Air Dance is my favorite off of never say die bill does a great syncopated time signature groove on the outro of the song on the hihat and Ziljan Rhyde Cymbal!
Phenomenal! Criminally underrated album. BTW I was down at the Century Room in Tucson (a fantastic jazz club fyi) and my wife and I were chatting in between sets outside with the manager and a drummer that came by to watch his buddies play. He asked where we were from and then asked if I knew you, George. I asked why does that name sound familiar to me and he brings up this channel! So you have at least one fan in Tucson :-). Also he taught lessons in my original hometown in NY - what a small world.
Wow! A Never Say Die track! It’s like we’re long lost friends. I know you’re from a thousand miles away, but it’s like we grew up together. I suppose in a sense we did. Man what a band we would’ve had! I’ll try my hardest not to cry.😄
@@Major7Melodious lol, yeah sometimes it's like that when it comes to common taste. I've always loved that album since I was a teenager even though it was somewhat underrated and criticized
@ It’s funny. I’ve literally lived just down the street from Bill Ward’s house here in Seal Beach. You have no idea how many times I’ve stood behind the guy and wanted to loose a few lines from Swinging the Chain. But why bother the guy at home right? Just keep quiet and do my little Air Dance.😉
What a great development. You (me) really love the swinging 70’s drummers. I heard that Bill Ward doesn’t remember much about the studio making of this record. I think it’s some of his best. Johnny Blade next?
No one does it better than you George! I’d love to see you cover Strange Kind of Women (live version) or glad all over by Jeff beck. Been loving the uploads keep it up
@@BONHAMOLOGY I've seen that with some Paistes. they have a sound and volume envelope and can't escape it. 2002s don't have that from my experience, they can have a more varied sound. Some others like 602s can be a little lifeless and not respond to more force. Not a bad thing.
For your information this song is about Ozzie's dad dying that year, Ozzy wrote it for his dad if you listen to the lyrics it makes perfect sense. I bought this album when it came out when I was a teenager ✌️

Very Nice!
Im 55. You play the classics of my youth like nobody's business!
Can’t believe you did this song, one of my favorites
Excellent! Bill Ward is a favorite + great tune choice
Perfection! Awesome feel, Bill Ward is criminally underrated. Thanks! 🤟
🤡
No he isn't.
Top 3 Sabbath songs. Such groove. Well done brother! Love the set too. And the room.
Woooah fludy you're blessing the world with this one. Being from Toronto this record has a special feeling to it
Air Dance is my favorite off of never say die bill does a great syncopated time signature groove on the outro of the song on the hihat and Ziljan Rhyde Cymbal!
Awesome job! Such an under appreciated album! Discovered it at 13 and loved it
Ward and Bonham both played with such a great groove and aggression. Must be something in the water in Birmingham.
@@robertortago8336 Yeah it's like an accent!

Thanks a lot, Earl!
Great you nailed it and those fills ...Happy Holidays
Great way to stay warm now that it’s getter cold here in Chicago. Always enjoy watching and listening to your videos. Happ y Thanksgiving
Love the sound of your snare it cuts right through the music. Have that same shirt got it the 80s with a Ludwig drum set.
👍🏼👍🏼
That Paiste ride is interesting. Such a consistent sound, but almost constraining. It doesn't open up but still sounds good.
That's true, it's almost like it has a ceiling

@@Marine_Ret Thank you!
nobody can really do what Bill Ward does. his feel and touch are subtle, but without it Sabbath never sounds right
Great stuff! Please do Johnny Blade!
Good song choice and cool kit
Very nice George. This track is among my most favorite ones from this album. I love that groove.

Sounds great! Bill Ward is a beast!😂
Sounds terrific. Is that the 2002 or GB ride? Smooth as silk. Actually looks like a 602!

John Bonham, Ian Paice and Bill Ward are my favorite drummers. But I like more early Sabbath.

Symptoms of the universe and The wizard. Also great drum grooves awesome playing Geo !!
Wow very cool tune. Great jam George. Thanks.
