Only play Pokémon with my nephew, but the retro format looks so much more fun. It’s much simpler and more strategic, instead of just explosive. Obviously it would be better with a variety of decks, but seeing the OG meta mirror match for the first time is awesome.
Retro is a joke but a simpler format would be a nice change of pace from time to time.. There might be a healthy middle ground in the sets that came a few years later.
Things got better once fossle an Rocket came out, we actually got some cool strats take hold Like like Dark Vileplue, D.Dragonite. Would love to see early decks like those VS a Today deck.
They should make a investment on the online TCG, the app is only compatible with tablets. Maybe they don't want to make the game too accessible, so fans keep buying actual cards. Is this compatible with the world we are living?
There are rumors they are updating the online app! Apparently it has a new name on some of the newer cards coming out, not sure what they are changing exactly but hopefully we'll get some much needed updates :)

You can evolve a Pokémon once it has been in play for one turn. You can also evolve as many Pokémon you want as long as they're on your bench or in battle. (And have been in play for one full turn.)

Seeing that holo Hitmonchan brought back lots of memories. that was my favorite card in the deck.
I've never heard someone describe the 90s version as the wild west where anything goes. To me the modern Pokemon TCG looks like pure madness.

I’d suggest checking out Omnipoke, Celio’s Network, AzulGG, Tricky Gym, Zach Lesage, or LittleDarkFury for a tom of deck profiles and gameplay :)
