Cool pen.

Interesting design; looks like it holds a lot of ink. I imagine drawing/fountain pen inks only? India ink seems like it could gum that up (<-not familiar with fountain pens, but does use brush pens and dip pens)

In dip pens, I adore how they scratch the paper. It really makes my gums ticklish. But this one must be on another level. Also the line variations and flow are gorgeous. You must feel like a surgeon while drawing with this one.

You forgot to mention that the Plaisir is designed with a special feature which keeps its ink supply from drying out. That said, I’d still buy the Pilot.

That Thing by Dan piston blade is the most innovative pen I've seen in a long time! So simple, yet elegant and sophisticated. One of the things I like about the pen hobby is that once you think everything has already been done something different comes along. Thanks for introducing it to us. Glad to see that your doing well and creating more videos.

The blade pen is a neat concept, but Wowza! that #8 dip pen is something else. It's almost comical in size.

I love seeing the old ephemera and can't wait for the film restoration to be complete.

What an interesting tool; thanks for the introduction! It would be super useful for a festive note or swatching inks into a notebook. I will keep my eye out for these. Glad to hear the film restoration is happening. An interesting video all around.

That brass blade pen would probably do very well with shimmer and glitter inks!!

I started plugging this hole to prevent the nib from drying out so quickly, but I wasn't sure if it was advisable. That 'Things by Dan' pen is very interesting. It is a folded nib pen with a reservoir!!! Loved the post cards that came with my pen purchase, I'm really enjoying the pen. I'm glad to see another video from you - there's no need to rush, so take the time you need to work things out.

Such a fun project on the film restoration, your endeavors in preservation are so important, not just for us now, but for generations to come. Dan’s design is impressive in its simplicity, and had it come out a couple centuries ago it might have well turned the tide toward reservoir pens by circumventing the need for modern feeds which it would have logically then inspired-though the broad strokes aren’t consistent or fine enough for most uses, the slit’s ample controlled air exchange allows for very functional “reverse” writing, thus negating a feed, with earlier iterations thereof often suffering from failure to achieve the pressure equalization this manages. Encore. On a separate note, having been a grateful beneficiary of your generous giveaways already, I must exempt myself from this and any other prizes in posts to come. You posting at all is my gift in plenty.
