After a months-long tour in the US, the world-famous Candy Dulfer will be back in her own country in November. She immediately kicks off with a series of spectacular concerts with two fantastic American artists as special guests: SHELBY J. and trumpeter PHILIP LASSITER.
SHELBY J.
Shelby Johnson, better known as Shelby J., is a great American singer/songwriter who has worked closely with her mentor and world star Prince. Other top artists with whom she collaborated are celebrities such as D'Angelo, Roy Hargrove, Mary J. Blige, Carlos Santana and Anthony Hamilton.
As a powerhouse vocalist, she excels with her fantastic stage presence, bringing the very best of the funk, gospel, soul and Prince repertoire. Be surprised by the phenomenal Shelby J.!
PHILIP LASSITER
This trumpeter, keyboardist, singer and arranger who - like Candy - played with Prince for many years, including as arranger of his legendary New Power Generation brass section, is going to blow the roof off!
Lassiter won no fewer than eleven Grammy Awards for his work with other big names such as Ariana Grande, Timbaland, The Isley Brothers, Roberta Flack, Kelly Rowland, Mono Neon and many others. With his energetic live shows, he is now a welcome guest at world-famous festivals all over the world. This summer he and his band turned the largest hall of the North Sea Jazz Festival upside down.
Philip and Candy have worked together before. The saxophonist was a guest on his Live in Amsterdam album and together they wrote the fun anthem PERSPECTIVE for her latest album WE NEVER STOP.
