    • An Old School Lesson f...
    Klay should take a lesson from Larry Bird. Realize when you can't earn your paycheck anymore, say thank you to the people who were paying you, and bow out. SAY THANK YOU!
    The sense of entitlement is out of control for all these players and is fed to us constantly by the media that they are owed the world. What about the players owing the organizations that paid them? Is there any decency or humility in any of their minds to possibly realize they don't deserve what they are asking for?
    Petty, passive aggressive Klay Thompson, should go join the king of petty and passive aggressiveness, LeBron, in LA. But only if he takes Draymond with him.

      I understand this channel is a little different. More like pure negativity but I'm just curious HOW Klay Thompson got the "drama queen" stamp. Dude LITERALLY hardly ever talks. Only things ppl know about him is how he act on the floor. That's at work. If u don't follow his little brother or even Klay himself. I'm having a hard time understanding how Klay Thompson is all of a sudden a diva comparable to LBJ. I mean c'mon now. Dude is a legend if he stopped playing today. Y'all on here in the comments acting like Klay a bum. A diva. He sucks soooo bad. Man please. Dude is a legend. He came back from severe acl tears. Ya'll petty little kids don't even know what that even means. Who cares how much money he made. That's HIS bag. Stop making up shit cause Klay unfollowed the team. I'm SURE the ACTUAL person knows MORE about his OWN situation than ANY of ya'll do. Speculation videos don't go viral anyway. Plus they've been talking about Klay for 2 days straight. Just FYI for anyone interested, the full details of the Larry Bird retirement story:
    "He had a clause in his contract that said, if he didn't retire by August 15th (1992), he would have an automatic renewal of his contract for $4.5 million a year. On August 12th, he came into Dave Gavitt's office, President of the Celtics, and said, 'Dave, I can't do it. My back's too bad, I'm going to retire.'
    Gavitt said to him, 'Larry why don't you think about it for a week?'
    Bird narrowed his eyes and looked at him and said, 'I know what day this is and if I'm not going to play, I'm not going to take the money'"

Toss in the insufferable "aw, shucks" hand claps while he's consistently clanking brick after brick, hanging his head while getting ravaged on the defensive end, and it's judt appalling to watch. There's no "game 6" Klay anymore. It's over. It's age. It happens. But he's never tried to improve other parts of his game, and now it's too late. Let him walk.
    Personally, I'd like to see Steph paired up with nothing but hungry young men without big egos who just love the sport as much as he does and will play hard. I dont give a shit about the owners. I dont know about you, but 100k per year is a great salary for someone who didnt get a college degree. 50mil a year tells players they can do and say and manipulate however they want. They make so much money they dont have to listen or care; they already have enough money to retire the instant they sign the contract. If you only pay them 100k, they may have to question whether they want to stop bitching and play ball, or go work at target stocking the tall shelves. They could’ve signed a FA with that money… I like Klay but those injuries turned him into T-Mac 2.0! But the Warriors were very unprofessional as an Org. Since they been pitching Klay and Curry that they were life long org players… it’s a slap in the face to resign Green and not give Klay an answer for two seasons when he could’ve signed to another team for a new contract for 2-3yrs and been stable.

    It's sad that professional athletes act like 12 yr old girls when they're gonna leave the team they've played for their entire career. Btw Klay average 18 ppg and shot 39% from 3 this season. Somehow that's trash in some people's eyes. The Warriors will regret letting him go.

    I like how NBA fans have adopted the whole "its a business" comeback when defending players getting vastly overpaid and just grabbing every dollar regardless of the impact on the team. But then if they cut that player they would get all pissy and talk about loyalty. Players will demand max contracts, vastly underperform and instead of just accepting some low ball deal to win they just take the max available the next time around. Winning clearly doesn't mean shit to these guys, so why would a team want them around.

    • @jdrmanmusiqking

    I've always wondered why NBA players get more and more money with every year they get older? I get it from 25-30, when you're supposed to be in your prime, but after 34-35? Youre getting worse and worse with yeach passing year - how is the contract structured so tou get the most money in your 37-38th year? 🤨🤔🧐

    • @stefanvasilev9318
      @stefanvasilev9318 3 місяці тому +1

      Also, I've always found Klay's borderline arrogance very unwarranted. You're a specialist, that rarely contributes in anything besides catch and shoot threes, so no, you're definitely not one of the top 75 players in NBA history, and yes, you're completely replaceable. Go see if any other team would be so dumb to offer you a max deal in your current state of play and effort.

    One entry level contract is the same as a decade or longer for regular folks, the guy who picks up trash everyday in all weather gets little more than crumbs in the grand scheme of things and without sanitation society pretty quickly gets ugly...meanwhile a game being played by babies could easily be replaced with "scab" players that would not whine about the great opportunity they have been given.

      Okay, it's business. If Thompson is acting like a diva, then how does that help his brand when he's looking for a new team and lucrative contract? It doesn't. Professional businessmen will accept their losses, adapt and come up with a new business strategy. Sure, Thompson can hoop, but he can't hoop well enough to earn the contract he wants. He should've played better this season. Show up, or sit back.
