The blade on the RS71 was designed to mirror the nose of the SR-71 Blackbird. I’m glad they upgraded the pocket clip to a milled clip. It’s a bold knife.
A bigger handle than the Frack, my at goo'ness lol. That's larty-toeing but Civivi isnt afraid to take these zany risks. Thats also great that its the guy from the RS Chaos

I appreciate the fairly often that WE Civivi be wilding like that though. Swntinel Strike, the Firestar or whatever it was, Bulltusk and Clavi are also far out designs, the snecx vision and Hypersonic are basically how a postmodern pocketknife should look heh heh

Not very big on civivi anymore. I just feel from knife to knife it varies some much in quality that you never really know what you’re getting.
QC duds? Maybe I just keep gettin lucky with the dozen or so I've gotten the Altus freakin rules and how do you even make a bad Snecx let alone sign off on a dud. I oughtta go through some customer reviews since I'm trying to think if I had even a minor nitpick with. I mean the Lazar and the Anthropos have a blade hole that's frustratingly non-flick, but design grumbles they woulda had to take up with Isham (RIP). Nozir sorry I can't think of a one
Yeah that's an anomaly in your case I'm afraid. I'd argue that most of the knife world feels that Civivi is the cream of the crop in terms of cost to quality and that it's considered odd/unlikely when someone receives a knife from them that doesn't hold up to a high standard of fit and finish. I feel like they've gotten even better overall as a brand because 2 years ago 90% of their models were cookie cutter designs with no style and each knife was hard to tell apart from the release the month prior. Now they're doing awesome designs and taking chances with different lines; we see wharnies, sheepsfoot, aggressive tantos, and even spey blades and they really seem to be listening to their customers.
Overall I feel like lack of fresh designs was their Achilles heel in the past and today that's undoubtedly different, but fit & finish and overall execution has been excellent and has really been what they're known for since they started under the WE line years ago.
I like civivi designs, what i hate is they always have poor access to the liner. Prefer cjrb for budget knives because of that even though I think civivi has better designs.
