Also can be voltage regulator. I had the same problem. Alternator works well 14V, but voltage regulator makes short voltage drops on 11V and it pops out all kinds of lights..I replaced whole alternator, cz voltage regulator is built in part and everything works like it should be..Also bad VR gonna drain your battery even if car is in the move..
Heard about it. There is a block of alternator operating command center. It will switch off forcefully alternator if it thinks that battery is full and no other hard tasks that require a lot of electricity is placed. So the battery is drained before you know it. The video was 12 minutes and I watched only 6, so how the guy fixed that is still in youtube to finish watching for me in that another video. It’s in russian language from guy lives in USA. E claw w212.
Also, are you supposed to use the memory saver thing? is that required?

my batteries are dead and the blade key doesnt work how can i get into the trunk og my e200 w211 2003 to change the main battery. I charged the auxiliary battery and it was showing 13.8 so i put it on but no power to the car. I am gonna buy a new one tomorrow to see if its the battery. Any ideas on what be wrong. I checked the fuses and everything is ok. Dont know if there is a way i could send power to the main or jump start the car.

Thanks for you reply. I managed to get the car running. The batteries are new and the alternator is fine but the red workshop light wont go away. I have no error codes. just the red workshop light

What if you charged the main (Trunk) battery and got a new Auxiliary battery and it’s still giving error and draining battery
If a red error, then this is due to the small battery
Amazing Road TV I got a new Auxiliary battery from FCP euro but it’s still showing the red after the car died which was caused by me not moving it for 2 days

Amazing Road TV yes I did changed the small battery , bought it brand new. Everything worked perfect but there was a time I didn’t move it for 2 days I came to the car and it was dead. Once I jump started the red battery symbol came out with the letters saying “Battery protection convenience functions temporarily unavailable “

Mine currently shows (black background, white text): "Low battery convenience functions temporarily unavailable"
I've also seen time to time when I turn the car off quickly a red warning comes up about the battery/alternator - this only happens if I remove the key quickly..and maybe once every 2 months.
