Hey Buddy, thank you so much for your review man. Means a lot. Yes we acknowledge on the leadtime, we are working to meet our next milestone to hit 3 months delivery. We have invested in new factory and machines. We are also looking into the USB hub too. Really thank you man!!!!
That's great news to hear. Will you offer other outlets to purchase your various cabinets? My antivirus software denied access because it recognized some viral threats.
Suuuuper cool! This looks glorious. Love the UV moducase and these lightboxes you put it. Thanks for sharing the insights and your concept and setup steps. The power supply is def. a thing and I fear the weekend I'll setup my cases... Waiting for my order right now, i hope Moducase can time the order a bit so that I get the order when I'm moving into my home - communication is super with them and I got trust it will work. I ordered also "acrylic half shelves" (half the depth) to mount in the vertical beams to basically have 2 levels of hot toys figures in a case (like you did with the boxes). Bryan from Moducases even customized height and lenght of my cases. As example the height of one case is now 70cm, I'll stack 3 -> 210cm to better fill the room height since it will be in the basement where the room height is limited. If I'd have a taller room I'd definitely to the same as you and put some life-size / prop stuff on them. The full order weight is 250kg ... omg!
It sounds like timing will be an issue for you too. I forget and made an error in the video that mention it took one day to assemble. It took about 3-4 days to fully set up.
I'm going through a stage in collecting where I want quality over quantity. And as you said "Classy" that's what I want to go for. I stumbled on your video by chance. Love how you think and that collection is an absolute jewel.
Nice collection. Didn't know about Hit Toys Lightboxes. Will look into adding those into my collection. Watched another room tour tonight with Moducases. Looks strong and sturdy. Thanks so much for sharing. Really appreciate it
My friends who aren't educated about how awesome the Hot Toys figures are just floored how good they look. I'm going to get some of these Moducases, because this just looks so slick.
Holy lordy man, now that is a collection. Glad to hear the moducases are working well for you. I have two cases and its nice to have my collectibles in a dust free setup.
Hey Danoby2, Thanks for putting out your 1st moducase video which was very helpful and informative. And now this 2nd vid with the 6month follow -up with pros/cons is also just as informative with the tips of plan ahead with the power supply/extra sockets/usb ports. I ordered the Sixth1604 back in Sept when they did the first launch sale, and ended up adding another 2 vertical towers with this last Christmas/New Years sale after doing the math and needed more room for future figure purchases. I know once the order finally arrives I will be viewing your 1st vid as a tutorial numerous times before and during the build. Oh, I have a suggestion, I remember you mentioning on the 1st video that you were getting a sore wrist and fingers from all the screwing. You should maybe look into getting a T-Handle Hex Wrench set for your 2nd Moducase build, it will still be a lot of manual work, but at least the T-handle is more ergonomic to use than that L shape/Allen wrench they supplied you with the order. Thanks again for making these moducase vids
Maybe most of people would look behind and say , ou look some toys behind this man but the whole thing is that those toys are between 150-400 euro a piece and the worst part is not the money itself is that you can find to buy them anymore. Nice video keep up the collection.
buddy, for future referance when it comes to running power cords through you case back. Cut the cord man, then you can just make the hole the width of the cord. There's really on 2 wires inside of an ungrounded cord, and 3 on a grounded one. It's the easiest thing in the world to do. I'm going to go grab a couple links to the tools I use to do it. There are solder seal heat shrink connectors. You just put the ends of the wires through either side of the tube, til they meet in the middle, and then literally just blow it with a hair drier. But I also use heat shrink material. I'll put the appropriate size on the entire cord before I reconnect the wires, then I connect the wires with the solder seals, heat them, then slip the color coordinated heat shrink tube over the whole thing, and hit it with a heat gun "a hair dryer that isn't pink lol!" So for around 20 bucks you can get a variety pack of soler seals, and heat shrink tubing, and just do that to help with wiring. You can even run several cords together through a heat shrink tube, and make a snake. People wonder what the point is, until they sit and think about how much easier it would be if those 5 freaking power cords were just a single thicker cord. Makes cable management ummm manageable lol. That's one of the things I excel at, is organizing the "behind the scenes" aspects of different situations, entertainment center, computer desk, etc. I'm a musician, a drummer who plays mostly electronic dtrums, and I've got a recording studio in my house, so cable managment has been a constant companion for many years now. I hope either a viewer or yourself finds this helpful. BTW, NEVER mess with any kind of electrical wiring while it is connected to an outlet, and even when it's not be careful anyway. Capacitors and transformers can hold an electric charge for a very very long time, and it will be very happy to light you right on up, so cautioin is advised. It's not complicated at all though, and will make life a lot easier in ways you may not even consider. Being able to make that stuped TV power cord a little longer, or not having to replace a specific OEM cable, because you can just splice on another cable end, and still have the style plug you need, and so on and so on. It's a great, simple skill to have. Here's the links. I'm going to throw on a multimeter that recognizes what you are using it for, and sets itself up for you.
I really like the diversity of your cabinet my friend and turning one on its side is genius for your application . I know what you mean about that HT smell , i can still smell it on my reduced collection when i open the case these 4 plus years later . Sadly though that ongoing smell is a bad sign , its off gassing from the slow deterioration of the plastics . The Smithsonian said that storing plastics in a sealed container can excelerate the process of deterioration and especially oils from your fingers . Love them while we can ..
Thank you for the information @Danoby2 now i know i can make this cases my self with the same material those are. is not that hard. takes to long to wait for them. Thank you
One reason why they use acrylic here instead of glass is despite what you may think, acrylic is actually better for displays then glass is! I thought it was the other way around as well but actually acrylic has a transparency of 92% while glass is at 90%, plus acrylic being much lighter means said display cases can support more weight for the actual item being displayed.
Danoby2 is it possible to install a different brand of LEDs in these things? I love IKEAs Dioders color LEDs. Is there a way run your own cables in these things?
Hi! I saw your video and i must say know you were lucky to only wait 6 months xD, im looking that Moducase displays but the leadtime is soooooooooooo big, actually if i pick something today, i must wait until final Q4 of 2022, almost 8-10 months. I dont understand why they just dont have some products on stock to do insta delivery thats why i discarded Moducase
Thank you for this video. Very helpful and informative! I am currently looking for a solution for my 65+ statues and 90+ Hot Toys, not to mention other collectibles. This would work very nicely.
I ordered the 1604 set in their Black Friday deal. Good price. Lead time is long but it’s ok. The 1604 is for 1/6 scale but has 17” interior so some statues will fit. Ask has two 39” tall cases with flexible shelf for 1/4 statue or HT. Will be a nice change up to the display room. 🤙
@@Danoby2 Agree. I did a lot of the same. That's why I like this 1604 because it has 2 taller cases. I think I'll expand by adding more of those tall cases in the future for statues. I also decided Moducase was NOT a good solution for big statues. I looked at trying to cover two 1/3 Prime 1 statues, but just didn't make any sense.
Danoby - awesome review and insight - and awesome channel and reviews! Question - do you need to add weight enhancement to stack them if using hot toys or standard still good to stack 3 high? Looking to pick up three D60 moducases! Super excited for these to display collection and future proof for years to come! 🤘🏼👊🏼
Thanks for the info... I ordered a DF 2401 wall combination, just like you I wanted to make sure it can keep up with future figures. Thanks for highlighting the need for power sources, cause once that things is built it will stay put. Been using the Billy Bookcase and quickly outgrew it. Do you think the Ecto 1 will fit the DF120, my back up is a coffee table with the car enclosed.
Love this video it helped me make the pre order on a wall config I’m excited to put figures in it! Mind if you could explain the black light rigging process or the power source rigging process in a video?
These look like a great setup for my 1/6 and 1/7 anime figures. Though I don't see many channels using moducase for them. Also what is the female figure in the Nasa case? Great review.
you have a really nice display and setup, hot toys display well in those. I only collect statues and don't think they display well from what I've seen in these for the money...more head space is needed.
Hi mate. Enjoyed your vid. Your display is amazing ! May I ask what size cases tou are using in the middle. Are they df120s or max series.? I'm about to buy one of them and not sure what I need. Well I do know but just trying to see how it looks on the eye.
Awesome video, really appreciate the insight on these products. I’m looking to getting some for my collection as well. What would you recommend for sideshow premium format figures? Max height would be 30”. That would be my Leather Face Premium Format Figure.
@@Danoby2 yes I guess they are very new company I saw it on another channel just interested in what a big collector like your self though of that company thanks again for sharing your story it’s very informative
Hey Danoby, awesome display and collection. I wish I could buy those Moducases for my collection, hopefully one day. Can you tell me how many Hot Toys figures can you put in on of those DF120s? Also, its great to see another Las Vegan collector...Peace.
Can you not just get a sparky in to install a couple of new power outlets? It won't help with getting the leads into the cabinet, but will save aggravation on other fronts.
I'm really considering these cases - I don't like having the bottom display actually on the floor. How do you like it? On the Detolf's I have now, I put a riser underneath to store boxes and have some storage space. It seems like an expensive proposition to get these cases and then not use the bottom row.
I'm interested in picking one up in the future. However, I lack the shelf space and the physical space at this time. I've got two 1/6 scale figures in my collection so far. My biggest reason to get more is that I'm into New Wave Toys' Replicade cabinets. I have a WIP plan to make a miniature arcade. I do like you've pointed out the pros and cons of these cabinets. I do have some questions. I've spoken to a few folks regarding offering airflow for my display case. I don't want any dust to get in, but I worry that the soft goods and rubber skin on some figures will degrade. Have you any suggestions for that?
I've been seeing these cases for a long time and I really think that they are the best. I placed my order around september last year and I'm still waiting, however, Communication with Moducase team has been amazing. I sold almost all my other cases and planned according to the first estimated delivery date and now I'm starting to store my new figures for the lack of space. I have no doubt that these cases will be amazing and my collection will look great in it, but I wish the waiting time will be shorter. Thank you for the video.
Hi Danoby, I love your collection and display cases! I am planning to get moducases as well. Did you pay extra for the 30kg weight capacity? or did you keep it standard at 15kg? Thanks!
great video! It did solve a couple of concerns. I still have a question I hope you can help with. I was actually about to comment on your first moducase video to bother you with a question. I`m on the fence about ordering a cuple of DF 60 but I`m hesitant because I had other acrylic cases and they scratched very easily. how is the Moducase in that regard? hope you can share your experience on that issue. thank you!
I just got mine and honestly I have buyer's remorse. I find the acrylic panels scuff or scratch far too easily Has this happened to you? I am hoping Bryan helps me out with replacing them but it's been a nightmare since I got them a week ago. I tried polishing with Novus but it didn't do no good. They're so sensitive to damage. Wish he used Glass instead of Acrylic
No, this has no happened to me. Why would you try to polish an acrylic panel? I suspect this would be your first mistake. My panels still look great the day I got them.😬
Danoby2 awesome, thank you. I took advantage of the latest deal and ordered a bundle wall unit. Thank you for posting your video brother. It really helped me make my own decision. Happy new year!
Glass cabinets are really difficult. Having moved several times in my life, I also did not opt for something permanent. Detolf also fell flat for me when I discovered that weight is a bit of an issue. I could have worked with them taking out shelves (my figures are about 70 cm tall by default), but they also do weigh 2-3 kg per piece. As there was a chance that the Detolf could break or shatter (I have already heard of that), I ditched them, even at the price. Now I found glass cabinets which can carry 15 kg per piece, so these should carry the figures safely. But I simply love your display and am curious how your studio will look like when you have completed (at least for the moment) your display.
Yikes, just saw the prices of Moducase. No thanks, they are simply aquariums. You can buy them for less than $130 a piece if you stay away from moducase instead of paying their $500 +.
I’ve seen people stack and use aquariums and put up custom shelves with cut glass. I’m personally not a fan of the thick borders. I prefer border less.

Are you planning on making that whole space as a collection room? Or just part of it? The display looks great btw.
That is plan, a living collection that changes through out they times. :)
great video! It did solve a couple of concerns. I still have a question I hope you can help with. I was actually about to comment on your first moducase video to bother you with a question. I`m on the fence about ordering a cuple of DF 60 but I`m hesitant because I had other acrylic cases and they scratched very easily. how is the Moducase in that regard? hope you can share your experience on that issue. thank you!
Haven't had any issues with scratches. The acrylic is pretty tough.
@@Danoby2 thank you for the quick response!
How are they in terms of sitting on carpet? Any issues?
I've had to move some units after a year or so. No issues, the weight is evenly distributed.
are these max 140s?
I just got mine and honestly I have buyer's remorse. I find the acrylic panels scuff or scratch far too easily
Has this happened to you? I am hoping Bryan helps me out with replacing them but it's been a nightmare since I got them a week ago. I tried polishing with Novus but it didn't do no good. They're so sensitive to damage. Wish he used Glass instead of Acrylic
No, this has no happened to me. Why would you try to polish an acrylic panel? I suspect this would be your first mistake. My panels still look great the day I got them.😬
People would bite your arm off for a 6 month wait time now. 😂
You got that right.
Do you prefer the spotlights or light strips in the moducases
Both actually. They serve their purpose.
Hey brother, do you prefer the spot lights or led strips? Thanks
LEDs from this point on.
Danoby2 awesome, thank you. I took advantage of the latest deal and ordered a bundle wall unit. Thank you for posting your video brother. It really helped me make my own decision. Happy new year!
✌️😳✌️✅
How many figures did you get in the moducase?
It varies depending on size and Moducase.
Nice statues but looks too crowded
So you not even getting an exchange blitz way astronaut?
No, I didn't want to deal with a second break, since collectors reach out to me and told me their statues arrived broken as well.😣
@@Danoby2 man that's a sad outcome, at least you got the experience of it
@@EZCompanyCollectibles and a video. In the end it felt like it was more trouble than worth. It's sold out everywhere already climbing in price.🙄
@@Danoby2 I had wanted it as well...
so is this actually dust proof on the inside?
Once I'm complete. :) Assuming that Moducases will send my shipment out! Thanks for your input!
Why in hell does it take six months for something to ship?
Future proof.
I think you will be in serious trouble if you travel to Hong Kong :)
Yikes, just saw the prices of Moducase. No thanks, they are simply aquariums. You can buy them for less than $130 a piece if you stay away from moducase instead of paying their $500 +.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can't stack aquariums 3 levels high and use the the top for storage. 😅
I’ve seen people stack and use aquariums and put up custom shelves with cut glass. I’m personally not a fan of the thick borders. I prefer border less.
