Why is it a crime to grow old? Why is it something to be ashamed of, and which allows younger people to look down upon the elderly. Elderly people need our love, support and respect! Keep this up, and you will all be facing the same prejudice when you grow old!

You know what, folks? This may come as a surprise but people age. Women age. Even (gasp) movie/tv stars age. They have a right to do it. So, give them a break. Don't be mean. Personally, I wish they wouldn't go the plastic surgery/face fillers route because it always catches up with them in the end. But, it's not my face and body and not my career. They give us hours of pleasure watching them in their various projects. Let's just thank them for that and let it go at that.

Why would anyone be shocked that aging changes a person's appearance, sometimes dramatically? Fear of aging?
I have a wierd take on this. In some twisted thought process, old people die. Young people live. If you look young you won't die. I'm aware that it's not very logical, but sometimes people just aren't. Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to walk through the door that gets you there.
Glenn Close is aging gracefully.
What about aging male actors? And what about actors actresses from non English speaking countries?

Women age. But men age too. The difference is that women alow them to. We love them as they are. But men don't love us women as we are. We have to be young and thin, have make-up on, beautiful hair...If women were like men, there would be a lot of lonely people out there...(I 'm aware that I'm hust talking about heteresexual people here. I know too little about the queer society to have opinions about them).

Yes, we all age. But those of us NOT in the film industry do not have to see ourselves in scenes moving about and interacting with people when we are in our primes. Yes, we can pictures and such but it isn’t quite the same. Plus part of their access to jobs depends on their looks. So it must tempting to want to fool Mother Nature (remember that commercial? Then, you must be a bit wrinkly as well!). I agree with one commentator that those who have had work done do not fare well once they have to finally give up and stop.

It’s unfortunate how these women’s eyes appear to shrink over time. They need to be VERY careful when undergoing eye lifts & other cosmetic surgeries. Everybody gets old, if they are lucky, and our appearance changes. It seems to be viewed as a crime for women.
Weight and Botox are what makes a difference in aging for these actresses.
Thank goodness most of the actresses didn't fool themselves into thinking that Botox would keep them young forever!

Jamie Lee is a class act! Most of the ladies have handled aging very well. Shelly Duval suffers from mental illness. Such a shame, as she was lovely in her younger years. Father Time is not good to everyone!
I feel more sorry for Shelly Duval that she suffers from mental illness. That takes a hard toll on everybody.
Whomever spends their time collecting these pics might want to keep one handy, of themself - then they wont die of shock when they get to old age and realise that nothing lasts forever. Age and death are part of the cycle of life. Pretty, gorgeous and beautiful are transient but wrinkles, grey hair and worn out parts last much longer….

I had a relative who suddenly died at the age of 42, he was in perfect health. That makes me grateful for being older. That is nothing to be ashamed of.
