I took 10,300 mcg of biotin (300 mcg included in a multivitamin with an additional 10,000 mcg individual softgels) daily for 5 months without fail. I do notice that my existing hair grew a little thicker and multiplied in those areas. For example, the back of my head which showed more scalp over the years is now fuller. In my opinion it is not worth taking an additional supplement of biotin. I'm now sticking to just a multivitamin with 300 mcg in it. I believe I will have more luck with biotin rich foods and a healthier lifestyle.
