My Skateboarding Progress in April 2023 - Part 2

- I decided it would be nice to reflect on the past year of my skateboarding activities month by month and make a video for each.
So that means a series of videos attempting to fit in and describe what was happening.
I'm mainly doing this to make some diary of the year I can look back on in years to come but it's also a good way of filling in You viewers on what I've been doing in between the other videos I have already published.

The pool skating was my favorite part. I know pools are hard to film but you do a good job with it. It just looks good and sounds good.

Those rock n rolls are so close you just need to really focus your mind to bring it right round. I remember learning them on mini ramp never got them on vert but I can feel that motion again watching you.
I’ve got a lot better at them since this was filmed but I still haven’t got them on vert yet, I still feel too weightless when I get up there so something I need to work on for 2024.
Looks surprisingly quiet in a lot of these clips for such a rad spot, awesome work Neil!
Thanks 👍🏻 yeah sometimes I get lucky or just make a point of filming when there’s not many people about. Otherwise people get in the way of the camera 😉
@@NeilHesterSkateboarding Do you find it weird filming or is it pretty much the status quo with the teenage/20s crowd these days? :P
@@chrisriotwothousand it’s ok if I just set the camera down and leave it rolling but it’s a bit difficult to do much more than that.
Your bowl skating is real good I never mastered the frontside stuff and carving bowls.
Thanks 👍🏻 I enjoy bowls the most, gotta get my fs stuff as good as the bs but it’s a lot of work when I think about comparing the two.
I hope your not to hard on your self because your standard is real good for someone that’s re learning stuff later on in life.

The Airwalks have been reissued a couple of times now, the last time was a few years ago by sports direct (they own the brand name in the uk now) but they don’t stock the prototypes anymore. They do pop up on eBay now and again but usually way overpriced (I wouldn’t pay more than £50 a pair).
I bought a few pairs as I knew they would be a limited availability. They’ve also been reissued in the USA and sold by JC Penny but the soles are wrong on those ones.

@@andymason2981 cool 👍🏻 they were always something I wanted as a kid in the late 80’s and early 90’s but were out of my reach, I did have a couple of pairs of cheaper vision street wears and once I got old enough to have money of my own I started collecting old stock ones that popped up on eBay, I had a quite a collection, some I sold of and some I still have.
