Sooooooo condescending. I wrote a comment before the interview ended, and now I’m a bit disgusted. I think she handled herself nicely and was very polite. It’s like now Kojo has a superiority complex. Repeating that she does not listen was sooooo rude. She answered the question. Just because she didn’t answer the way the almighty know it all Kojo wanted her to answer she doesn’t listen? She said earlier in the interview that she didn’t even remember getting into it with Justin. We can see she had multiple people coming at her. We only saw a few seconds on their interactions (while she was going at it with multiple people at the same time). Why are you so stuck on Justin? She said she was drunk, hungry, tired and felt attacked. What answer did he want from her? I didn’t even like her until this interview. You attacked her again just because you feel like you know more than her. I am highly disappointed in the way this was handled. This know it all attitude has to go….. don’t let the people in the live comments ruin you.

Kojo was influenced by the negative behavior that Alexis exhibited on the show. I still think that she's a beautiful intelligent young woman. However, Alexis should've eliminated herself once she realized that the show was scripting her in a bad light.

We can agree to disagree. I will agree that Alexis needs to handle herself better when faced with conflict or when feeling attacked. In my opinion, Kojo wanted to push her buttons to see how she would react emotionally. The interview was conducted like an interrogation towards the last 30 minutes.

Now, I can't sit here and hold Alexis accountable and not the interviewer Kojo. The interviewer sets the tone and should remain poised. I honestly didn't expect transparency from Alexis because she works in sales; most individuals in that industry have a bad habit of fast talking and ommitting the facts.
Kojo should've moved on to the next topic because he was literally beating a dead horse; his irriation with Alexis was very noticeable, lol.

Professional therapists undergo years of education, training, and supervised practice to acquire the skills necessary to help others effectively. There is also a system to hold the people in this practice accountable. Without this background, an individual might give advice that is ineffective or even harmful. Participants on this show might not be prepared for the emotional impact of discussing deep personal issues, especially in a public forum where the audience is rude and icky and here to watch the downfalls of others. Without proper support structures in place, this type of UA-cam therapy could be harmful.
The interaction where he wanted the lady to say accountability in his way was an example. It’s one thing to ask discovery questions but he wanted to label things and I’m not sure why the people who follow him aren’t able to see that this takes a certain level of skill and understanding on when to pause…he didn’t have that pause. I hope that he's trying to attract the people who are into gossip to his show in a unique way to share godly principles ...

While Kojo, like most effective TV interviewers, utilize the same skills & engage in similar conversations as therapists, he isn’t a therapist. TV interviewers must be great listeners, ask good questions, & know how to digest & analyze the responses of the interviewees. Most importantly, he must know his audience, read their questions, & provide them with most of the information they want.

May I offer another critique coming from a place of goodheartedness: To me, You and your Super panel can come off as a bit "Superior" at times and less loving and more Judgy. I watched early on when you used to have Maria S. and others on and I didn't feel that way when I watched back then. I enjoyed viewing it more then than I do now. I tend to switch off or not view it in its entirety nowadays. Maybe you can switch the format or panelists from time to time, drop the word super, add more personal anecdotes or even a little humor. Take a poll of your viewing audience to see how they feel I might be an outlier.

As a Psychologist and Psychotherapist in the UK, this is not an accurate description of therapy. The therapists role is to provide the individual with unconditional positive regard (unwavering acceptance) and provide a supportive and stable frame to contain the individuals feelings in safety. Alexis’ reflections at the end were thought provoking but not able to be received at this point. I pray the Holy Spirit may bring it back to one’s remembrance in due course.

I’ve been watching Kojo’s interviews for a while, and they are becoming hard to watch. It’s seems that he’s becoming more arrogant. Before it felt like he was trying to understand people’s point of view, but now it feels like he wants to drive his points. It’s like he’s learning how to become a therapist and now he knows more than everyone else. I understand that some of these people may be delusional, crazy, unaccountable, etc. however, watching you get combative with them is very uncomfortable to watch. It’s like he wants them to admit whatever, and he’ll keep pushing them to say whatever he wants them to say. The audience isn’t stupid, we often see what he sees, he doesn’t need to do this. Also, CWay, whom I used to love, is also getting soooo negative in the comments ( also when she’s live commenting on other bloggers interviews). It’s becoming too much. Before I wound watch a panel without CWay, I still probably wouldn’t, but the live comments are just so mean. It’s like they are becoming bullies. I’m still going to try to support. I put your videos that I don’t care to watch on at night to fall asleep to just so you can get the spin (because I do like y’all, especially Sean). Kojo, I really enjoyed this interview with Alexis. I commend her for being so open and sharing her background and experiences on the show. I always find your perspectives to be eye opening for so many reasons. As a supporter of yours who is rooting for you, and as someone who is on a journey to becoming a licensed social worker, I can agree with Alexis’ friend with the “therapist” question. I can tell you educate yourself well but what I find is missing is knowing when to move on. Some people are not ready or have not had enough of a reason in their lives to dig as deep as you want to go. A seasoned licensed professional would have pivoted a few times during this interview or switched up techniques. You cannot force someone to see or grow beyond where they are. You have to meet them where they are, or you can quickly lose trust, or credibility in their eyes. Most people struggle opening up in a safe environment meant to encourage the discussion of challenging topics such as in a therapist’s office, let a lone an interview on the internet where we know there is no protection against hateful comments or antagonists. That can actually be more harmful to someone who may already be struggling, and it can create more hostility. Again as a supporter and viewer I enjoy watching these interviews and I want to see more of the RTL cast members come on and share because I do find your style to be helpful to your community, but you would have to build that trust not just with them when you interview but even in all the Super Panels and other commentary. Saying this with love and I hope it’s received that way❤

She said that the way she handled it was wrong meaning that her aggressiveness was the wrong way to have handled the situation. At first Justin was seated and then he got up when she turned to speak with Meika. So he did get up and I think when Kojo was asking the question she went to that. Feedback: Limiting the live chat to members only can be seen as a form of censorship, serving as a cautionary tale. If the intention is to prioritize member participation, a clearer approach would be to host a members-only live session and subsequently publish the replay for wider access.
Kojo, for instance, is receiving heavily curated live feedback that may be biased in favor of members, who likely already align with the page's perspectives. This bias could limit the diversity of perspectives and potentially deter new subscribers who may feel excluded from engaging in the live discussion.

Kojo may not be a professional, but he is often spot on with his analysis of people. It rubs people the wrong way because they’re in denial and/or lack self-awareness and are afraid to be real with themselves. The only thing, with this interview that I will say could have been done differently, was that he could/should have moved on when Alexis was not open to hearing his perspective. As someone who has been to therapy and is an experienced healthcare provider, I was a bit uncomfortable watching this interview and others.
Interviewers should avoid projecting their experiences and trauma onto others, use the right approach, and ask the right questions. This way, the interviewee feels safe and not judged, and the interviewer can get the information they need to conduct a proper assessment. Kojo, It would also be great if you become familiar with the term "countertransference" because it blocks the ability to understand the person fully and can cause frustration, as shown by Alexis and many of Kojo's recent guests on the show.

For everyone in the comments--every person has rage and anger inside everyone does.
Also everyone has some past trauma could be from childhood or from a specific event that happened to them. No one should be antagonized for showing up a certain especially when they have been poked and prodded.

Has anyone had a child/children and they truly showed you who they are shortly after being born or within the first couple of years?(If that long) Stubborn, adventurous, passive, compliant, defiant, sensitive, anxious, daredevil, determined, curious, introverted, extroverted, calm, have a temper, bold, and the list goes on and on. We all have different personality traits. We all have areas that we need to work on and lessons to be learned. Some may have a hot temper, but others may need to be pushed to speak up for themselves. We are all on our own journey to grow in whatever area we need to grow in. No one is perfect, God knew what he was doing. Some will get it and others will go to the grave the same way they came here.
In my opinion it's not always childhood trauma or a bad upbringing that causes us to be who we are as adults.
My heart goes out to those who did go through trauma, or grew up in unfavorable conditions, because yes that will affect us as adults if not healed. Even with that, have you seen where one sibling will be motivated by it to do better and another sibling is 60 and still can't get over it? That's because you are handling it according to who you are. I'm not condoning her behavior on the show, but I'm sure she was one who did not take any mess from others when she was a toddler. Lol. A toddler can snatch a toy from another toddler and they will cry, take it from another and they will bite you. All three children have completely different temperaments. Just like she said, it's not a direct reflection on how she was raised. Sounds like she has a beautiful support system around her.

Kojo, Alexis stated @ the beginning of this conversation, she operates in her light and dark energy. She's brave enough to admit it.

I believe she's apologized and taken accountability.

Thank you Alexis, just take care of yourself titi. That’s exactly what Justin did , he had no business telling her to shut the F up, stop running your mouth. That was because Alexis told Meka she didn’t respect her.
I am totally disappointed in production.
I think when the recording came up and you found out you didn’t really have a deeper connection you should have left on your own. That’s exactly what Lylain did.
Kojo thank you for staying up that late. It was a great interview.

I don’t believe production providing alcohol and not supplying enough ‘edible’ food should’ve been a factor in why she was inconsolable or uncontrollable. Alexis chose to drink alcohol for hours and on an empty stomach. There was no accountability for the fact that she chose to drink, no one made her. Anyone who watched the reunion from beginning to end could see she was already turnt-a little too turnt. And her choosing to drink all day was not going to be conducive to an already heightened tense reunion.

Although some of Alexis' behavior at the reunion was wrong, she made an EXCELLENT point regarding how Bloggers over analyze cast members from different shows. I've watched some of the panels opinions and they're as if they personally know these people. I'm thinking, how would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot? You guys judge people from shows that you obviously know are edited for entertainment but run with the narrative as if it's the gospel truth. And then when someone tries to explain their side, you hardly hear what they have to say because your mind is already made up about that person based off the edited shows that you watch. Again, you don't personally know these people so stop making harsh judgements about them as if you do. I'm so glad Alexis brought this up because it needed to be addressed across the board with these panelists. Alot of them have their own personal skeletons that they're dealing with but it takes the attention off of them and put it on others. That's my view and I'm sticking to it!!!

After seeing Alexis, Jonathan, Laron, & other RTL cast members become drunk & out-of-control each season, the RTL team should see the need to serve less alcohol & more food to minimize the potential for verbal, sexual, or physical abuse & lawsuits.

Also she is right she experienced it and we cannot tell her what she experienced. I believe that Laron was in her face because at one point in the shot which was edited (because in the next shot Laron was shown sitting down with his suit jacket on), Laron had his suit jacket off walking from her. So Laron was in her face and Meika was making comments because she was alsready making comments when it wasn’t her segment. And then for Justin to say shut the f up and stop talking she would have felt ganged up on. Not saying her reaction and aggressiveness was right and she has control over her emotions but it is understandable that she got angry.

Grace, kindness, compassion, empathy, was few far and in between. Will’s call in and now Alexis’ interview, man, I’m not going to lie, it made me tear up. A lot of our comments are out of concern. You and the panel can be very harsh at times and it’s painful. Sometimes I have to take a break from your discussions.
