn't know about, they look so hecking pretty :3
Suggestion! That letter opener should be called "Mister Oink"
Very cool
As a doodlebug, I got really excited about a pencils video. These are awesome! Fantastic to hear from ya, Craig!
Aww Mads! I hope you are doing well!
So Cool! Thanks for showing us

I love that one! I have it on me today at work 😃
I had no idea! Big fan of mechanical pencils. They are fantastic for my linework in drawings. Thanks for the education and sharing! 😊
Thanks as always David!

Well, time to expand the pen collection to a pencil collection!
These are super cool, Craig! And congrats on the cool new camera! Shooting like a boss!
Super cool!

Yay!
If you are looking for 1.1mm lead in anything but HB, Legendary Pencil Company still has vintage lead up to 5B.

Check out the Lamy Pico which is fairly similar but as a ball point! I use one everyday!
@@CraigRoccanova oh wow that looks so fun! Thank you!

Thanks so much! 😊
those are super cool, but the lead is a big problem.
What’s nice is David Nishimura sells them with lead at least. I don’t use them everyday so the lead should last
I collect pencils because it's a cheap hobby. But now I know these exist, so...
how does it work???
