Great Video that does the car justice. I recently sold my own beloved Maserati Quattroport Sport GTS. It was a perfect family car and my daily driver. I miss it every day! But I didn't want to bring a RHD from the UK to my new home in Spain. Great memories. It's a car that everyone loves, you get waves and smiles as it is not 'flash' and can hear it coming from a mile away. You can cruise at 99mph at under 3000 rpm. It has plenty of rear legroom for 2 growing teenagers. You can also fit 4 carry on cases in the boot. I never had an issue in my ownership regarding reliability. I put on 10,000 miles in a year and loved every one of them! It does eat tyres though. I also had to replace all of the brake pads and discs which was a tad pricy, but that is wear and tear. The only people that resent it are the 'Daily Mail readers' who drive Audi's, BMW's and Benz's who would love one but rather than be pleased for you and your success they hate you with envy as they are no longer the most superior car on the road. If you can, buy one. Prices of Sport GTS' have been on the climb ever since the Harrys Garage review in Dec 2019 but £30-£35k for a super-saloon that is essentially a 4 door Ferrari.
I've had a QP GTS and later a GranTurismo S. These cars were so brilliant, never had issues, fantastic sound, beautiful. And then Maserati released the new models...end of story.
Great to listen to someone confident enough to not be a fawning, car company bootlicker. Your willingness to drive anything and let the experience define your conclusion rather than trends is a welcome and much appreciated thing. Cheers from Australia
It looks terrible. Headlights are tiny and look like the first gen Z4's. The grille is boring and generic. The side vents look like an aftermarket addition. The shoulder line droops making it look like it's sagging or melting in the middle. The rear lights look like they're off a Daewoo Nubira. It's a bloody shocker frankly.
On that rare occasion I see a QP at the lights I switch off my radio, roll down the window and wait for the concerto. But yeah, electric cars will be great as well. 😭

The entire car was built and designed by Ferrari then they put Maserati badges on it. It's it greatest and worst strength because Ferrari would never give it the power to properly complete.
Probably the most affordable, best sounding, most classy 4 door saloon out there. Hell, even then 2 door GranTurismo is sort of affordable, if you compare it to its rivals! Currently in the market for either the 4.7 equipped Maser 2 door or a well-driven 550.
@@tommymo4357 A close relative of mine bought a Ghilbi (even though I told him not to) and whilst yes it was interesting to drive. Quattroporte was always a poster car for me growing up. I hope I'll pick up a cheap example one day. A friend of mine bought a part ex 535d off a used maserati specialist, and he said that the chassis on this was disappointing and that the gransport was a much better car. But that's not enough to put me off this gorgeous machine.
Actually, many bimmers (n55 powered, s55 powered and a lot of older cars) are quite reliable. I bought a 2012 335i M Sport Coupe because it was well priced and had a manual. 2 years later, it has cost me the same as a Civic Si to own.
BMW parts are the most expensive of any mainstream high volume manufacturer. You just think of a realistic price and multiply in by eight and you'll get the BMW price.
Every drop of fuel going into that engine is a blessing of god.

Both BMW and Maserati have their advantages and disadvantages. Best to just get both if one is able to, so enjoyment can be had with the best of both worlds.
Quattroporte was always a poster car for me growing up. I hope I'll pick up a cheap example one day. A friend of mine bought a part ex 535d off a used maserati specialist, and he said that the chassis on this was disappointing and that the gransport was a much better car. But that's not enough to put me off this gorgeous machine.
the sound of an engine like this is something electric cars will never replicate.
I'm a BMW owner and Ive wanted one for 8 years. Someday I will get one...
BMW Owners: "wow that's a moneypit!"
@@skimmingstoness firsthand I can tell you that that is wrong. I put bosch parts in my car and pay maybe 5% more per part than you would on a honda.
0:41. . . check out that crazy door panel gap. Me and my drum tight '03 BMW 530i Sport will never part ways!
They’re only money pits above 60k miles! They’re the ultimate lease machine unless you want to learn how to work on some of their many problems.
Amazing design and amazing sound!
Always loved these.
