Completely understand and agree with everything you have said. I have recently deleted UA-camrs that constantly use negative click bait. Or moan and winge all the time. We like genuine UA-camrs bringing useful advice, tips, and love to their channels. Stay as you are, genuine. We do like to do the same stay positive and truthful.

So frustrating, in the last year we have worked hard to try to build our channel and we didn’t even know this kind of thing went on … YT should do something about it and at least about people buying subs🤦♀️ we get comments about being genuine and I hope it continues that way, we are just normal people vlogging our travels for our children and families to see.. and a way of making memories for us. Unfortunately I suspect UA-cam turns a blind eye as it fuels the growth of the platform overall. The fact that you can pay UA-cam to push your videos speaks volumes. Just keep chipping away at your channel. You will have something that money can’t buy - pride 😊 thanks for watching and commenting

Did our first pub stop in Kendal a couple of weeks ago. They only wanted us to buy a drink but 4 of us had a meal. Treated to the aurora in the evening.....honest, it wasnt the wine 😅😅😢

I live in a van and don't make videos, but most of these "misleading titles" you described have actually happened to me. I wish they didn't 😂. Maybe you have good luck or just lead sheltered lives
I know it is sad. I think there is a big difference between the Hobbyists and those running their channel as a business. Like all businesses its accepted that you have to invest to get a return, It's just frustrating that no one is transparent when they do it.
You can tell the channels that have cheated to get views as the content is usually pretty poor. In contrast a channel I watch a lot suddenly had a video go viral and has 35K subs now so there are a few genuine success stories, rate my takeaway being another but yes on a whole I take a lot of these van life videos with a pinch of salt. Hands up we did use the dogging thing in one of ours (our most watched video lol) but in fairness we did actually film the dogging. Hope you are both well. Chris
The standard of video usually tells who is genuine and who isn't. The other thing that gives the game away is when peaks and troughs don't match up. Some channels will get a huge influx of subs (usually a round number like 1000) on a day where there is no vast uptake in their views. Thanks for watching, hope you are both well too 😀
I've started to turn off channels now that I really liked before ,bored of some of the constant crap and clickbait .will be good having dog friendly places
Yep, seen way too many channels where the person pretends they run into some danger or trouble every time they park. It only takes a couple of videos before you realize that person is full of poop. Could you get one or two knocks a year if you're not careful? Yes. But every night? No. Could you have a scary run in with some punk kids once in a blue moon? Obviously. But every other stop? Nah, not unless you camp in the slums. Just stop the garbage and make some decent content and people will watch.
I have just subscribed because I totally agree with the direction you want to take. I’m so fed up of the negativity. I want to see you having fun and inspiring me. I think the algorithm just promotes the negativity 🤷🏼♀️

Great vlog and totally honest. We try so so hard and get disheartened when you see other channels getting 1000s of views. We have been approached by people offering us help with Thumb nails SEO but to be honest we don't mind plodding along. We arent in this for freebies (though we have had a Vantrue Dashcam sent! ) We do this so we can share our journeys.... People like Drama but we aren't into cluck bait! Thanks again for sharing 😊

Three years or so and I’m just knocking on 800 Subs. The Channel isn’t about money or glamour it’s about transferring 30 yrs of Caravanning and helping others.
