Pump and Dump seems to be more of a strategy for the investor to make quick gains, not so much as an elaborate pyramid scheme. Basically, whoever buys early can leverage the pump.
It's not a pyramid but rather a ponzi.
You can clearly see they rob new members to pay old members.

But normally pump continues about 10 minutes, then it creates big up an down waves, I myself sell it after 30% of price growth. I never lost money on it. Actually making some good gains on it.🤷♂️
One time I was not aware of Such bump on Ssv, I was Able to sell also as fast as I bought.. I. Won 30%:) After 5 minute everything dumped...
That's what I mean, yeah truth is that sometimes pump lasts for even just for a 1 minute, but if you're fast enough at buying and selling quickly, you can make 15%-30%.

This happens to me, and luckily I open position with Infinity Grid on Kucoin Exchange. So even the coin start to dump after pump, the arbitrage from buy low-sell high with high volatility when flash pump has covered my floating loss when the bots keep buying when price drops. Now i'm excited so search next pair which to be target of accumulation
Be best to find out the corners are going to pump ahead of time and buy them set a limit order prior to the pump

Why not just buy a coin that is known to pump and dump and immediately set a limit sell order at a safe level say 50%. Since we know its just a matter of time before the pump comes i dont see how you can lose
It doesn't work since it happens in less than 1minutes. I Myself got into one PUMP scheme knowing everything just thinking im smart. When that 3M channel posted pump i brought immediate and was thinking to sell immediate but price kept fluctuating very much, i almost brought it at midway of pump and within with 3min i had lost 30% of my money. I never could sell it since things happened fast, it was like you are up againest bot's/programs and its upto organisers who sell immediately after pump. Prices fluctuates so quick that your only chance is to loose. So people get scammed of their money and organizers enjoy the process. Such a evil transaction, you feel so sad after a loss. Though i sold coin within 5min but i was already at 30% loss, if i waited more it could had been 70-80% loss. So such a easy way to loose money.
@@poetryrecapped did you use a market sell order or limit? In your case time was lost because you bought in after they announced the pump. I think if you just buy into a pump/dump like bitcoin diamond and set it to market auto sell or even a stop limit order, your order should be one of the first to sell because you are completely bypassing the scam. I could be wrong since I never tried it but don't see why the dump organizer would have any advantage over your sell order. In fact you would likely sell before they do
@@gort3969 i Brought it just when they announced, obviously i can't buy it before since i don't know which coin they will be pumping. So we can argue, maybe my speed of placing order was slow but i think that's what u think after loosing actually whole process acts like a scam from members.
You should read.my reply, it hardly took 2-3min for coin to crash. I had placed sell order immediately after buy order at 90% profit thinking as per their say coin will pump 400% but it never did. So again argument can be i should have placed sell order at 10% but you actually get into that greed stuff and coin fluctuates very much.
@@gort3969 in short at last i realize it's a gamble, where game is of organisers and you are up against not only the them but also various programmed bots which do order within milli seconds. So i guess i never had a chance just got fooled.
P.S i did things as fast as possible but actually when u loose little u hold and wait so that market rises but after that it only dumps. So their is no second chance. Better safe than sorry, or better design your own trading bots.
You say that knowledge of how to code can help to use those strategies, but how do you even know when there is a huge pump, or just a quick grow in price due to natural causes? The only thing I can think of is to see when there are big price spikes, and short the pair afterwards.
The coins that are pumped are normally announced in a telegram or discord chat
and this is why you stay away from "fake" new crypto releases and stick to the big serious ones.

Absolutely. But normally the coins that can be shorted have a high market cap, so many organizers avoid it because it makes for a harder pump.

It all depends on how much money you're putting in versus the coin you're investing in. If you're putting in a lot of money you're better off sticking with the top five. And just holding for long term nothing going for long shots and get to stay up with the news and what point is popular at the time and kind of ride it up It's a bit difficult I mean you need to know when it take profits. Other than that you could trade which is not investing but actively trading the volatility of a market but I would learn how to do that before you try it.

As far as I know, there's no regulation against Pump and Dumps in Crypto. Most exchanges say its against their terms and conditions, but generally turn a blind eye to it
