I don’t even have to watch I can tell if it’s being played on a Ludwig vintage 3ply maple today’s 7ply maple don’t have that same unique sound. Great job both buying and playing.
Awesome sound! Great playing too! You manage to get a lot of the Bonhamisms that many of the other so called Bonham experts seem to miss! A lot in those grace notes! And your right foot doubles sound pretty blazing too!!
Amazing playing! Amazing talent. Luv how you built up the speed in the beginning. Beautiful kit! Please do more video tutorials with a cam on your rabbit foot! Can’t believe it took this long for YT’s algo to serve this up. Cheers mate!
ALOT of awesome going on here man -- just a few: that left foot/ the triplet burst culmination/ green sparkles/ all that gear mounted to the bass drum/ vintage swiss alloy (presumed)/ tuning sound/ that forearm speed - man I could watch this everyday!
Great solo man! You sounded so much like JB. In my ears the recording sounded a little 'muddy' and the snare was tuned just a tad low (but that could be cos of the sound recording). Other than that, thanks for posting, you did an awesome job.
Love the sound of the kit. I spent 10 years combing every online site, music store and local ad piecing a 3ply kit together. Ended up with a bunch of drums. 14"×26", 16"×24"(6ply shell, only non 3ply shell I own.) 10"x14", 12"x15", 14"×15", 16"×16", 18"×16" 6.5" x 14" Supraphonic, 5"×14" tequila sunrise vistalite snare, 24" 20" 2002 Black label rides, 16"thin,16"crash, 18" med, 18"hvy, 20" thin, med, hvy crashes 15" sound edge hihats, all black label 2002 bronze. I have a couple redlabel 18 & 20 crashes and a few 2000 C.S & Rudes. Your playing is great. Mind sharing what drumheads top/reso you use. What tightness of tuning and microphone? I keep experimenting with sounds and like the sound of yours. Thanks!!!
Very nice Bonham style solo. Sounds a lot like the 1970 Earls court solo from how the west was won, I’m guessing that’s what you were striving for. Well done loved it
Yes I have dvd since it came out love it. I believe the how the west was won was neither Earls court or Los Angeles but was actually 1970 royal Albert hall
Roll was a bit fuzzy, singles and seperation was fast and no rim ticks,a score of 93.7,very nicely done, you got 1st place.Try not to drop your sticks, that took off 2points.But overall a great performance.
This was just a test. we used and iPhone, two mic and GarageBand on the Mac. Just a little reverb. To be honest, its just really good drums that are turned well. These are 1970, 3ply Vintage Ludwig gear and vintage preserial giant beat
Greenhouse Project i’m such a huge bonham fan. if you wanna check out my instagram it’s @ben_bustamante i would love to have this kit so bad. it’s my dream kit. i’ve studying john bonham since i started playing. i’m 16. i’m in a band. and i would totally use this kit to gig with if i had it man
Nice work, I couldn't help but notice a stick tried to jump out of your hand. What cha do is threaten it with a wood chipper or a fireplace. Like you say before the next vid, hey, do you want me to feed you to the wood chipper? Like that. And it'll never happen again, you have to use phycology.
@@bonhamgear To my knowledge and close up photos / 15" sound edge hats where ours man's choice of hats to wear, I do believe (at least live) I will ask Baba

Amazing stuff mate is that 42 strand snare wires and emperor coated on your 402
The Vintage 402 6.5" x 14" Snare came with 20 Strand Snares. Thats what we are using. Bonham didnt add the 42 strand until later in his playing
