the beginning sounds so awkward when she first comes in. like, the band started later in the arrangement or something, but the first time i watched it, it sounded like she missed her cue. i guess she didn't though.

She’s an amazingly talented artist it’s a shame people don’t take her seriously because of her look at me fashion statements in order to garner attention at first. But she’s classically trained in a lot of instruments and has a register only matched by the old masters. I encourage everyone to do some research on her

This was a song of her career in terms of importance. She transcends a lot of demographics and her support for this new office is so important. Not only that we all know that idiot tucker I have no talent carson would use any mistakes against the incoming President so the pressure must have been huge. I personally, as a brit, felt so much pride for your nation hearing her sing with that real passion. A real palpable desire for a positive change. She nailed it and was more than awesome. Just stunning.

I'm not sure what I can say in response to your statement about the American identity because I'm not an American although I grew up being exposed to American pop culture through mass media. :3 But based on watching several renditions of the Star-Spangled Banner by celebrities and how my country has to sing our national anthem, I found that the best way to sing the national anthem (any national anthem, not just the American one) is to keep it simple. :)

Watching Gaga sing the National Anthem merely two weeks after the attack on our Capitol was extremely emotional. For I could feel in her voice the joyful celebration that "our flag was still there". Yes, Gaga's delivery of our anthem was about reaffirming that this is still the "land of the free and the home of the brave". And she did it with all her heart in it!

IMHO a truly historic rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner. It's incredibly well sung. And celebrates American democracy in the aftermath of the storming of the Capitol -- with a song from the PREVIOUS time the Capitol was stormed. History + an incredible song in harmony.

This brought a tear to my eyes She was the perfect choice for this inauguration. She works for social justice and is an advocate for those struggling, which is symbolic of the Democratic Party. I LOVED her dove, the symbol of peace, on her sweater. She made us proud and gives me hope, which we desperately need.
