Best Metal drummer ever in history, period
ONE of the best, although he is not the first (i.e. motorhead "Ace of Spades) key " Godfather of speedmetal double bass) I admire his stamina for playing like that all gig long.

I doubt it…it amazes me to think about the brain power one got to in order to command your hands and feets to hit everything so hard, insanely fast and air tight at the right moment, so many many times.
Its art at highest level if you ask me.
I believe he was one of foundings of Slayer, he really became my favourite drummer after hearing/seeing them live with their amazing hits like «Hell awaits, Black magic and Antichrist» and of course every single «song» on «Reign in blood» which is also my favourite album in that genre
The two songs (feels weird calling it songs..) «Postmortem and Raining blood» kind of belongs together and l have seen mr. Lombardo played them with the camera exclusive on him, it was utter fantastic explosive physical performance.
Naw, that was just my humble oponion regarding Dave Lombardo, the greatest drummer of all time who l have seen live

Everything dave plays on the drums wether its ludwig or tama he plays with conviction ..hes always on time with those big cymbal crashes .behind those big tom rolls he hits but i really love the way he works the kick bass he can mix up the single and double pedal ..he can be going a nice single pedal beat and out of nowhere rolls in with that double bass he makes sound so dark ..theres definitley only one dave lombardo ..

Antarctic Vortex u know 50 is not all that old lol long as u keep at it, only thing is if u got out of shape u should be blasting till at least 60 then things slow down tempo power ect my opinion
Grip inc.'s first album will be 30 year old next year, I hope it gets re-released hopefully with some kind of bonuses in it.
