Tyler hi, its a rare gift from the gods and unbelievably it's message relates to every generation or person who just wants to know what the enormity of this classic album empowers on you, its very dark and compulsive listening throughout your lifetime, it perfectly encapsulates every scenario both good and bad but always truthful and how it applies itself is also mysterious and spiritual quite simply it's probably the only album that you'll ever need, I'm 61 and barely a month or less goes by when I play it because of it's immense DNA or new blood group type that keeps you stable and generates almost every solution to any problem life may present to you, it should be a part of every child's learning curriculum its that powerful and meaningful.
The big problem is that we are still thinking like people of the 19th century. Enough of Marxism and capitalism. They have also deceived us with that of "democracy", which is not the power of the people, but of politicians, companies, churches, etc. We need a radical change, like the Resource-Based Economy, like the one proposed by Jacque Fresco. There are no politicians in an EBR society, there are public administrators who are experts in what they do. They have studied administration, various engineering, mathematics, sociology, psychology, medicine, other sciences, etc., but none of them have studied political science or that thing that they now call economics and pretend it is a science, nothing could be further from the truth. And these administrators will be helped by the most advanced artificial intelligence.

Live, loud, rock was the theme of the day on April 10, 1975. On stage at the Seattle Center Coliseum was Pink Floyd, and the place was packed with all those wonderful fans who come along with such a great event. I've been to more than 200 concerts in 33 states and 4 countries, but this Wish You Were Here/Dark Side extravaganza stands as the best rock show I've ever attended.
DSOTM to me is the gold standard of albums. Every aspect of it is 100% done in such a way that I don’t think it could have been executed any better. The art aspects and the knob turning formulaic parts all came together and created a whole new element with this one. Money (песня) «Money» (рус. Деньги)- шестая композиция альбома Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon (рус.

Yeah, I may lose those memories eventually, but even knowing that might happen, if given a choice, I'd choose to keep those memories instead of being given youth without them.

I've seen this video in concerts, but never before on my own screen like this. Floyd always went out of their way to divert the audience's attention away from themselves and keep the focus on the music and lyrics-so right from the start they pushed the envelope on lights, video, and elaborate theatrical staging. This is one of the many things that's always made Pink Floyd so unique, and something I've always really loved about them. But notice in this video for "Money," a song about the evils of greed and corruption of wealth, that they INCLUDE THEMSELVES in the critique by splicing in numerous shots of their "Dark Side of the Moon" LP playing on super-expensive hi-fi equipment, and rolling down the conveyor at the pressing plant. How freaking cool is that? And how rare?! Goodness knows there's plenty to criticize about money, greed and capitalism. To borrow from Winston Churchill (who said something similar about democracy and government): capitalism is the worst way for a society to decide winners and losers... EXCEPT for all the others yet devised." People in show business (including music) are hands down *the* worst hypocrites on this, ruthlessly (and often cluelessly) dissing the exact economic system that put them in their mansions and gave them their fame. But, as this video shows, Pink Floyd-a band that preferred to stay in the shadows behind their wall, lights or multimedia-were not afraid to shine a limelight on themselves and their industry, and an unflattering one at that, to confront this hypocrisy. Does this exempt them from being labeled hypocrites themselves? I don't think so. But at least they kept it real.
I was twelve years old when I first heard this musical gem of all time. Today at 60 I hear again and I can taste in my ears the same freshness and feel the same energy that I had as a teenager! Thank you PINK FLOYD! Forever!

May not be the best solo of all time, but the grove, build up, and climax is perfection. It took me a while to really appreciate the ensemble of the music vs the lyrics.
Damn for me it comes up with about 3 songs before money by pink floyd actually appears. I like Dire Straits, but youtube is retarded, 'money for nothing' appears before a song actually titled money.
Your reply made me laugh out loud. "What have we here. . .Poetry,. . .Laddie fancies himself a poet--New Car, Caviar, 4-star daydream, 'think I"ll buy me a Football Team---Rubbish--absolute rubbish". Is that hilarious or what? I truly think that the success of the album, Dark Side of the Moon, as well as The Wall, which took this band from no place to show place, planted the seeds of their destruction--too damn bad, 'cause they were without question the best ever. I'll always Love Pink Floyd--hope you do too.
Listening to Dark Side of the Moon as a teen in 1992 it felt like punk rock. Which is bizarre. But after all those years of 4 minute pop-metal top 40 tunes, a record as brazenly obscure, rich, textured and complex as DSOTM was a subversive experience. In retrospect I think Floyd was more punk than some of the punks.

1987 & 1994
Inconfundiblee
@WayneHouck-wu5zp obvio que también xd
I don't know a lot about guitar but imo this is a vastly underrated guitar solo.
2016 and we still here! PINK FLOYD!
Yep and my husband wants me to try listening to the radio for just a minute.
+Beth Montooth when the radio is not filled with "look at all the money I have, I'm gorgeous, look at my ass, and my life is way better than yours. Then I'll listen to the radio again
+Joseph Pretorius true that
because it's a great song
2018🙋🙌
Tantos años escuchando esta música y siempre me parece que es la primera vez.
Gracias Pink Floyd!
My dad use to play me this all the time when I was around six years old onwards.
To this day 15 years later it’s still beyond awesome and the memories of us listening to Pink Floyd and other great bands…
He passed away in 2012, and now I listen to it for both of us. Thank you dad for showing me Pink Floyd, you saved me from today’s shitty music
RIP
I'm sorry for your loss
Thank you. Happy to hear that. (Well read it, you know what I mean.) 👍
a good dad he was
Sorry for your loss, my dad played this stuff for me when I was young too. It did save me from today's shit music as well
bro, I've lost my dad too, in 2008 fucking cancer , & to be honest I'm always gonna be miss him, but when I listen those kind of songs, he will be stil alive.....
sh1t 2008 has been 15 years ago ....
Zaman saya remaja..lagu lagu Pink Floyd adalah kedukaan saya & teman2 malam kumpul sambil isap gelek....Itu 53 tahun yang lalu....in the 70.
Forever!
Wonderful!
Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
Money, it's a gas
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash
New car, caviar, four star daydream
Think I'll buy me a football team
Money, get back
I'm all right Jack keep your hands off of my stack
Money, it's a hit
Don't give me that do goody good bullshit
I'm in the high-fidelity first class traveling set
And I think I need a Lear jet
Money, it's a crime
Share it fairly but don't take a slice of my pie
Money, so they say
Is the root of all evil today
But if you ask for a raise it's no surprise that they're
Giving none away, away, away
I remember this song, the whole album, from early childhood and it helped set my taste in music…the right ear candy for me lol.
I had found three Pink Floyd vinyls at my grandmother's house and I fell in love with this song when I played it 🇮🇹🇮🇹
The fact this music video was made in 1973 is fucking insane!!! its literally the best music video I've ever seen with incredible INCREDIBLE cinematography and production and they pulled this shit off in the early 70s thank you Wayne Isham (director)
May not be the best solo of all time, but the grove, build up, and climax is perfection. It took me a while to really appreciate the ensemble of the music vs the lyrics.
You know we failed as society when cardi b pops up when you type in “money” and not this masterpiece
Justin Lorenzo lmao it’s sad what music has become
Justin Lorenzo We live in a society...
What is cardi b? I do not know, I never heard, and I'm sure I'm not losing anything.
Damn for me it comes up with about 3 songs before money by pink floyd actually appears. I like Dire Straits, but youtube is retarded, 'money for nothing' appears before a song actually titled money.
Facts
What we have here poetry, the laddie conciders himself a poet
Your reply made me laugh out loud. "What have we here. . .Poetry,. . .Laddie fancies himself a poet--New Car, Caviar, 4-star daydream, 'think I"ll buy me a Football Team---Rubbish--absolute rubbish". Is that hilarious or what?
I truly think that the success of the album, Dark Side of the Moon, as well as The Wall, which took this band from no place to show place, planted the seeds of their destruction--too damn bad, 'cause they were without question the best ever. I'll always Love Pink Floyd--hope you do too.
Wroooong, do it agaaain
Sorry had to correct “considers”
@@stevewessman2757 Yes I did spot that a few days later. my apologies
I played this song for a few friends. None of them liked it. Clearly I need new friends
Dill I've seen your videos, they are great. (You have a good taste in music)
Agreed. Floyd is genius
Very clearly
@Damian Anthony Armand no
@Damian Anthony Armand And then what the hell is good?
I used to listen to this at my mates house before we went to the youth club! He bought it the first week it came out. God bless Neil, miss you man!
How to know if you're addicted to a song
1: When you start to play the base line with the strings of your pants (and get it mostly correct)
2: You also proceed to sing along
bass
I recognize my self in that comment :D
And when my next paycheck comes, im gonna buy a bass guitar.
got the guitar yet?
Ya, good idea, you can make way more money playing your bass guitar than playing your jeans.
I've got a couple,Oh if anyone invests with me,guitars are all the same three single coills or just two humbuckers!!!Led Paul said he wasn't satisfied with his guitars!!!
This is a MASTERPIECEEE!!!!
I have always loved this song..I end up crying every time it is so precious to me
Today I had my very first pay-check of my entire life. I guess there is no better way to celebrate this occurrence ♥️

No Truer Song ever wrote about the reality of the world and Life ,Now lets mention Floyd playing it .OMG How surreal and real at the same time!
⁰
just noticed that some of the lyrics on this song are the poems that the little kid wrote on the video of another brick in the wall
(0:56 and 1:16)
Well, no. It's the life of ''Pink''. Could be you, could be Me. That's the best part of it.
+Pablo Guzman Pink is supposed to be Syd Barrett the former lead singer of pink floyd.
+caden johnson Pink is based on Roger Waters and Syd Barrett.
+caden johnson Pink is a fictional character.
+Xanyban It is. I just check wikipedia about the wall, it says pink is based off Roger, Syd, and David.
as someone from a younger generation i wish they still made music like this
They really don't make em like this huh? I am a guy that used to sit on a field and spin this for hours, drinking dirt cheap beer, even cheaper weed.
Real,I love rock/prog rock(I'm also from a younger generation)
