Because of Jo Koy I now have an arsenal of photos/videos of my son in his sister's tutu's, playing tea, sleeping in her Princess bed and his multiple meltdowns through the years. He's 12 now.. Now I just sit back and wait for him to pop off 😂😂😂
Man, I first remember randomly switching to this one night. I didn't even know who you were but I watched it because of the Filipino references. Needless to say, I woke up my family cause I was laughing too hard.
damn, i'm laughing but almost teared up listening to him imitate his son. my son was the same way and it tugs at your heart. plus i hid under the school when i was younger crying my eyes out cause mom left me there, then i saw her car pull off....i'm like 'geez, this is the worst woman ever!' lol
I cried everyday of the first day til second grade... my dad died before second grade started so i was a real mess. They let me sit in the teachers lounge and eat ice cream all day 😂😂😂😂
My daughter cried so hard the night before her first day of Kindergarten. Like literally so hard she made herself puke. She was scared to leave me because I was very pregnant with her youngest siblings (twins) but she was more scared to leave her younger brother and sister. And the day of her little face was red and blotchy and her eyes were red and puffy. So of course I washed her up and took her to school. I knew the crying would stop as soon as she got in and met other kids. She met kids, but still wasn’t wanting me to leave her. After about a hour later. I snuck by the closed kindergarten door. And she looked like she was having fun. So I went home for the last hour of school. I came back to get her and stood back she was laughing and talking and having a blast. Then she saw me and instantly started crying like she hadn’t seen me in years. I asked what was wrong. And she just said oh I just missed you so much. The next morning I planned on walking her in AGAIN. And she told me no she was a independent gal. And barely waited for the car to stop and jumped out. That was 31 years ago.
@Insignificant Speck Of Dust It's alright, life's hard on everyone. Some have it earlier in life some have it later. Pls don't let your past burden you. Forget it and be a better person than if. I wish you luck 🤞🍀
@Insignificant Speck Of Dust Oh sweetie!!! I'm sorry to hear that. It was his loss at being able to see you walk in on your first day of school. Even though your mom was bruised up and probably a bit embarrassed she sucked it up and escorted her little girl into her class. So at least you had a good caring mom.
First day of school I thought of all those heart crushing scenes of my baby girl crying, not wanting me to leave her with a class of strangers. She dashed into the crowd of her age without even looking back. I cried, for a whole different reason.
My son did the exact thing to me. I was almost in tears and he was embarrassed because I was taking him to school. He is 11 and goes to 6th grade. He asks me to leave him half a block from school. Maybe is because he likes a girl at his class. Even told me to buy fancy chocolates for her this valentine's day.
i remember my daughter breaking out with hives all over her body and crying, because she was stressed about entering high school.... :) i shld have recorded those moments, now its all forgotten. but you reminded me of those moments. you are brilliant Jo Koy turning these common occurrences into a show:)
Joe, my sons name is Joseph, and he’s 18. We laugh into tears at your comedy. I love it, as a father I can relate and my son and I use many of your skit voices when we talk to each other and laugh every time. Your a great and funny comedian. I’m glad I found your stand up... Your our favorite!!!!:) Would love to have a beer with you one day if your ever in Chicago!
I am half Filipino like Jo. My Mom is what we call a true FilAm. She was born in Stockton Ca in 1948. When my twin sister and I went to our first day of school, we didn't fuss or cry, we couldn't wait to get to school. We looked at the fence line where all the parents were, Mom was crying her eyes out. My Dad, who is a true American immigrant (He immgrated with granny to Los Angeles from Ennis County Clare Ireland in 1959 when he was 13 with his two younger sisters) Was sitting in the car reading the newspaper.. Hahahahaha!
September 3, 2022 & I'm back watching this video again - I'm hooked on Jo Koy, the funniest comedian I've heard in many a long year. This guy's punch line is always unexpected and so spot on, unbelievable how good he is.
I truly belly laugh with no sound coming out at you Jo Koy every single time I watch you perform. You're well on your way to becoming one of the all time greatest comedians ever.....thanks man
You are not the only one betrayed by your offspring Jo! Something similar happened to me when I dropped my daughter off at her first day of school. She did not cry and was quick to dismiss me. Seventeen - eighteen years later, the thought of the betrayal still stings a bit. 😉🤣
Same here, My daughter's first day of kindergarten, I picked her up and we were walking home. She said in her clearest voice "Mom, walk ahead, pretend you don't know me". My heart dropped. I still remember that feeling from that memory. she's 23 years old now.:)
@@victoriar9728 Yes! I was expecting her to cry and ask me not to leave. She was like, nope, this is chance I been waiting for...bye, Mama! My son had warned the teacher that he didn't feel well and she said it was ok because his mom would come get him. My son turned next to the little girl beside him and he threw up all over her and her backpack. He said he felt much better after that.
