While Alesi didn't help himself by running wide at the 4:50 mark letting Hakkinen back past again, the irony is that Mika was actually going quite quickly in the closing stages and actually set a faster race lap than Jean. Incidentally, I still think the pivotal moment of this race was when Hill ran wide after passing Schumacher much earlier, as had he not done so, the race could have panned out very differently, where he may have been ahead of Alesi after the Ferrari's single stop, so no collision and so on.

For me it's 1998 and 1997 because the car isn't the best. And he arrived to play the world championship just at the end of season
