I bought the CFN325XP model of Paslode Framing Nailer because I wanted to "cut the cord" for an extensive cedar fencing project, and in this video, I explain how to use a Paslode vs a pneumatic air framing nailer.
I also have an excellent Metabo pneumatic framer, and have used Bostitch types vs this Paslode, but I prefer the Paslode CFN325XP primarily because it doesn't require a compressor, but not everyone is the same as me.
Compare these Framing Nail Guns to find the best one for you:

So, there are very few things that bring a young man like myself unbridled joy as getting a new tool, but it's even better and I know a lot of you can probably feel me on this... it's even better to get a tool that ends up being one of your workhorse tools that you rely on and make your life better than just the shininess of having a new tool. One of my favorites and I've been meaning to do a review on this is a tool that has been around for quite a long time probably a couple decades maybe even to me it has completely replaced my compressor based framing nailer and that's the Paslode framing nailer this tool is doesn't require any air so no compressor and it runs on battery that you can recharge but it also runs on a butene butane cartridge and let me just show you this real fast sorry i'm so sweaty so um this paslode uses a butane cartridge and you basically you buy these wherever they're selling pass load
but you buy you basically buy the all season formula it's kind of the only it's kind of there's two different types but you you just get the longer one it's for the fuel and nail combo packs
you can just drop that in there and flip that down and then push that down you uh push this battery all the way in it has kind of a safety thing where where you can just kind of make it so it doesn't fall out but it's not always engaged but then to turn it on you push it in all the way and this has a charger with it and basically
you're gonna just any of you who have used pneumatic nail guns these are just collated i buy the Paslode brand to go in here.
These are just your typical framing nail length i think it's three and a quarter inch so you just snap that in there and lock it into place and it's ready to go um i'll show you what it looks like when you uh when you use it here is a little uh cedar shed that i recently upcycled from a crate that i got at a factory that they were throwing out and I just put some some cedar fence siding that I that i used in making this fence and i just cut it down and and made some siding for it um but I used this nailer and i'll show you i'll show you how it works you you push down on it that's the safety and you'll hear kind of a whine inside and it'll be really loud so you want to wear safety earmuffs and and safety glasses when you're using this thing but you just pull the trigger and basically makes this
Then it has an exhaust and you're just hearing the exhaust and you do it again you just you hear that
and then you don't ever have to worry about using a compressor again like i said this has been a really helpful tool that i bought it makes it so i don't have to have any airline going through the yard or making sure i can get to any part of the yard or we we live on an acre so it's tough to get down into the kind of the lower reaches of the yard with uh an airline and obviously you can use stuff like screws and stuff like that but um if you just wanna get you know fast and dirty with uh with framing nails then just pick up a pass load i i picked mine up at a pawn shop but if i was to do it again i would easily buy a brand new one and they run for like $350 to $400, so once you get past the sticker shock a couple months in you won't ever regret buying it hey everyone thanks for watching this video i'm going to try to review more of my tools and and other tools that i come across that have been really helpful in my building and making of things and uh if you want to see more um click on the uh the video links or subscribe so you can get notifications for when i make a new video thanks for watching.
