For me the speech is very simple..You are not prepared at all for a great singer/artist of high level and quality and for a phenomenal genius that is also the most versatile singer in existence and in history..And he's absolutely capable to transmit emotions more than any other singer on the planet..And actually Dimash is undoubtedly for many various right reasons the best singer, artist, vocalist, performer, and showman of the planet..Is just that Dimash's high level is too much for you and is not the right singer for you,and is better for everyone also for you that you leave Dimash and don't react more him..For people like you are better singers and music of more low level and quality..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever

There are so many amazing performances of Dimash. If anyone wants to get to know this extraordinary artist, then this video is not very enlightening. The happiest day of my life was when September 12th of 2001. It was the day I realized something big enough to sink the Titanic and end this song had FINALLY happened. Dimash does a fantastic job with this song... the problem is it's still this song. For me the core flaw of great singers is that because they're such fantastic singers, everything is structured around them and the backing music suffers. Like I know YOU couldn't say it because you promised not to joke, but would it be so much to ask for JUST ONE sick guitar riff or a dope bassline to tie this shit together?

Thank you for reacting mark. Even if you didn’t like the song or his version. I don’t think anyone has a problem with jokes. - Just a certain kind of joke. 😂
Not liking the song - I understand - since that song reminds me of that stupid scene in the film, with the sappy goodbye, where leo didn’t even try to join her on that big piece of wood and preferred to sink. 😩
And Celines voice was never my favorite as well. 😅 (Sorry Celine and Titanic fans - just saying this, so he can better understand what I mean in the next paragraph 😅)
But I have no problem listening to the Dimash version. 😊 He actually makes me like the song much better (even though I prefer basically all of his other songs) - to me he conveys much more emotion. And his voice is so clear and pleasant. ❤
He was able to sing like this, even though he was very young back then and spoke no English. So he had to learn everything phonetically.
He also places the impressive techniques at the appropriate place in the song. His choices are never random. ❤
Now he even got better at this skill of arranging a song. Maybe he had more to prove when he was younger. But even back then you could clearly hear the difference between his choices and other singers, who try to prove their ability non-stop and never think of dynamics or a proper build-up of the song.
Maybe you could react to his newer songs, just to see where he is now (eg Join Hands with Wei Wei) and then go back to compare. He already was unbelievable back then. But he even got better. 😳

I’ve been thinking about it since I recorded it, trying to figure out my problem. And to me, it basically comes across as a very good X factor audition. Which is totally fine, honestly, but it tells me nothing about who he is as an artist. So my plan is to react to one of HIS songs. I think that will help me to better understand him and his motivations etc. As much as his voice is undeniably fantastic, at this point it feels too performative rather than coming from his very soul, and that’s the kinda shizz that gets me going!

After watching and listening carefully to some of his performances, I’ve come away with it takes far more than an extraordinary voice to be a great singer, there’s gotta be heart, soul, passion and a love for music. Here I hear a poor soul pushed into a life of preforming for his parents, having nowhere to go, just keeps on using his gift to keep on singing without real passion or heart of a real performer.
(Sorry to those fans, but it’s what I’m seeing)

    • @EllaSilentDragon
      @EllaSilentDragon 9 місяців тому +1

If you have a child - try forcing them to do anything- and they will maybe do it (or more commonly they won’t). But not any more than they have to. 😉
Dimash on the other hand chose this himself. He was surrounded by music all his life, but that wasn’t enough for him. He always wanted more.
I read somewhere, that he can write scores for orchestra. That would make him one of a handful of people on the planet, that are able to do that. He not only sings, but plays 7 instruments, has several university titles and composes many of his songs.
And his siblings were allowed to choose their own path as well.
Look at his reactions, when he notices other singers. His attention immediately snaps to them and he listens intently.
The man is what I think of when I think artist. Not just a singer.
When people don’t like a technically good singer it’s often because there really is no emotion conveyed, or they don’t like the song, or they have a problem with the tone of their voice. Then it’s difficult to hear the emotion. This happens to me with many other singers, people have an emotional reaction to and I don’t.
As for Dimash - for me the emotion is clearly there. Most of us feel it. ❤ (Some songs - like this one might have less - but others make me sob - repeatedly)
Maybe he is not for you, and that’s ok. But on the emotion-part - I strongly disagree! 😜

I think first of all its a matter of taste and personal perception. Mark is reacting personally to a song and telling his honest thoughts. Of course some people might not be happy about that.
But don't not confuse taste with intelligence.
My opinion: Dimash might be a good singer and yes, he is ... concerning many criteria, i think. But for me (FOR ME!!!) the two songs I know right now feel like a showcase for his voice and not for the song. His voice sounds good but does not always build a whole good song.
That is my feeling but I respect anyone who likes his songs
It's important and absolutely great that people have different tastes. That's why it's always important for both sides to understand that these are personal opinions, even if you don't always say so (a reaction is exactly that: a personal opinion).
