Banned from Wookies in The Woods...oh well

There's no need for this video except for all of the comments and emails I'll get next year from people in this community asking if I'll be joining. This should clarify why I can't make it. I'm really sorry. I stand by my intent to not allow a for-profit company to use my copyright content to profit. It's not a disrespect to WITW. I take action against all copyright infringement, even friends and family. If you think everything uploaded to the Internet is fair-game to be stolen, don't bother arguing as your views don't align with USA Federal laws on Copyright. WITW may be a family and peace & love but you guys have to keep in mind that downloading something, altering it and re-uploading as yours without attribution is illegal. That's all there is to it and I will defend my copyright work. No amount of goodwill or charitable giving by WITW will sway my views of this.

Wow. I'm not exactly inclined to attend WITW next year. I doubt that you put this video up with the intent to disparage them, but I'm not encouraged to support an organization that can't respond professionally to very simple copyright laws. I think that people often assume that content on the internet is free, not owned by anyone, and they can do with it what they want.

WiTW Removed the Video so there's absolutely no issue anymore. They complied upon my request w/o any delay. I'm happy with that outcome. Not being invited back was surprising but obviously I'll avoid Tail of The dragon in April going forward but will still make my own trips solo. The issue of "everything on the internet is free" is not limited to this group. My photos & videos are stolen on a daily basis. It's a constant job to issue take-down notices. I think WITW may have taken my request personally. It's not. I've asked my own mother to not steal my content w/o using my water-marked version if it's posted publicly (outside of family on Facebook). Once one non-watermarked image gets out there, I've lost control on the media and it's no longer easy to enforce copyright.
