very smart move to rest the gun on that support and then wonder why it is scratched, couldn't you at least put something textile under it?

The grey block is made out of hard foam and is for resting guns on! I don’t think it will scratch it
      Thanks for watching!

Won't that ding up the barrel threads shooting without a choke tube?

From the test I’ve seen from the channel (Surviving Duck Season) he did slow motion tests the shot doesn’t separate from the wad till a foot or more out of the barrel , so as long the shells have a wad holding the shot it shouldn’t even touch the threads.
Also Jimmy Muller who owns Muller chock tubes says he’s done thousands of time and has never damaged the threads, he’s how I found out about doing the point of impact test from .
Now I won’t do it with buck shot since those don’t seem to have a wad around the shot pellets.
Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

@@toohdaDo you have personal experience wear it happened I’m curious ?
I definitely wouldn’t try it with buck shot , but every shell of bird shot I’ve shot has had a wad so there’s really no way I see the pellets coming in contact with the threads!
      But maybe there is
      Thanks for watching
