Cruisin' Daytona Beach 1988

I was 21 yrs old and in the ARMY back then! First Spring Break I’d ever been to in April, or May 1988 that MTV sponsored...Those truly were “The good ole days!!”

i miss the 80s! Was in Daytona Beach in '80 and '82. I remember frequenting Big Daddy's, the band was called Quickstep, and I had a crush on one of the band members named Emi 🤣

I was born in Daytona Beach 46 years ago. Daytona is not the Daytona I knew. The boardwalk used to be two solid levels of fun, you used to be able to drive anywhere on the beach-free of charge, there weren’t so many casinos there, and it was so much more family oriented. It breaks my heart to see Daytona now. I haven’t been there in over five years and do not care to go back.

Driving a Iroc Z28 Camaro in 1988 was the 💩 in that era! Fuel injected model with manual transmission had 190 horsepower and automatic transmission had a whopping 225 horsepower LoL. It's absolutely pathetic compared to todays factory stock cars!
